I like the temperaments idea but the Sims 3 werewolves seem scarier. Also they benefit from the fact that they had more unique audio clips with appropriate tone. Sims 4 werewolves just sound like normal sims a lot it seems
Sims 3 has to win this hands down as the werewolves are really well made, but the real thing is that you get the fairies and witches with the pack. Supernaturals was an amazing expansion adding hours of awesome fun to the game. I am sure that you could have fun playing sims 4 werewolves but, like everything else in sims 4, it can't be taken seriously and it's missing the content of the unique interactions between all of the occults. The fairies and witches were so much fun to play that I didn't bother to play werewolves very often
I love how how gosh darn adorable sims 3 werewolves can be, acting like domesticated dogs. The dude getting belly rubs made my evening. The werewolves getting scolded and hit with newspaper was also hilarious. While I do like that sims 4 werewolf forms look like wolves, I think they look too human. They look less like werewolves and more like fursonas. I do, however, like the tug of war interaction, mostly because the guy with the umbrella nonchalantly walked past two werewolves playing like it's any other tuesday. I am not really a fan of the werewolf forms in sims 3, but that's just personal preference because I think those should have been their """human""" form and a different, more wolfish appearance can be had on the full moon, perhaps more akin to that of sims 2, which is right up uncanny valley for me and I love how it calls back to the horror origins of werewolves.
Sims 1: werewolf looks hella amazing, but it was more or less just a costume but did set the stage for werewolves being in the sims. Sims 2: Had the classic wolfman vibe and came in the pet's pack which was an added bonus. Sims 3: Hands down my fav werewolves in the sim's games so far! Has the more "Ugly Wolfman vibe" and I REALLY love their interactions with other sims and even getting smacked with some Newpaper XD. Sims 4: Sims 4 did almost everything right with werewolves just like they did with vampires, but I really hate how "human" they acted while in there wolf form. I cannot tell you how many mods and cc I had to download to make em look more like a werewolf then a cute cuddy furry. But they still pulled it of hella well and I'm just glad to see em return.
Love, please tell me what mods cuz I need my weresims to look like werewolfs not furries (no beef with furries, just those two things are different things and I want werewolfs)
There were a lot of things you missed, at least in Sims 3 and Sims 4. Like, in Sims 4 we get a whole LOT of lore about werewolves, and lore has been sadly missing in that game, so it's a nice addition. In Sims 3 you can also send your werewolf out hunting for collectibles, and they will run around digging at random spots and give you random collectibles. They added that back into Sims 4, but the only collectibles you can get are ones specifically associated with the pack. (In Sims 3 they can be from any pack.)
The ability to have actual wolf packs makes sims 3 the winner for me. S3 werewolves can form their own packs, and hunt for collectibles together. It works like grouping up, except if you have a pack leader (generally the werewolf with the highest skill in lycanthropy) will get most of the loot. In S3 there's a hidden werewolf skill, same with spell casting. The more you level it up, the better your werewolves at be in their lycanthropy. Werewolves also provide a unique weather type when interacting with the Seasons totem. They summon a snowstorm which draws out a bounty of collectibles for packs to hunt. Werewolves make for excellent companions for sims pursuing alchemy and other skills requiring collecting. A cute interaction between vampires and werewolves is comparing fangs (werewolves have bigger fangs).
sims 2 werewolves kinda look like burn victims, sims 3 werewolves were probably the inspiration for the tern wolf werewolf designs and sims 4 werewolves are just furries. love to see it! 👌
Sims 3 werewolves look a bit too human for my liking, but I like some of the interactions. Sims 4 werewolves have the best look, though (except for those more human feet), and I'm eager to actually experience playing one myself (I never really cared that much back in my Sims 2 days).
Well, you didn't miss much with Sims 2 lol. They made it really hard to transform and then they barely do anything! But I guess I give them a pass cause this was an extra with pets (reason why I'm not against making separate packs for separate occults)
I like the Versatility of The Sims 4's Design, personally. I DON'T give a DAMN if They look "Furry", I just care that they atleast look like a Animal. a Easy Way to make them atleast look less Human, is to get a little Mod, that changes their Feet (Their Hands are Fine), take their Eyebrows away in Werewolf Form, and change their Eyes to ones where the Eyewhite is Black instead, those little changes do actually do a considerable bit of work
10:34 The worst and most fun thing about Carnivore temperament is when your sim also has vegetarian trait, the worst combination that could happen in one sim lol.
Oh man, despite how gross I think the Sims 3 Werewolves look, they had some neat interactions! Would've LOVED those to be added to the current interactions in the Sims 4! Ah well, the Sims 4 Werewolves are the best versions anyway, in my opinion!
I don’t really like the sims 4 werewolves cuz they’re just plain out furries and not real werewolves. Don’t get me wrong, I dont have anything against furries but I just wish they were more werewolf looking.
Sims 4 werewolf just gain in desing, i also hated the werewolves look in 3 and never choose those, but their gameplay is way better so i had to hustle my way to make them look more appealing
The werewolves in the sims 4 are so chaotic in a way and I love it lol My sim was close to a rampage and she was making food in her kitchen when she just randomly stopped cooking and peed in the middle of the kitchen floor. Had me laughing.
@@ProtectusCZ true and I do wish that that had happened for ts4, but I think splitting the occults up gave them time to focus on each at a time and make them special in their own way. If you look at occults like mermaids and aliens that were added in as extras to expansions look how lackluster they are. The actual occults that came in packs are very fun and detailed.
@@thekingofrap6320 It gave them more reasons to milk players for their money. Occults have more UI menus but TS4 is just compilation of bugs and shallow gameplay.
@@ProtectusCZ you’re saying this as if ts3 wasn’t a compilation of horrid lag and crashing. I know ts4 is FARRRR from perfect and I know that EA has a habit of trying to milk their player base but I have to agree with the idea of splitting up the occults. Like I said splitting up the occults allowed then to focus on each occult separately and make them different and not just skins like in previous games. You don’t have to like ts4 or EA but you cannot lie and say that the occults are better in the previous games.
I too hope fairies are next! I know it's not ideal to have specific packs for 1occult but if they each have a custom world and it's a game pack then I'm not as opposed tbh. A fairy world would be amazing!
I really like the werewolf interactions in the sims 3, but sims 4 I love the most for the way the werewolves look to the customization options like painting their fur!
@@andy3074 LOL TS3 Werewolfs look amazing. Just like in Teenwolf series. TS4 version look like animal cartoon for childrens. TS3 is masterpiece compared to TS4.
Based on gameplay, the Sims 4 variation is really polished. Not my absolute favourite, but it has really a lot of potential and replayability. Based on look, social interactions and personality, I prefer the Sims 3 version. They look more intimidating, although a bit funny as well. But way better than the Sims 4 "cute cat" look, in my opinion.
Despite the ones in Sims 4 looking like someone's online fursona which I can understand, yes, it can be cringe looking (I say this as a furry myself, haters gonna hate). They are the most fleshed out compared to the other Sims games. Though I think it's because that the game pack that they're featured in was the main focus, and therefore they have more interactions and options within them, compared to when they were just more of an after thought in most expansions like Supernatural or Makin' Magic. Love 'em or hate 'em, the werewolves are the most fleshed out in Sims 4 in my opinion. I especially love how you can have them be the menace of the neighborhood, or work to have them be accepted by every other Sim. Especially vampires, which they both start with a bad relationship, but can work to be friends with enough time and effort.
He/she returns! Good to see a vid from you again. It seems to be a split with 3 and 4. While 4's werewolves seem impressive mechanically, I particularly like the Fury thing and the progression like with vampires, I'm not sold on the art style. Ok, that's the same with me for Sims 4 as a whole, but I really don't like the look of them this time around. I think they did a better job with 3's werewolves, looks wise. I personally give this one to 3, with 4 coming in a very close 2nd.
I liked what sims 4 was going for but sims 3 wolves feel more realistic in action and don't look like 2019 cats but if they decided to use dog suits instead.

