Can we just take a moment to appreciate how beautiful her skin and hair is?? The white was an excellent choice too.
Yes!!!
She's gorgeous
Little Missess I was thinking the same! So beautiful!!❤️👑
Aww, thank you soooo much!!!
She is looking amazingly beautiful!
Can you do a grocery shopping video for beginners?
This would be an awesome video. I hope she takes your suggestion.
+
She's got em. Check out the channel and her website.
One thing I would add. Digesting vegan food takes less than 3 hours. And anything animal based over 5. If we are eating animal products during the day our body is always digesting. Once you switch 3 hours passed eating you may feel hungry. This is not really hunger it is our body non knowing how to be not digesting all of the time.
The good thing is that it passes in 3-5 weeks once body adjusts and there is no point in feeling hungry - have some nuts, raisins, banana with you to munch on if you get hungry at first. Body will adjust soon
That’s cool, I didn’t know this. I honestly thought I was doing something wrong because I’m ALWAYS ALWAYS hungry. Good to know...
Yeah, I just can't get past the first week of extreme hunger. I end up eating whatever at night.
What a load of crap.. if you keep eating this way you forget what it is to eat and be satisfied.. vegans are perpetually hungry for a reason. You will likely find out soon enough... i just hope the damage done is reversible
Brilliant comment. This is the reason I’ve always went backwards after starting.
Can u quote any study
As of this year I’m VEGAN!! I have been vegetarian since I was 12 and so my 2020 resolution 4 years later I’ve finally made the switch!!😊☺️🥰
Amazing! Congrats on making the switch. I hope you're feeling great about the decision!
I definitely am!!🥰
Congrats! Just keep at it. There is such a wide variety of foods out there to eat.
Lexi Beltran I think vegetarian first is an easier switch for me .because i ate a lot Of vegetarian dishes growing up and as an adult however .. I can’t give up eggs and cheese yet
Was it easy to phase out since you didn’t have to eliminate to much else from your diet ?
How many 🙋🏾♀️clicked like button as soon as you saw her hair 😍😍😍
Hehe!! Got me feeling good about my hair 😽
I love that natural hair. A natural authentic sista is my greatest desire.
True 😻😻😻😻😻
First of all we need a hair tutorial for this hairstyle 💁🏾♀️
Haha! Glad you like :) I literally just did a twist out, and put a bobby pin on the side 😄 I feel like I need a tutorial 😅
SweetPotatoSoul well it looks especially paired with those earrings 😌
I totally agree, the hair is everything
Yes hair tutorial thank I for this video I’m trying so much I was so bloated but now It’s getting better was twist out on dry hair or wet hair
When I first went vegan, I was dizzy and groggy and fatigued AF for like two weeks. A good friend of mine, a bodybuilder who isn't vegan (but eats healthily though I hope he switched) told me "YOU'RE NOT EATING ENOUGH PROTEIN AND CALORIES!! Since you're not eating meat anymore you have to double the amount of serving sizes you'd normally eat in order to feel full. Find a protein source you like, learn how to make it, then eat it." I was good ever since! Lol
such an important thing!! balanced meals and enough calories is SOOOO important to feeling satiated and satisfied
Definitely. I actually gain weight when I eat healthier because I need to eat more often. But I still look better anyway lol
Omg thank you for this. I went vegan just about three weeks ago and have been feeling fatigue most of the time. I will try to eat more and especially more protein!
I had the same experience. Super fatigued for 2 weeks then stabilized. I also started to loose a lot of hair and weird things would show up on my skin and then just go away. It has been 7 weeks and everything is settling out now. I heard Dr. Joel Fuhrman say you will generally feel sick before you feel better as your body is getting rid of toxins. Sometimes he says it could take up to 6 months depending how toxic your previous eating habits were. Pretty amazing.
@@karennesbitt9655could also be a lack of iron
Been vegan for 6 weeks‼️💪🏾😎
YAY! How wonderful for you! Keep it up...one step at a time.
