TOTAL INSANITY after I caught a POSTSEASON HOME RUN at Game 2 of the ALDS at Camden Yards!

- Could this have been ANY crazier?! This entire day was WILD . . . from the action during batting practice to the pre-game intensity of the crowd to Mitch Garver's grand slam to Corey Seager becoming the first player in MLB history to walk five times in one postseason game . . . and of course I caught a home run on top of all of that.
With nobody out in the bottom of the 5th inning, Gunnar Henderson connected on a 3-2 pitch from Jordan Montgomery and sent his 1st career postseason home run flying in my direction. For some strange reason, none of the fans on the Flag Court even moved for the ball (until the very last second when a few people reached up), so my challenge was to weave in and out of everyone and carefully get to the spot where the ball was going to land, and then BOOM! I caught it!!
I already posted the home run clip on social media, and of course the false accusations have been flying -- everything from "this is fake" to "this guy knocks down kids" to people claiming that Gunnar wanted the ball and that I refused to give it to stadium security and left with it. LOLWUT? As you can see for yourself, none of that happened. I stuck around for the entire game, security never approached me, and it was an overwhelmingly joyous moment.
Unfortunately, though, the Baltimore Orioles lost the game and eventually this series to the Texas Rangers, so who knows if/when I'll be at another game this season?

Late to the party - but are you kidding? Three other hands were up right there as well. Maybe not with a glove on. And all were in the vicinity. 2 of the dudes were pretty well positioned until Zack game from 20 feet or so over and wormed his way between them to get a glove up. The difference is people enjoying the game and if something comes their way, maybe they have a shot at it versus someone who loves catching baseballs above all else - general courtesy isn't considered. Nobody else came from that far away to try to jump in front of others to catch the ball.

O’S MY GOD!!! All Hail King Hample! This was insane and I’m so happy for you. You deserve it all and I love you so much. Gave me October 11, 2021 vibes although nothing beats Fenway… but yeah, amazing!!! Can’t believe the two year anniversary of that night was just a few days ago and now you catch another last weekend. I remember that night like it was yesterday. One of the best nights of my life.

Well, to be fair, when I visited in the 1990s, that WAS the name. But I hear ya.
I still have my SkyDome Hard Rock T-shirt that I got there in '96. Rogers Centre is just a terrible name as opposed to SkyDome.

Camden Yards really is a special place, love it!
That place needs more tables and table tops in general. I went up to the 300 section to eat on the 2nd last day of the season because it was so packed.
So disappointed O’s didn’t make it I was ready to call out of work to go to World Series😂 there’s always next year congrats on catching that ball!