They definitely went with a more Wolfman look for Sims 3, while 4 went for a more traditional look. Except the tails, but I'm assuming that's a model thing. Actually, I'm guessing they can't go with a full werewolf look due to engine limitations.
@@ThieflyChap Yeah, they even admitted tails clipped badly so they didn't do them. But I personally am glad for that, because they already look like two-legged dogs for me. If they had tails, this impression would be completed to me 😆
Yeah, I love sims 4. But I think befriending a wolf and they bite you in ts2 is pretty cool. I kind of wished that it was in ts4 so that there are multiple ways to get the cursed bite. But i'm not complaining about this pack. It's pretty cool!
A couple things about the werewolves in Sims 2 because I've just been playing it lately. It's quite hard to make the leader wolf visit and usually he left soon after so you'll have to take your chances for the next couple of nights. I think my play took me about 4 nights with a leader wolf. I tried to find fun things to do for Sims 2 werewolf, there really isn't much else to do than howling. Kinda upset that there isn't much interaction available and my play just feels like my sim turned at night, make other sims pee, and just turned back in the morning. I usually love details in Sims 2, but Sims 2 werewolf is definitely the weakest one out of all three imo
Yep, it's pretty hard to become a werewolf and it's not even a fun occult. They must've rushed this as it was part of Pets and that pack had a lot going on already. Reason why I don't criticize them more for making separate packs for occults now.
I love the fight animation between werewolves and vampires. Vampires are my favorite occult but I had vlad fight Greg. It was so cool. Vlad won in the end but Greg came to the Vampire world for revenge lol
The leader of the pack keeps coming to my plot at night even if there wasn't many plants and no trees there. Sometimes there are two appearing at the same time. No matter how much interaction my Sim gives him, he never bites them even when they became best friends.
To me The Sims 2 is a pinnacle of original Sims series. Of course after original The Sims. Sims 3 is absolute different game to my eyes, heart and soul. Thanks Maxis.
What I prefer Looks: Sims 3 (just what I grew up with) How they act: Sims 3/Sims 4 both have interesting reactions to things around them Transformation: SIMS 4 That thing is so well done and looks amazing + cool
Every time I question the look of Sims 4 werewolves, I have to consider the fact that making a werewolf to match the current maxis match style is pretty difficult. You have to strike that balance between cartoon silly, and actual demon spawn scary.
Idk why the hate for the occult Sims in the TS4. I’m not gonna deny that the TS3 did have more options for them but I’ve really enjoyed playing as occult sims in the TS4. The Spellcasters are really fun.
Totally not fully related…but I would love to see objects from 1,2 and 3 come back including the expansions. Even if I’m some way that have made a come back but the origin designs come back as well as a option. Like the bee keeping station from Sims 1 the original is so cute!!!
The transformation animation in Sims 4 reminds me of The Quarry. If only the actual design of the werewolves had a middle ground 😅 since Sims 4 looks too wolfy and The Quarry isn’t wolfy enough.

