12:05 Kos-Mos is probably more popular than the original game at this point thanks to Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (one of the, if not the only, semi-recent games to include gacha mechanics without microtransactions). She was notoriously difficult to pull, so she got pretty popular.
Anyways in terms of obscure PS2 games I loved me a few games of Anti-Grav as a little kid. I had no idea what I was doing but I played the first few stages of that hoverboard racing game so many times

Can confirm; that's her Xenoblade 2 design. The Zohar-shaped dual cannons are a dead giveaway.
Edit: I stand corrected. The figure shown in the picture in _this_ video is her Xenoblade 2 design, but the two he showed off in the next Lost Pause Reddit video are both definitely Xenosaga (a palette variation on her Episode III swimsuit and Ver. 4, respectively).

Where my brand new laptop that's suppose to be ridiculously fast, gaming quality, top of the line, at my dad's or my mom's took like 10 minutes to download and upload an hour long video... at my house it takes over 24 hours. I'm currently uploading a new video that's about 40 minutes... day 2, 50% done.
Just downloading and uploading, video watching via hulu netflix youtube etc still works fine... just downloading and uploading... oh my bad, 52% now.

About the skill tree thing: It's either you can get something with every point => so 1.6 Fire Damage OR each Skill upgrade either comes with a certain level or just plain costs more. So I take the little upgrades.

I haven't thought of Snowblind in years. Do you remember "Cold Winter"? Similar dismemberment system to "Soldier of Fortune", you could craft weapons and create improvised cover?
Something funny that happened was a Brazilian Streamer named Alanzoka, who got a mage build and "kamehameha'd" his way to the end of the game.
(Except for a specific boss who was immune to magic and made his use another build entirely)

one terrible thing of those huge and complicated talent trees (the one at 09:40 reminded me somehow of FF-X): you have to traverse so many expensive and mostly useless skills until you finally reach one of the more useful ones. and if it get´s really bad, you´ve finished the game - twice - before even completing that skill tree.

12:07 Motherfluffling DARK CLOUD 2, on gah. It's such a good game, the voice acting is hilarious, the story is interesting, and despite being an early 2000s JRPG it _had_ a postgame, so you could continue playing with your ultimate weapons even after defeating the Final Boss.
Returning to the VAs, the Main Character is voiced by Robin from Teen Titans, while the Big Bad is voiced by Luke Skywalker.
I've been thinking a bit about how video-games can push players in a certain direction while keeping them open for those who want to explore areas out of order.
One idea I had came from seeing a few mythologies and religions talk about auspicious directions and hours. If a person takes a trip at an inauspicious time or goes on that trip in an inauspicious direction they will meet misfortune. I was thinking a mythology based game could have a set path that changes due to the time of day, where monsters would be weaker or less common. A player who is low on health or items could rush towards the auspicious path as fast as possible to try to save themselves or more ambitious players may try to book it to the next town, and get a bunch of higher level equipment, at a bad time to see if they get lucky and make it there.
I'm not sure if anything does this exact thing, but it's similar to how Breath of the Wild has all the paces you can go open all at once, just with an in game guide for players who want to do things in order.

No one's ever heard of Dual Hearts for the PS2 and I genuinely want to cry because that was the first JRPG I ever beat as a kid and I remember the mascot being this adorable chubby fat Pig/Bunny looking thing.
I remember Dual Hearts but I was also in my 20s and had subscriptions to Official PlayStation Magazine (OPM) and Game Informer.
