    Pretty cool, the only video I've seen that actually shows the damn thing snapping shut. I heard a bunch of people reference in their videos but never actually seen it. Well done

    Ok, you save my hind end, I helped my buddy Robert take his 1978 apart years and years ago, and I'm a Dentside guy but I don't get to the Bronco alot. So the breakdown on the wire gave me a real refresher since his passing and my taking over the project to get it done, thank you!

    This video was very helpful for me. I replaced my motor in my 78 tailgate about 11 years ago. Now it’s back to not working, so this was nice to have a recap on it. Thank you!

    Have an 82, did not know whole works came out! Im selling it, just gotta get motor loose and get window down to get a 302 shortblock out. Great video by the way.

    Just a quick fyi. When removing any motor from a window assembly, use some sort of c clamps to hold the arms in place. This will avoid the snapping and realignment issues afterwards.

    I have a 85 I can't get my window down to even start working on it where do I begin

    • @broncobabeadventures4316
      @broncobabeadventures4316  3 года назад

      I’m not familiar with 85’s but if it’s like mine you’ll want to take the back panel out, disconnect the motors, take the glass out and then you can take out the gear and motor to fix whatever’s not right. Or start and make sure you have power to the motor to begin with- that might be the issue right there. Good luck!

    Do you remember the part number for the motor? I just got one for my 78 bronco but I think it is the wrong one. Also, what is the size of the screws? And finally, where did you get the window limit switch ( the white safe fail button)? I’m rebuilding the whole system and I’m trying to find all the parts. I appreciate your help. Thanks!

    • @broncobabeadventures4316
      @broncobabeadventures4316  3 года назад

      Sorry I don’t remember the part number, I called O’Reillys and got it from them. Although as you saw I got the wrong one first. The safety switch was already intact so I didn’t have to source that and I just found screws that were the right length to fit. Good luck and let me know if you have any more questions as you go!

    Do all models have the finger trap? I've swapped then twice now on 2 different brick noses and never had that. They gave me the wrong motor with both replacements as well.

    Anyone out here with a gen-5 that can tell me .
    I'm trying to find which wire color from the tailgate to the front of the truck is supposed to be the constant?
    On a Gen 5 1995.
    Window works from the dash but not from the key and there should be one of them that is a constant.

    • @broncobabeadventures4316
      @broncobabeadventures4316  3 года назад

      It’s not ideal but you can you the test light and poke into the wires and see which has power when key off. Also check out some of the Bronco Fb groups, there’s lots of helpful people in those groups. Good luck!

    The self fix work is best way to learn how it works, why pay some idiot that pretend to know how take your money probably not work still when you get it back, that tailgate from own experience is over complicated. my motor is weak as our Gov. It will work with pig tail to 18v drill battery, but not of the car battery, think my motor is failing, time to find my spare or get new one. Great FIX, still have all fingers...
