Thanks for making this video - you helped us figure out what wires are for. My 16 year old son has a 1993 Bronco. His rear window doesn’t work right now.
Can you tell me which color is supposed to be the constant power? I've got a 95 the window works from the dash but when I tear into it and try to figure out why the key is not working, none of the wires have constant power so I need to know which one it is so I can trace it up to the firewall and check it there.
Thanks for this video. I have 12 volts at the motor connector so i have been assuming that the motor was bad. I will check the limit switch and see if that works.
It's not a limit switch, it is a latch switch to make sure the tailgate is closed. You can bypass as shown but window may break itself if tailgate is not latched.
I think we have the same problem I think my problem is the cable that goes from under the hitch to the mortar isn't giving power to the mortar to move it up or down my problem now is finding what's wrong and I'm try to pull the key relay out so I can look at the cables but I have no idea how to pull out the key thing like this guy did
With my window they key works up and down but for the button by the defrost (left of steering wheel) it works when you roll the window down but blows a fuse when you go to roll it back up. so maybe a bad connection up behind where you press the button?
I can make my window roll up with the key switch and the front panel switch, but neither switch can make it go down. when i switch the polarity it does roll down. that lets me know the motor is good. got another tail gate switch and no luck. help please

So if your motor is good and it works once you bridge your limiter how you do you fix the problem so you don’t have to bridge your limiter?

Another thing to do if the window won't work, or is very slow - Lube the regulator assy and side seals with some liquid wrench or 3/1 oil.
Thank you
