Excellent information as always. I;ve watched hundreds of videos on fodder production but I like some of your ideas better. It;s why I still watch videos. I love Africa. African farmers are far more inventive than American farmers. Another series I love is Protein Master. He raises Black Soldier flies but does an amazing job as well. His high tech solution to keeping them humid? It;s a concrete floor so he dumps a 5 gallon bucket of water on the floor every day as needed. It's quick, free and efficient and it can;t break down.
This is so right on time for me.I love it.Thanks for this video, very informative.Priceless.Am happy to see that in Kenya my country,we are embracing new technology.Keep it coming.
Good Day, Its Masekelele from South Africa. Thanks for the information, really appreciated. What are the minimum and maximum requirements of 1, Temperature 2, Light intensity 3, Humidity for all seaasons, especially in winter.
Hello, I when lived 150 miles from Death Valley, California and because of the high summer temperatures I raised corn, sunflower seeds, bean sprouts in a limited amount. I was interested in working with a few of the rarer grass seeds from Africa.i did some limited research with alfalfa and used it as a green chop to mix in to the feed mix.in the fall and winter we raised oats, barely, tricali, winter wheat, wheat, rye we used what was affordable and available locally. We also used the left over fodder and bean seed husks of fava beans to mix in to the feed mix we raised favs beans in the ground as a crop and a cover crop in the winter, we lived to eat black eye bean sprouts and when we had left over black eye pea/bean sprouts we mixed then in to the livestock feed mix the livestock would go crazy for the black eye pea sprouts. Black eye peas love the heat and high temperatures. The nice thing for us we where happy feeding the corn because for us it was a fast grower and loved the high temperatures we did grow the corn in morning natural sunlight to early afternoon and we did feed it when it was two to four feet tall. We where feed green fodder to cattle, goats, sheep, and poultry. The goats seemed to like the green folder best. I had home made containers to grow my fodder in and at the time I wanted to produce a few ton a day. It was very labor intensive. At the time I was thinking about getting a cheap cement mixer brand new for $ 100. Or lesse to soak my seeds in and to be able to drain water and to pour seeds in to the seed beds. Regards Hope
According to our experience with Wheat, it is normally ready for harvesting after 10days. One kg of wheat seedswill give you 5.0-6.0kgs of the wheat fodder
Very good video and explanation. Just wanted to know why would you choose a four days old tray for poultry why not the seven days which has more food and biomass ? Thanks and good luck to you
Thank you. It is because the FIBER CONTENT in the 7days old fodder is too much for the poultry to digest. The poultry experience indigestion/constipation and this greatly affects production and/or growth
Hello Mr. Samuel am actually very grateful for the explanation you have shown to us, sir I also have a question, how do you do away with some seeds which develop fungus or molds as the develop sprouts?
Good day. You are explaining very well. Well done. What will happen to fodder when they go dry? Will they still have a nutritional value? What is the best temperature for fodder to grow in?
Thank you for the compliments. You can learn more from our tutorials: ruclips.net/video/upSYXVyqRuo/видео.html Best temperature is 20-27 degrees celsius
please tell me what temperature require of room? can we grow this in 5 degrees centigrade to 10 degrees of winter and in hot season of 48 degrees in summer?
To prevent moulding of seeds keep the temperature at 25 degrees Celsius. The lower the temperatures, the slower the germination will be because warmth greatly contributes to germination. Between 20-25 degrees Celsius is ok.

Hello my friend very nice presentation and it definitely makes perfect sense. My question that I have is when you put the trays back up on the Shelf what angle degree do you use for the slope? Is it like a 10% grade? What would be sufficient in this application that you're using on the video.? Also I noticed that when you walk through the door it looks like you have a net that completes the structure that goes over the entire structure to keep the bugs out.? Very nice and simplistic way to do fodder for animals. Can the animals be completely sustained on fodder alone? Or do you need to supplement their diet with something else as well? We plan on raising the same animals that you have there like rabbits, chickens, ducks, goats, and even some cattle, and some turkey. Very much appreciate the information my friend God bless you!

i think this is a good video for new learner about hydroponic fodder system. it is a simplest system, please just mentioned that 1 kg/2 kg quantity barly is enough for a goat for the whole day without any other fodder
It is not possible to just feed goats or any other livestock with hydroponic fodder only. This is just a protein supplement and it lacks any energy as the seed spends all the energy sprouting. You need an energy giving food along with this fodder plus minerals and vitamins
