- This was a HUGE collab at Fenway Park with DSARM and Bat Boys Baseball, and I got extremely lucky! With one out in the bottom of the 7th inning, Rafael Devers launched a 95mph fastball 413 feet to right field where it ended up in my glove. Not only was this the Sunday Night Baseball game of the week on ESPN (Boston Red Sox vs. New York Mets), but Devers, in my opinion, is a future Hall of Famer, so it was a crazy moment in every possible way.
Oh, and the home run was one of NINE baseballs that I snagged over the course of the day (including batting practice), which means more money for my charity fundraiser to help kids play ball. Check it out:

This series of vids from all 3 sets of channels was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. From the very start with friendly competition in BP, to during the game and hanging out by Richard, to the story of the night with the homer, I can tell you and everyone else who attended had an experience to remember forever. I felt the aftermath that night of you catching the home run and the day following. It wasn’t quite the same as that playoff game since I wasn’t actually there this time, but I really did feel it.
That's cool, and I appreciate that. This Devers homer has really stuck inside my brain for a while. I keep reliving it and imagining it, like my own POV instant replay.

After seeing the RUclips video, I felt bad... You made a clean play that was perfectly fair and didn't touch anyone in the process. So we went to the Giants game for my son’s 10th birthday. We usually are only interested in waiting in the line to get autographs from the fans. Yesterday, however, we went over to the field so we could catch some balls underneath the Coke bottle and big gloves. We had no luck because all the teenagers were taking the ball. Then I heard my son and his friend say I wish Zack Hample was here because then we would have a chance to get the ball if he gives them to the kids. People notice your kind heart and appreciate you Zack.

Hey Zack, What was that night like after you caught the Rafael Devers 24th Homerun? and What was roaring inside of your head catching that baseball?
It was WILD. Mainly, I was like, daaaaaamn, that was too easy and lucky given how many people were surrounding me.
I was watching this game live on tv and holy crap that’s Zack hample with a live home run catch.
At 25:47 you can read Zack's disclaimer (It's only about 40 frames, so pause quickly) about the douchebags from X (Twitter) that accused him of "knocking someone over" to get that Devers homerun. I watched the slow motion and to actually think someone or some people are throwing this out there makes me hope they continue the rest of their lives in a bitter state. Zack won't say it because he is staying positive and avoiding the d-bags, but I said it for him!
First love the videos Zack and are you going to any dodger games soon. Great content

This is a good example of why Zack catches so many balls. In the time that DSARM or his buddy said, "Oh, here we go," Zack was already out of his seat and 10 feet into his route to the baseball. He gets a better jump on the ball than any fan ever. Actually, most fans get no jump on the ball. They just watch it. Zack reads it (very well) like an outfielder and has a quick first step to the ball. Congrats, Z!

If you weren't, if you did steal baseballs from kids or other people, I don't think you'd have anywhere near the platform you do now. I've caught 40 GAME balls at Fenway including during the 1975 World Series! My dad had weekend season tickets and we sat front row 3rd base. There's a ball girl there now and a screen.
