I have similar problem on that harnes on my 87 bronco. I think I have ground problem because nothing works and vefore was motor is good. But noting work from switch or ke cilinder on that gate
Wooow! Just amazed that's why I think my window hesitates when it goes up or down because it is not getting good contact on those things on the side I saved this video. 🙏😊
Could be that you have a bad ground connection or broken wiring somewhere. Or if you have the swap the wires and use the key switch in the same direction then you have a bad switch.
Very informative video helped me immensely to solve my problem with my tailgate on my 1979 Bronco. Thank you for taking the time to post this.
I’m glad you got yours fixed!

Great video! Been waiting on someone to dive all the way into the tailgate window. Can’t wait to try to fix mine again.
Hopefully you get yours going

I’m glad it could help you determine your issue.
What about my tailgate works but I have to switch the cables all the time to open and close I have. 1990 bronco help?

If you are referring to switching the wires directly to the motor then you likely have a bad ground or a bad interlock switch.