Yes!!!
Yay 10 days for me! I feel great mind is clear weight and face so happy spirit in order
Me too it's been 6 weeks. My new goal now is to try my best and I eat the vegan processed cheese and vegan processed Meats
@@deseraeward9618 It's 6 days for me and i'm really excited to try out all the recipes I found on youtube!
I’m in the midst of my transition. Some days, I don’t eat completely vegan but I’m incorporating it more and more everyday. Especially as a black woman that grew up with so many wonderful delicious flavors, I used to dislike the idea of being vegan out of fear of a crappy food flavors. So far, it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for myself and I’m so grateful for channels like yours that make this journey so much more enjoyable and simple.
Your hair is looking SO fly! Beautiful lady + amazing energy + wonderful tips for a vegan lifestyle :)
Oh hi! Sweet Potato Soul and you are my main sources for vegan recipes and tips on RUclips. You are both wonderful and your recipes are easy to follow and the ingredients available for most of us. And delicious, of course. Thank you! (This is not my account. Goran eats meat. I, his wife, do not :D )
I started eating vegan last year. My family judged me and it was difficult. Now I’m going to implement vegan dishes again little by little regardless.
Because your determined to be annoying. Why not just be vegan and leave it at that and not make an issue of it than no one will criticize you.
2 years later... chances are you quit.. if so, good for you! This vegan movement has wrecked too many peoples health..
I’m about 95% vegan at this point. My big block is my husband, he has no interest in going vegan, and actively complains if we only eat vegan (vegetarian for him since he’ll load his food with cheese). Drives me crazy, but I’m hoping by the end of the year we’ll all be much more vegan at home
It's a gradual process and over time his taste buds will change and adjust and eventually he won't like dairy cheese as it's quite greasy and heavy compared to non dairy alternatives.
I used to eat frozen pepperoni pizza's and then started making my own pizzas when my daughter became vegan. Then one day I found a frozen one in the freezer and I cooked it and could not eat more than one slice as it tasted so gross I threw it all in the bin and have not eaten one since.
He Is smart
@@r.b.p.4582 Good job commenting on a year old comment
@@delet3999 that's what you are actually doing too
Rant warning, but oh my gosh SAME. My boyfriend is going pescatarian so it's a tiny bit easier but not much. He doesn't eat vegetables (peppers, beans, mushrooms, onion, spinach, etc) and I do not have the time, energy, or money to do double the cooking. And if I don't buy chips and junkfood he claims I'm starving him because I 'only buy things I eat'. As if I don't allocate half of our budget towards his salmon, shrimp, and fried potato products. And yet he doesn't want to cook, so even if I'm just having a protein shake I have to make him something, and he'll still complain about the meal not being fulfilling. But yeah I can't IMAGINE making chicken/beef/cheese products while trying to eat plant based! I'd fail after a day.
Can you teach us about the different names to look for when we are label reading? For example not all the time you see “milk or eggs” it may be “whey or casein” can you do a video on like detailed label reading or how to spot non vegan ingredients on labels pretty please lol
Just out curiosity: how many of you watching this video are already vegan? Answer with the like button or comment below! Cheers
SuperSarification not a vegan.
Im doing veganuary. I was pescitarian for a year, then in November started having oat milk instead of dairy. Day 13 its so easy.
I've been vegetarian since I could make the choice. I eat predominantly vegan but I still have a few things I am slow to slow switch over to vegan versions.
Been vegan/plant based for 3 months! Not regretting it at all
I am trying to learn how to eat a plant based diet.
Omg i was vegetarian for almost 2 years and then started going vegan 4 days ago ... this video is literally so good for me thanks 🥰🥰🥰 love your energy and channel
Your Cinnamon Bun Recipe in your book was FANTASTIC! Currently at 97% plants , thanks for all the great information.
I am glad you mentioned the part about FIBER. I have found myself skipping meals and eating only 2 a day. Salads and nurishbowls are SOOO filing.
