    It turned out like a really cool new school chopper, not something totally impractical, but cool looking and with a lot of character.

      Thank you my friend! We will see what’s next on the project list, but first I have a few more things I would like to do to this one.
      And I can’t wait to ride it! 🤘

    Well ... its definitely a bright colour lol... the overall look is good personally I'd have slightly shorter bars as I'm used to riding hands in front and have shoulder issues so arms up high for too long begins to hurt . The sissy bar blends in well with the seat unit. Its not a large amount of modifications but its just about right before it gets into the serious realms of lot of money being spent . You have done well can't wait for the start up and possibly a road test 😊

    • @HeavyMetalParkingSpot
      @HeavyMetalParkingSpot  Год назад +2

      Thank you very much! 🤘
      I might have gone too extreme with the bars, we will see how long I can stand them. 😅
      I don’t think I’ll ever spend any serious money on this one, but we will see.
      A road test is coming up! ✌️

    My goodness,I have savage on chain drive and it’s 400cc ,1996 y.o.,and it’s little oil leak at cylinder after 4 years driving,only summer ,I already have cylinder gasket and once I disassembled by myself this motor ,watch your video and it’s make me cry ,because I want to ride ,but it’s make me pissed off about oil leaking ,need to take fists strong and do change the gasket ! It’s a pleasure to watch your work thank you

      Yeah, oil leak at the cylinder seems to be common on these engines. Hope you can get it fix and get back to riding! Thanks for your comment!

      Building the prettiest bike was never a realistic goal, the goal was to just build a bike.

    Luv the AIR filter and the hose vent filter.. always hated the air box on mine! also need video on paint= mine washed off ..first gas spill when i filled it :>(... dam rustolium!

    • @HeavyMetalParkingSpot
      @HeavyMetalParkingSpot  Год назад

      Thanks! I think the stock air box is a bit too bulky. These gives a cleaner look.
      In my experience, a 2K paint is the way to go to avoid it getting stripped by gas.

    • @HeavyMetalParkingSpot
      @HeavyMetalParkingSpot  Год назад +1

      But I have tons of extra bolts! 😅 Just kidding. I didn’t want to lock anything in before knowing everything would go back together. I did have to take the rear wheel off like three times after all. 🫣 I have the factory list of all the places that needs further locking, so I will go over them all again.

      Thank you very much!
      Awesome! What are you doing to it?
      Haven't done any work on the carb yet, but will have to rejet it, it runs, but not as great as it could.

    • @MrOfux
      @MrOfux Год назад +2

      @@HeavyMetalParkingSpot Yeah, might be too much air in the mixtrue now, I might also rejet mine, or maybe reduce the air intake. Iam just going for a bobber-ish look, single seat (would be cool to make my own like you), short back fender etcetc. Right now i am just deep cleaning everything.

    • @MrOfux
      @MrOfux Год назад +2

      And.... learning how to weld, got the exhaust bolt broken off in the cylinder haha..

    • @HeavyMetalParkingSpot
      @HeavyMetalParkingSpot  Год назад +2

      Yeah, not sure it needs as much air as it gets now, but those small filters gives a clean look.
      I think you should try making a seat, not too hard but very rewarding.
      Ah, shit, that broken exhaust bolt is what you fear the most when you pull apart an old motorcycle. I hope you get it sorted!

    • @daemonside
      @daemonside Год назад +1

      Be careful the inside if the filter doesn5t cover the little air holes on the intake! Did that on mine, put a pipe inbetween to remedy it. LOve the build good luck with it.@@HeavyMetalParkingSpot

    Thanks for the ride and for so much inspiration to do things yourself!

    I would be interested in how the motor goes with the "open airways"....
    ➡️ paralyzed like a yellow submarine in the silt,
    ➡️ razor-sharp & smooth like Urma Thurman in Tarantinos "Kill Bill"
    and what kind of filter is that you have attached to the starter motor? Crankcase ventiation?

      I have more projects planed so I hope I can continue to inspire you.
      I still have to work on the carb, it's getting too much air right now. 💨 But I will fix that!
      The filter is, as you said, for the crankcase ventilation.
      Funny that you mentioned "Get Hands Dirty", I have followed her for a long time and am always amazed by the quality of work she manages to produce. A really skilled maker!
