Handles like a dream. I live in California and have access to the best canyon roads. The bike is superb. Low end torque shoots you out of the corners and more than keeps up with liter sport bikes in the bendy stuff.
Awesome piece of machinery. My ONLY gripe about these bikes is an aesthetic thing... I wish the rear cowl on the seat wasn't as wide as it is. It looks like they matched the width to be the widest part of the fuel tank, I wish they didn't.. Lol. That's it. Maybe one day I'll be able to justify a purchase of one of these. I def have to try and ride one.
Now I'm going to have to go check that rear end out. PS if you haven't rode one of these you really have to get yourself on one somehow. I pulled out of the shop eased on the fuel and found the front tire reaching for sky. Amazing bike!
Great review - I just bought an RS - picking her up next week. My first ride is 250 miles home. How did you feel about the Metzler RR K3s? Do they need to be broken in? Or am I good to go to hit the highway right away? I usually loath long bike reviews but you did great, nice job!
I love everything about this bike...everything. I envy you! Tires; I ride a lot of new bikes and never push the tires too hard in the beginning. You should be fine on the highway. Where about you located? What other bikes do you ride? Wahoo!
@@forgottenmotorcycles Hah thank you for the warm reply. Like you, I had been ogling the Thruxston for some time. I was on a zoom meeting puttering around cycletrader and found a left over on sale at a dealer two states away. Called them up and low balled them big time thinking they would never take it and knowing I was being impulsive. They accepted and voila! I’m headed to pick it up next week. I’ve been on Harley’s the last twelve years but fell in love with the Thruxston and the Ducati Desert Sled. Located in New England
I like the 1100 Shadow more. I'm getting ready to do the stator on my 1100 shadow after 49k miles. I went with Electrosport and am thinking Electrosport Voltage regulator too.
@@forgottenmotorcycles Don't know what it is about my 1100 shadow why I love it so much I call it the no thrills bike even lol! I got it new because a Motorcycle Mechanic told me it is the best motorcycle of the era he even said the drivetrain is bullet proof lol!
I do worry for you doing figures of eight on sandy roads and grass on near slicks with all that torque...and no gloves! Guess you've never come off gloveless on gravel. Want one of these - the black one!
really love this bike but i think it may be under powered for me ...last bikes i owned were 13 zx14r 15 zx14r 15 zx10r 16 bmw s1000rr 16 ducati hypermotard

Totally agree, this bike is a dream to run. I had the front wheel off the ground in the first 100 feet of the ride. Love these things, I mean that!
This place is very beautiful ! Where is this??
Marne, Iowa
I plan to buy one later this year. Very excited 😊
Good choice!
@Forgotten Motorcycles So ....... do you like it? Lol 😆
LOL...I'd love one!
I felt in love with this same bike the moment I saw it enough to buy it
Amazing motorcycle, for sure!
What's the price for the official integrated tail light and turn signal?
That would be a good question to ask Baxter Cycle. It's a very slick look. Baxtercycle.com Thanks. Wahoo!

definatly Best looking of all motorcycles
Totally agree. One of my favorite looking bikes in these colors. Wahoo!

It's a pretty straightforward job. I'm ordering front seal kits for my 1100 shadow today. 65k and they need changed. Love that bike!

It's a fun 100hp bike. Handled very well and was a bunch of fun. Sounds like you've had some real God Bikes. Wahoo!
I’ve got a 2020 s1000rr and I’ve ridden this. This has more grunt down low, almost rips your arms off!
Feels more like 120-130 hp lots of grunt✊🔥
