You didn't need the red dragon to start a fire. When I was a kid and played sims (without makin' magic) my sim would always start a fire when I tried to make them use the grill. I only realized when I played sims again a few years later that sims with 0 culinary skill will always start a fire when cooking, but these never happened in sims 2 lol
The ones from the first game are so much more interactive like a living being, that have their own little personalities and characters. Yet the ones in sims 3 is just an object that gives certain boosts or gives you sim abilities to do certain stuff, or get certain stuff. And to me i like the first ones better
Obviously they're better in the first game, but dragons in ts3 came with a store world, not an expansion pack. So I'm sure they'd be a lot more developed if that were the case
i prefer the dragons from the sims 1, they look more like dragons and can move around like pets, but in the sims 3, they are like and object in the house and they look more like crows, also because of the sounds and their way of flying around
The dragons in 1 were more mobile because they were based off of cats and dogs; the dragons in 3 are based off of large birds so they can't move on their own but they can be carried while doing other actions. I prefer the ones in 3 because they have more abilities and interactions.
I just wish sims 4 came up with a pack like "supernatural" from sims 3. I have been wanting to create real fairies and werewolves for so long 😭 they could also add dragons and stuff It would be so cool...
If it happens, it won't be in 1 pack. One pack for fairies, another for unicorns, another for dragons, and so on. Werewolves proved that EA has no limits when it comes to their greediness
I don't know if you did one or planning to do it, but I would love to see an episode about running a business between sims 2, 3, and 4. (Yes they is a kind of weird business mechanic in the sims 3 if you buy the Midnight Hollow world, is the bonus premium content).
Yeah, that'd be cool. Sadly it's the one place where 3 is just the inferior one, but at least it exists I guess? I imagine people who don't know much about the store don't even know it does. It's kind of a shame that hasn't been expanded on because Sims 3 actually has pretty good real estate system and resort business management was actually decent, even if not as good as OFB. I imagine if someone could integrate the business system as seen in resorts with the store shop, restaurant and bakery content (or better yet, ani's versions), it would be a pretty cool new system.
Even getting it through origin would've saved The Sims anniversary, you see Mario's 35th anniversary and nintendo launched 3 of the games for switch, you see EA with The Sims and it's crickets with a fricken hot tub, total disrespect on a game that just turned 20!
@@CustomKnights yeah! i totally agree! i actually have the sims deluxe edition that i played when i was little, but i didn't know that there were any other accessories/resource packs, (i found out about it years later) but they are so hard to find now. I think that these packs were awesome and i would totally appreciate having the option to play "the full package" of ts1! i got TS2 through origin years ago, and i always thought that the same thing would happen with ts1, but sadly it didn't! I still have some hope to play ts1 with all the accessories though! in ts1 i feel like there was so much passion to create smth different and fun and nowadays i sadly don't see that with ts4 for ex. :(
@@Odlotx Well, sims 1 is fairly easy to download with all the expansions in 1 go, it's making it work with modern systems that is the pain in the ass lol, maybe that's why they haven't launched it but come on! I'm sure they must have someone who could make it work

It's so upsetting how all the style of the magic stuff from the Sims 1 MM got genericized and lamer in the later games. That game had such an intense and unique feel and charm. You'd think they'd try to draw from that, considering it is one of the most beloved expansions...
On The Sims 4 Outdoor Retreat part of video (9:39), that dragon reminds me a lot of a Dragon baby in Moomin(1990). It was also in jar, was same shaped, had Dragonfly wings and breathed small fire...and it also had 6 legs... but at least its coloring was different as well as it was far more reptile that this bug one.
They're not really more practical, they're just enhanced Small Pets from Sims 3 Pets. Besides, if you had Sims 3 and they were big pets, like dogs, cats, horses, and unicorns, then you could control the dragon directly. :D
Thanks for reminding me how disappointed I was that familiars (including that cute little dragon) are basically just drones in Sims 4. I want to PLAY with my new magical pets, not just have them follow me around and make the occasional comment! At any rate, I prefer how Sims 1 dragons actually acted as PETS, but I like how Sims 3 dragons had magical powers. Something between the two would be nice if we got "official" dragons again. (Though I had no idea there were dragon-flies in Sims 4! I'm gonna have to go back to Granite Falls and do some more insect hunting!)

I'm also in the middle cause ones have powers while the others have freedom but I lean more towards Sims 3 cause the fire in Sims 1 is deadly so it's just asking for trouble lol, I don't think we'll get dragons but it'd be nice if at some point they revisit them to make them better. If I made TS5: Dragons would be introduced in The Sims 5: Hocus Pocus (HP) and can be found in the New World, you need to talk to the big Witch and ask her to purchase an egg. There are five eggs. Red, Green, Black, Purple and Blue. They can kill you, if you are its archinemesis, and if you are its Good Friend, you can put saddles introduced in The Sims 5: Vehicles (V).
I've been having trouble keeping dragons in The Sims 1 happy. After hatching, move around a lot and eat flowers normally. Basically all normal behaviours, like wandering, eating, playing with their toy and playing with stray animals. But after a while they'll stay in one place and keep doing an animation, which they will only interrupt occasionally to sleep in their nest. When this happens, they will react negatively to any interactions from my Sims, except for a Sim giving them a treat. Just after receiving a treat, they'll accept regular interactions again, for a short while. However, they will not eat flowers and go back to that same animation soon. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I've always thought my sims one had a glitch. The fires spread and jump in The Sims. Not in any of the other games.

The Sims makin' magic was my favourite expansion pack. It still rivals sims 3's supernatural. That's how fun it was.

Dragon familiar is cute BUT i want classic sim Dragons in TS4!
