Picked up one dish, put it on the floor and didn’t clean it, sat on the couch and watched TV and then proceeded to leave and charge me. I ended up firing her since she NEVER cleaned. The maids in the other sims games literally cleaned EVERYTHING and didn’t stop until the house was spotless. The sims 4 maids are just as useless as the sims 3 babysitters.
Mi house once had a bug in Sims 1 that made a single dirty plate unwashable and untouchable. The flies swarmed and the noise was so annoying i had to restart another game.
I feel that in the sims 4 keeping your house tidy is quite easy, therefore I never use the maid. I miss the difficulty level of keeping it together from the previous games.
Yeah things get dirty pretty slowly and many things don't require upkeep at all such as the beds and houseplants. Why can't I water my houseplants!!!!?

It’s so easy to start a new save file and have everything you need within a few hours. It’s just not rewarding.
Talking about maid in the sim though: English is not my mother's tongue, when me and big bro was just a kid, my bro click "fire" on a maid and thought that it will set the maid on fire, although I already knew that "fire" means dismiss in this case... The Sims 2 had the best music imo. The music in Sims 4 just doesn't make me feel as creative... It's too soft and mellow, Sims 2 was hip and fast, I liked it better. I was gonna try Sims 3 agian but goddamn it's an unstable mess... Every option while making a sim takes atleast 3-5 seconds.
In the Sims 3 I made a family, had their son marry the maid, made his daughter marry the maid and then made their daughter marry the maid again, it was this large family tree where all the children will marry and have children with the maids.
Bonehilda also does stuff a nanny does like feeding a baby and changing diapers. Once in Sim 3 a burglar showed up while a maid was still in the house, the maid beat up the burglar while the household was freaking out.
in the sims bustin out for home consoles, you can get your maid eaten by the sim eater plant and the maid will continue to come but as a ghost and walk through walls and objects to clean. thats the winning maid for me!

Yes! The strong storylines were what got me invested in Sims 2 for years! My favorite gameplay was the Broke family cause it was just too hard to make them get through life.
Seeing Brigid (the sims 1 maid) react to Bonehilda is one of the funniest memories I have of that game. Me and a friend just wanted the house to be cleaned faster after a huge fire and so put them both to work at the same time, before the pop-up showed up, we called my mom to read it (the game was the english and it isn't our first language. We played it with a first year of learning knowledge, by asking parents to read things for us and with a whole lot of guessing) and we just burst into laughter at her reaction. We later used an entire army of Bonehildas to do the job, which was better. Having ten Bonehildas strolling around the lot was something I recomend to everyone.
I would love a mix of Sims 2 and 3 for the maids. I really liked the fact that an extra maid would come if the house is too dirty (Never played TS3) and I also miss the ability to choose how much you wanna tip them (TS2 was my childhood)

And the female maid in Sims 2, she wound up sleeping with 2 sims and having kids by each. It was a mess lol

One time in The Sims 3 my Bonehilda somehow got eaten by cowplant lol. I didn't even know that was possible, like, double-dead Bonehilda is really funny when I think about it. Anyway, Bonehilda became an urn and can show up as a ghost, and you can even invite her into the household! I saved her in my gallery and got a playable Bonehilda through that incident XD
Sims one has the best nostalgia feeling like the words, voices, sound effect are all stuff that just is like music to my ears, warm feeling lol Sims 2 is overral one of the best games they made, the expansions they had, the creativity and the speed they delivered it was just incredible Sims 3 followed the footsteps of two with sharper details however the overral feel of the game and certain ways things were done where so different. (The furniture was also the ugliest lol) Sims 4 had potential but still to this day i have no idea why they released the base game with no toddlers, have taken out all cars, issued loading screens for everywhere you visit and only release like two expansion packs a year with the same amount of detail as previous games with double the time. However the content you are able to download is brilliant lol
There's a bonus for the Sims 1 if you've played the console version... The Maid used to complain that nobody ever cleans up. Yup. That maid used to hate your guts for hiring her. That's why I like to replace her with that baboon you call out of a tree later in "Get a life" mode.
I'm amazed that The Sims 1 had so many simple yet immersive features that The Sims 4 either still lacks or only introduced after years of waiting and at extra cost (aquariums and roaches). It's the small creative touches that kept The Sims from being boring. Sims 4 base game is unbearably dull, and the overpriced packs give us the bare minimum.
did you try sims 3? it didn't feel like *that* much of an improvement when I started playing it, compared to sims 2, but now I could never go back. to me, it feels like a better sims 2. while in sims 4, they just ditched like 70% of the stuff I loved about sims.
I mean, with the loading screens I don't see a reason to have cars. You would just get into your car, ride it for like 5 seconds, disappear, see a loading screen and then reappear on a another lot, where you would ride your car for more five seconds and then get out... It doesn't sound very exciting to me lol.
I remember I had a few amusing moments with maids in Sims 2 Pets for PS2. One is when I didn't have money to pay the maid, so she pulled out a portal gun and sent the kitty scratching station into a portal in the wall. Second is a mistranslation of "Fire", so I had the options to give her the day off or "Shoot".
I made Sims 3 Kaylynn Langerak a maid when she became an adult. Thought it fitting. She even came as the second maid once. After that I got them a permanent, live-in maid in the form of a resurrected Sim. Well, the maid thing was more a cover, but she still did all the cleaning. She's still with us.

