Off to watch part II. Very great delivery with fantastic information. Thanks for making this video. I've been a Panasonic user since 2008, with an HPX-170 and GH4. Both have been issue free with amazing battery life. I hope to add this to my kit. It is currently winning over the RED Raven.
Well done. Thanks, great insights and smooth delivery.
What connector does the monitor connect to this camera, I mean standard and not HDMI?
Thank's for this useful and well made review. I've got one question about this camera. Does the iris works continuously with lenses like Canon EF 24-105 and Canon EF 70-200 ?
I mean, can we adjust smoothly the aperture during a shoot if light change (cloud for exemple) or does the iris work step by step with a noticeable closing (or opening) effect on the image ?
Thank you for your answer.
Here is a response from Nic: On lenses like the Canon 24-105mm or 70-200mm you will generally see noticeable stepping of the iris/aperture when controlling it through the camera body or grip. As a general rule, any still photo style lens with that kind of electronic iris control will be subject to that stepped look, rather than a smooth change, though how noticeable with vary from lens to lens.
Question. Does Panasonic work in my VLOG TV?
Is it possible to record internally to AVCHD Rec709 and output 10-bit 4:2:2 VLOG externally?
Here is a response from Nic, one of our tech specialists: It is not possible. If the main recording mode is set to one of the scene looks, then all the other outputs will be set to and locked to that look as well."
