Meanwhile this game at the Trop was surprisingly crowded. There were 20,906 fans which might not sound like a lot, but that's twice as many as I'm used to seeing there AND the upper deck was closed so all of those fans were crammed down below. The Tampa Bay Rays are the best team in baseball, and the Baltimore Orioles are also crushing it this season, so this was a stellar matchup!
On a personal level, an extra fun challenge was trying to snag a gamer. The Rays are using 25th anniversary commemorative baseballs this season and I reeeeeally wanted one. How did that turn out? How close to the action did I get? What did I eat? What's the deal with all the weird stuff that took place?