I like the temperaments idea but the Sims 3 werewolves seem scarier. Also they benefit from the fact that they had more unique audio clips with appropriate tone. Sims 4 werewolves just sound like normal sims a lot it seems
6:10 that vampire was having a major freak out lol
@@pyzucha76 I have a mod for werewolfs changes the feet to wolfs feet and got another with wolf tails, there great if u want i can tell u
@@Caelumization oh I have them, I thought You have something for the doggo faces
Do they really look like furries? I’ve seen how fursonas look and they look nothing like ts4 werewolves
This is only part 1of 2 but thank you for pointing these out
3:16 I miss the sims 3 Occult options like I miss being a fairy, ghost and genie
@@ChristianBlandon-lp1st Even though I think they suit the Sims 4 style, I get that. Thanks for not hating furries btw lol
Sims 4 werewolf just gain in desing, i also hated the werewolves look in 3 and never choose those, but their gameplay is way better so i had to hustle my way to make them look more appealing
The werewolves in the sims 4 are so chaotic in a way and I love it lol
My sim was close to a rampage and she was making food in her kitchen when she just randomly stopped cooking and peed in the middle of the kitchen floor. Had me laughing.
I'd say that design wise they look like...
Sims 1: Horror movie.
Sims 2: Cats Musical.
Sims 3: Normal Humans with body hair.
Sims 4: Furries.
i LOVE. that the dogs respond to the werewolf howl. it gave me LIFEEEEE
These are not all. Werewolfs in TS3 can also find collectables very easy. Also they have special interaction with Weather stone from Seasons.
Yeah, this is only part 1, I'll cover abilities, children and other extras in part 2
The Sims 4 have done so well with occults, I hope they do a pack for fairies next!
Meanwhile - TS3 had 4 occults in one expansion pack for single price
Ow wow. It looks so brutal in Sims 3. I like it.
6:11 Vampire comes and vampire goes hahaha
But aa werewolves were one of my favorite things in the sims! i love them! :3
Sims 3 Supernatural is the best sims pack to ever exist. My favourite pack EVER
I love your comparison videos! Missed them :_)
I still think the Sims 1 werewolves look the best honestly
My favorite thing about werewolves in media is when I see them portrayed like a little puppy
I really like the werewolf interactions in the sims 3, but sims 4 I love the most for the way the werewolves look to the customization options like painting their fur!
In TS3 you can also change how they look. These are just default looks.
Ts3 is just a crap game because werewolves in ts3 look ugly i hate them
@@andy3074 LOL TS3 Werewolfs look amazing. Just like in Teenwolf series. TS4 version look like animal cartoon for childrens. TS3 is masterpiece compared to TS4.
@@greengreeneya2102 sims 4 look like furries i hate them so much
@greengeeneya2102 Late reply.. but that doesn’t change my mind that I love them better, maybe I just like anthros…
All but The Sims 4's version of werewolves look super uncanny, and I love the social aspect they've given the life state!
I remember i had couple of nightmares with the wolf from ts2 😭
I love that the Sims can get whacked that is really comedic, I wish Sims4 had that mechanic lol
Sims 4 wins on this one, but I can't help but laugh at sims 2 animations. So wholesome.
I think the sims 4 did a lot of things right with werewolf’s but they could still look at previous sims games and take more notes from them
The fairy's laughing sounds like Yzma in cat form from the Emperor's New Groove.
I love sims 2 one, sims 2 is literally the best sims ever made
Bro the sims 4 werewolves have more eye colors that the actual sims
The sims 3 werwolfs walk like gremlins and i love it
He/she returns!
It's a Girl, denise
I think I prefer Sims 4 artstyle overall, and in this case I just can't stand how ugly sims 3 sims are, especially when they're werewolves.
@@alessandro5932 how you know the red plumbob a girl?

