      The only issue is when you do not observe the feeding ratios of Hydroponics Fodder. If livestock are fed a lot of Hydroponics Fodder than is necessary, bloating and indigestion can occur due to high moisture content. I've watched this video more than 20 times . Every time I learn something new.
    My question is that I want to make concentrate feed for livestock and I don't have soyabean
    If I mix sorghum 12 %, maize 6% and beryl 25% in total which is 43% CP
    Can have the same results for soyabean?

    Kindly clarify the CP content of each seeds, is it the original seeds content or after certain days of hydroponic growing?
    For example, maize from original 5-6% CP content will increase to 13-15% at 7th days and 19-20% at 14th days
    While interestingly for Soya with highest CP content on seeds, 1 local journal said the protein seems lost after the growth.

    • @GrAnDeUrAfRiCa_Hydroponics
      @GrAnDeUrAfRiCa_Hydroponics  17 дней назад

      It is the protein concentration after growing however as mentioned in the video, the crude protein levels may vary depending on seed variety and method of testing

      For soya, we do not recommend hydroponic fodder since the protein is above recommended daily amount.
      The soya can however be used to fortify other feeds to raise their protein content.
      However, should you wish to germinate the soya, procedure is the same as for barley/wheat except that you soak soya for 12hours instead of 4 hours.

    Greetings from Azerbaijan. Thanks for the wonderful explanation. Let's say I want to combine 2 sprouts of cereal in which I know the protein content in the seeds, and not in the sprouts. How much difference will there be between protein retention in seeds and sprouts?

    • @GrAnDeUrAfRiCa_Hydroponics
      @GrAnDeUrAfRiCa_Hydroponics  3 года назад

      Greetings from Kenya!!! You will need to sprout the seeds and take the samples of each cereal/seed type to the lab and get them tested for Crude Protein. Scientific experiments yield credible data

      Do you know the Energy valeu in the fvh? As well as a dry wait , it will help me calculate the ratio needed to complete the nutrition requirement in a balanced diet... I will run this numbers as soon as I start producing, but it will help me to know to plan acording to the scale in my operation. Thankx again

    Please sir , sorry for asking question outside your topic. I am planning to use fresh granded Napier grass to feed my pig as supplement (afternoon meal) to enhance their growth without reducing the % of the protein contents in the morning & evening meal. Is it a good idea or should I mixed any other thing ? Thanks in advance.

    • @GrAnDeUrAfRiCa_Hydroponics
      @GrAnDeUrAfRiCa_Hydroponics  4 года назад

      We have never used napier grass on pigs before. We are unable to guide you on that at this moment. Stick to the basics and calculate protein requirement by pigs per day. If napier is meeting some part of that gap, then it is good.

    • @GrAnDeUrAfRiCa_Hydroponics
      @GrAnDeUrAfRiCa_Hydroponics  4 года назад

      Yes they can BUT THE GROWTH WILL BE UNEVEN DUE TO DIFFERING HEIGHTS, WEIGHTS and SPEED OF GERMINATION for different seeds.

      What's your advice, should it be grown separately? And when it's time to feed them, both should be fed together?