I bought the Sweet Potato Soul cookbook a few weeks ago. I highly recommend it! So many recipes have become stables for me!
Where did you get the cookbook? Did I miss it in the link somewhere? I'm from the south too (Florida), but lived in Georgia for nearly 20 years. I NEED that book because I already know it's going to have great recipes!
Thank you so much! I'm so happy you like it 😄 Thank you for recommending!
@@felisham.5830 I ordered it from Amazon. You should get it, i haven't had a single bad recipe from it
Felisha M. You do need it! I purchased the ebook on amazon for the kindle application on my phone! It’s very affordable as well compared to some other cookbooks!
Thanks Ladies! I found it on Amazon and ordered it already! I can't wait to try out those recipes💋
I tried tofu for the first time a couple days ago and it's not bad at all, it's pretty good 😌 and now marinading my tofus for some yum flavors.
Yay! That is good news. I used to really dislike tofu, but now that I know how to prepare it, I LOVE it! Enjoy :)
It's crap even more highly processed than meat itself with no nutritional value.
@@mauricioflores484 I grow my own soy beans in my backyard and make my own. So...unless you hunt allllll of your meat I’d say not.
You really have such a good aura. So positive.
Oh and I went vegan overnight ✌🏾 after seeing animal cruelty.
I went vegan overnight too.. it was easy for me, it's all about discipline..
Same! Best decision
i'm starting today!
@@gremlin2305 good luck! (:
I’m starting today refuse to eat meat again it causes so much issues
I love trying this way of eating but sometimes it's hard and I had a set back, but I got this ! Thanks for sharing
I love how you talk about how to transition while still honoring family traditional foods. This has been so helpful for me. I know how to cook so many things but they are meat based. I appreciate simple ways to start.
Your hair is giving me LIFE!!!! 🙌🏼
I got your cookbook for Christmas along with a food processor, honestly the highlight of my winter break! Been vegan for 3 months and my love for cooking has grown so much

U mean being hue-man for 2yrs.Humans eat plants and neanderthals eat animals period. No such thing as a vegan.

Going vegan was really the best decision I ever made. I have felt like like a brand new person since I eliminated dairy and meat from my diet it’s really amazing to me. The opinions of others definitely get to me sometimes though.

Thank you for the video. Subscribed.
Thank you so much for this, because I’m willing to do this! My health is so important, I’m type2 diabetes and I have high blood pressure! I have to change my life around in 2020!❤️
Your health is so important. You can do it!!
You can do it! My dad switched to a vegan diet at 78 years old, he is no longer pre-diabetic or has high blood pressure, nor high cholesterol. He says he feels good and wish he had switched sooner.
I don’t have high blood pressure but I do have diabetes
I became vegetarian when I was 18 because of some severe health conditions like high cholesterol and blood sugar and my doctor told me I could have a heart attack! Within 1 month of making some changes, my levels went down to normal. Over the years, I have found that the only way for me to stay healthy and keep my levels down is with a vegan diet. So I think it's great that you are switching to a vegan diet for your health!
@@markfrazier7442 I know from experience that a vegan diet is the best thing a person can do to get cholesterol levels down. I am so happy that your dad is doing better now!
I need to find that book! I'm from Georgia too and loved Granny's food.

I just started eating vegan for my health and have been binging your videos! They have been so helpful!!! Thank you!
Just ordered your cook book
You are a beautiful ambassador for the vegan lifestyle.
Great tips!
Thank you sweetie potatoes. I love this show, very helpful in my journey!
I’ve been vegan for a week and it’s been pretty good. I already love food but it’s making me love it even more because I’m cooking a lot more for myself and looking up recipes. The hardest part for me is that at the end up the day I get really bad cravings like I really want Chick-Fil-A right now or I’ll end up eating a whole pack of Oreos or something.
Finally, my whole foods in New Mexico had your black eye pea fritter!. #praisejesus I have been black eye peas obsessed. Thank you!
I love that idea that this is a lifestyle of abundance.