@@flies_of_fire Where's the fun in that?
Werewolves in TS3 are quite overpowered. TS4 really gives them handicaps to balance them. Nice.
Ok the Sims 4 werewolf transformation is the coolest werewolf anything I've ever seen
I have been waiting for this since the sims4 werewolves came out!
TS3 is the winner because it has really cool gameplay and just makes the werewoles seem more like wolves
Ts2 has the best werewolves style, I wish they would put that in Ts4!
I liked what sims 4 was going for but sims 3 wolves feel more realistic in action and don't look like 2019 cats but if they decided to use dog suits instead.
Are you blind TS3 werewolf were the ugliest
@@giovannicervone9371 werewolves aren't suppose to be good looking in the first place
@@sithpengu ts3 ispiration were old werewolves movies, that were "semi-beast like creature" with hair, cause they hadn't a decent cgi (or good effects\costume makers were very expensive),but if i wanna play with a werewolf,i play with an antropomorphic wolf, not a poor dude whose transformation stopped midway. Is a Thing of Taste, but Ts4 wolves is getting excessive hate 😅
@@phintheplatypusgirl195 I would have to get cc or mods that makes the wolves look more scary, right now the wolves look too friendly for me. But that is sims 4's cartoony style.

Oh I can see where the lore in the sims 4 came from now
I love how even though the sims 1 only had the opportunity to look like a werewolf, it laid the foundation of the sims used and their clothes of the other 3 games in this comparison
I kinda wish we had werewolves more like sims 2 or 3. I want to be a Wolf-MAN, not a Furry! Straight up I saw my mom make Tony the Tiger in Sims 4 CAS and I haven't been the same!

Wolfs are more realistic in their looks and actions in my opinion in sims 3 ✨
None of them are realistic because werewolves doesn't exist, but ok
I get Ginnette's point though
They definitely went with a more Wolfman look for Sims 3, while 4 went for a more traditional look. Except the tails, but I'm assuming that's a model thing. Actually, I'm guessing they can't go with a full werewolf look due to engine limitations.
@@ThieflyChap Yeah, they even admitted tails clipped badly so they didn't do them. But I personally am glad for that, because they already look like two-legged dogs for me. If they had tails, this impression would be completed to me 😆
They’re just dogs?
DUUUUDE, I didn't even know werewolves can have "occult" fights with vampires 😨
Yeah, I love sims 4. But I think befriending a wolf and they bite you in ts2 is pretty cool. I kind of wished that it was in ts4 so that there are multiple ways to get the cursed bite. But i'm not complaining about this pack. It's pretty cool!
ngl sims 1 and 2 werewolf is pretty cool tho, sims 4 is literally a fursona
@@TheRedPlumbob yeah ikr, also heyy againn :D ! so happy to see you reply again, love how you engage with your viewers like this

Thanks Maxis.
sims 2 is so elite in every aspect, it's crazy
What I prefer
Looks: Sims 3 (just what I grew up with)
How they act: Sims 3/Sims 4 both have interesting reactions to things around them
Transformation: SIMS 4
That thing is so well done and looks amazing + cool
Every time I question the look of Sims 4 werewolves, I have to consider the fact that making a werewolf to match the current maxis match style is pretty difficult. You have to strike that balance between cartoon silly, and actual demon spawn scary.
OH YEAAAAAA YOU DONT KNOW HOW LONG I WAITED FOR THIS VIDEO!!!!!!!! WOOHOO
Glad you're still here :D
Idk why the hate for the occult Sims in the TS4. I’m not gonna deny that the TS3 did have more options for them but I’ve really enjoyed playing as occult sims in the TS4. The Spellcasters are really fun.

in the sims 2 werewolves can also be vampires so if you want to be both at the same time play sims 2
Totally not fully related…but I would love to see objects from 1,2 and 3 come back including the expansions. Even if I’m some way that have made a come back but the origin designs come back as well as a option. Like the bee keeping station from Sims 1 the original is so cute!!!
Amazing video as always!
The transformation animation in Sims 4 reminds me of The Quarry. If only the actual design of the werewolves had a middle ground 😅 since Sims 4 looks too wolfy and The Quarry isn’t wolfy enough.
TS4's werewolves gameplay is pretty advanced, I'll give it that, but their appearance just freaks me out
