Lol that little narration was absolutely awesome lol..almost so true to everybody who has tried and failed to get a bike up n running from the dead lol . Your videos are short and sweet and always to the point guess that's why I like them and you have a great sense of humour .looking forwards to seeing the bike finished and in paint . Respect brother .
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! 📖 It makes me really happy to hear that you like the style of my videos, and my humour, haha. Comments like this really helps boosting my morale. Thank you again and take care! ✌️🤘
Looking good. Few things with the carb I would do if you haven't. single thin washer on the needle (replace the white plastic piece) drill out the hole in the slide 1 size bigger. I ran a 155 main jet and 55 pilot. This was with a open filter and full customer pipe with a cheap baffle. it was a lot quicker on the get up and go and that was even with changing to chain and making it so it cruised at much lower RPM.
Thank you! I haven't touch the carb yet, so your tips are really valuable. Will especially have to look into the washer and the drilling. Great to hear that it actually made the bike quicker as well! 🤘
@@HeavyMetalParkingSpot Your videos are making me want to get a savage again. Have a deal with my wife 2 bikes at a time (3 if 1 is a dirt bike) currently have 3 (was up to 6 but sold few the past couple of weeks so need to get rid of a few more)
I'm happy that I can inspire! The Savage is just a small cruiser, could be counted as 1/2 a bike, right? 😂 I think they are really fun bikes in their rawness and simplicity.
Thank you for the tip! Do you have any experience with this particular engine? I’ve read that many people get surprised by how noisy it is, and so am I. But I have never heard any of these run before, so I have no clue of what to expect.
Und wenn sie nicht gestorben sind, dann leben sie noch heute. Such a creative video! And...nice you got the bike running. Always a great feeling to fire it up for the first time 🤘
The pipe I used has a OD of 45 mm, so the baffle was 41.2 mm OD and 20.4 mm (8") long. When I made this video I had not done any work on the carb. Since then I have another exhaust and I still haven't re-jetted. But I think it will be needed.

Haha, now that you mention it, it actually is kind of funny. In my defense they are bluetooth ear muffs, so I’m listening to music while tinkering. But I hear you, I will try to be more heavy metal next time! 🤘
Hey! I just read your channel description and this line caught my eye: "Again be respectful to one another in the comments and let's just help each other but have fun while doing it." Why not practice what you preach? Have a nice day! ✌️

I had a look at your channel and your BMW is looking great and so does your videos! 🤘
What size was the baffle you inserted? Did you have to re-jet?

Sounds like it could use a good muffler.
Yeah, those short pipes can be a bit obnoxious.