Yes! The strong storylines were what got me invested in Sims 2 for years! My favorite gameplay was the Broke family cause it was just too hard to make them get through life.
We need that soap opera back.
Seeing Brigid (the sims 1 maid) react to Bonehilda is one of the funniest memories I have of that game. Me and a friend just wanted the house to be cleaned faster after a huge fire and so put them both to work at the same time, before the pop-up showed up, we called my mom to read it (the game was the english and it isn't our first language. We played it with a first year of learning knowledge, by asking parents to read things for us and with a whole lot of guessing) and we just burst into laughter at her reaction.
We later used an entire army of Bonehildas to do the job, which was better. Having ten Bonehildas strolling around the lot was something I recomend to everyone.

I really liked the fact that an extra maid would come if the house is too dirty (Never played TS3) and I also miss the ability to choose how much you wanna tip them (TS2 was my childhood)

Sims 2 had more realistic movement when performing any cleaning actions, and Sims 2 was always one of the best sims games so far in my opinion (I also think Sims 3 is a very good game). There's something about Sims 2 that the other games don't have...

Twice in Sims 2 I had my character start a relationship with the maid. Brandi Broke. She wound up marrying the male maid. Can't remember his name but they had like 10 kids and were all B names. And the female maid in Sims 2, she wound up sleeping with 2 sims and having kids by each. It was a mess lol

they won't go into my house and *stare all day long* in front of door house, if I going to control my sims outside and didn't take a look into my house since they're coming. 😠
anyway, bonehilda still doing the same, she grabs some foods and leaves it without any bite (they don't need to eat any foods at all) 😂
but she is my best dog trainer! she cares about my dog, and she periodicly fills my dog's food bowl for *FREE* 🐕
i love her, because she clean every little mess on my lot, work all day long without any fee 🤗💞

One time in The Sims 3 my Bonehilda somehow got eaten by cowplant lol. I didn't even know that was possible, like, double-dead Bonehilda is really funny when I think about it. Anyway, Bonehilda became an urn and can show up as a ghost, and you can even invite her into the household! I saved her in my gallery and got a playable Bonehilda through that incident XD

Sims 2 is overral one of the best games they made, the expansions they had, the creativity and the speed they delivered it was just incredible
Sims 3 followed the footsteps of two with sharper details however the overral feel of the game and certain ways things were done where so different. (The furniture was also the ugliest lol)
Sims 4 had potential but still to this day i have no idea why they released the base game with no toddlers, have taken out all cars, issued loading screens for everywhere you visit and only release like two expansion packs a year with the same amount of detail as previous games with double the time. However the content you are able to download is brilliant lol

I'm amazed that The Sims 1 had so many simple yet immersive features that The Sims 4 either still lacks or only introduced after years of waiting and at extra cost (aquariums and roaches). It's the small creative touches that kept The Sims from being boring. Sims 4 base game is unbearably dull, and the overpriced packs give us the bare minimum.

did you try sims 3? it didn't feel like *that* much of an improvement when I started playing it, compared to sims 2, but now I could never go back. to me, it feels like a better sims 2. while in sims 4, they just ditched like 70% of the stuff I loved about sims.

You would just get into your car, ride it for like 5 seconds, disappear, see a loading screen and then reappear on a another lot, where you would ride your car for more five seconds and then get out... I remember I had a few amusing moments with maids in Sims 2 Pets for PS2.
One is when I didn't have money to pay the maid, so she pulled out a portal gun and sent the kitty scratching station into a portal in the wall.
Second is a mistranslation of "Fire", so I had the options to give her the day off or "Shoot".
In Sims 4 whenever I hire a maid they just pick up a few things and leave and take like $200 :/

Bonehilda in The Sims 3 was annoying sometimes because there is always that one sim that gets scared and runs away all the time.
I made Sims 3 Kaylynn Langerak a maid when she became an adult. Thought it fitting. She even came as the second maid once. After that I got them a permanent, live-in maid in the form of a resurrected Sim. Well, the maid thing was more a cover, but she still did all the cleaning. She's still with us.
