Hello BENZMAN ! Big fan of your channel and passion for our CLS .. I actually designed a replacement sound system for the CLS and solved the sub problem. I’m a dentist but have been involved in acoustic engineering for over 20 years. This will be for any budget. I’m kinda going on the higher end with Focal Flax in the doors and higher end amp/DSP but the sound is way more like a high end home system. The lows aren’t just for shaking the car but hard hitting clear clean bass . Hit you up when everything is calibrated and you can post if you want. Happy thanksgiving to you and your fam !

When I got mine I had to repair the LF window ( LF door module $125 eBay) , the R LED tail light ( I know how to repair them so I saved $600), and the ABC pump was making a lot of noise. ( $305 for a damper ) . And then 2 weeks after I bought it the piston seal on the K-1 clutch pack in the tranny blew a chunk off so with a little help from my old job my buddy helped me get the unit out and resealed the whole trans along with the 3 bonded pistons, clutch discs looked new still so I got away with only $300 in parts. But it helps when you have spent over 40 years working on MB. Im retired now due to a blown out disc in my back. I miss working but in the shape I'm in I wouldn't make it through the first week at a job so its polish the fenders and watch TV and take pills for the pain. Lately its doing good and its a good thing I got a couple of friends that can give me some help when I need it. All i all its worth it in the end. My car looks new and if I told someone it was a 2012 they would believe it too. Gotta love the CL its a rare gem that not too many people own. And you get a lot of looks from people like your rich or something. Mercedes are great but you have to get a good one owner car that the owner took care of it or you will spend a fortune repairing what some cheap ass jerk failed to do. I got mine with 92 K and Im the second owner. Soon Ill make a video of mine just busy right now with the sound system speaker upgrade. Peace to you all.
damn I wish I knew how to work on these cars, I dont think the reliability is all that bad that people that don't own one tend to think, I have a E320 also with over 100 thousand miles and only thing went bad was the the fuel pump which cost me a little over a thousand dollars, oh and engine mounts and ball joints, other than that its been solid.

This kind of car is much to complicated to check one alone and without any equipment.
Good stuff! Replace that three-blade grill with an SLS style grill, one blade. You can get them for $100 and it really updates the look of the car. Easy do it yourself, six screws and bam you're done.

3D Tha Rapstar true true They so comfortable when u drive as u know. Only reason I know because a lot of cars like your benz comes through the warehouse and luckily I get to drive them into the warehouse. But when it's my time. I'm goin to do more research

Great Videos. Yes, for the most part go OEM unless you're going with Renntech or Weistec for power upgrades. For those who use the heat in cold places go ahead and get the duo valve because they fail. Its like $40 on ebay and 30 minute DIY install. I tell everybody that is going for Mercedes to go AMG. Just my opinion.

So true about people not able to afford these services, then sell these vehicles on the used car market with problems. These are wonderful vehicles to own and drive just make sure you have a Carfax report. If the dealership can not produce one Don't buy the vehicle or check the vin number to see if the vehicle has been in any accidents. What cost a small fortune for these in particular are the ABC suspension is hydraulic if these start to leak fluid you are going to have a major problem. Having replacement parts on stand by will help a owner of one of these grand machines be less hectic when it comes to cost and repairs.
yeah that's why I try to do my history before I buy one. I hope my abc system don't never mess up lol, it can be a headache
Always get a dealer warranty or even and after market warranty on foreign cars let alone any car saves you money I’m telling you from experience

You're honest about not knowing (like a lot of owners) how to work on these complicated, over-engineered cars. Half the problem is correctly diagnosing where the problem is without expensive diagnostic scanners only dealers can afford.
I got a 07 cl550 & my passenger window will not shut without me keep on tapping on it & the passenger seal was not shutting properly, I fixed everything now but there was alot of minor things needed to be fixed otherwise its a good car great buy..

satin grey... But im not sure :( I got the 600 with the AMG bumper front & back including a complete 63 AMG exhaust system. Designo Basalt Grey leather with black shining wood. Its black with black 20 inch OEM AMG wheels.
When i bought my car it leaked cooling fluid, the rear soundsystem in the back was broken, i had to replace all spark plug (24) 800$ and had to replace an Ignition Coil 1200€, but i got a huge discount on my car so it was fine :)
Yeah I think my rear sound is out too, I got it like that but thought it was normal lol. I want to get a wrap too maybe same color as you thinking, im scared to get a wrap and don't like the color or the way it looks with the color. So eventually I wanna do sound system, a wrap and exhaust,I wish I had the suede liner, does yours have that?

3D Tha Rapstar It's not huge diffrent from yours tho, about to repair the speaker in the back in a week. Its gonna be crazy because from day 1 it was broken. So happy. I think i will wrap my car in Satin Grey. Awesome color!

How do u permanently leave on the parking sensors, i always have to press the sensor button and it beeps with 2 red dots on the dash
I am not sure on mines it always come up automatically when it think I'm parking or going really slow or at a stop light

Beautiful cars. But the only real way I'd buy it is through CarMax with a few years of warranty. It's costs more out the door but just a few small repairs and it pays for itself

2008 is a n/a v8 and the 13 is a buturbo, also the 13 has the facelift with different front and rear fascia and other cosmetics differences

I got mines from larry tires, ask for azad rims but tell them you want the mercedes center real caps, or try any major rim shop they can order them for you too

your car is a ABC (hydraulic) suspension or is air matic? ive heard that 07 and up models are airmatic i have a v12 2002 with the ABC system and its verry complex, im looking to buy an 08 600 or 550 but i want to know if the w216 is airmatic
+Stephanie Dominguez yeah I have abc system. The 09 4matic is airmatic. Not sure about the cl600. But the 550 that is rear wheel drive is abc. I have a 2008
and how is the reliability of the system? in my 2002 CL600 is not awesome but not bad, just verry expensive, ill really like to avoid it
+Stephanie Dominguez mine have been really good. I have to replace the control arms because of squeaking but that's it. I hear tho that they can cost upwards of like 2k or more. But I do hear they can be a problem if they do go out
Good Afternoon, Stephanie; My name is Ryu and i can tell you from experience this is a AirMatic Suspension. I'm looking at a 2009 CL 550 4Matic Coupe in Silver with a Grey interior and Black on Black interior and both are 2009 with a AirMatic Suspension. The Suspension alone is more than $5000 alone, I'm referring to the brand that starts with a S from Germany. Regardless the price, I'm purchasing the car; I'm waiting on some money I'm supposed to receive which i will use as a down payment for the car. Those are my two cents and i hope it helps, Stephanie.
Dont listen to these dum dums...c216 gen cl's have airmatic in only the 4matic models and rwd cl's have conventional suspension
Just get a car fax...bro..take down the VIN and get it urself I pay 50 bucks for 5 searches...if the car was not serviced properly pass....I know it's hard.... I passed up on a few joints I wanted...I don't trust dealer's Carfax...
Everysince Mercedes Got with chrylser back in 98; they have been cutting corners. They started using other supplier companies for their mechanical parts (other then Bosh).

Yes.. and just stay away from that cla, and c class cuz they even got cheaper parts on them models. Parts prematurely going bad right at 120,000 miles that's suppose to last over 200,000 such as alternator, air blower(just to name of few)
O yeah I heard that those starter classes are horrible on build and quality

I think you can but the offset might look a little different due to the wide rear, it might looked sucked in a little bit if the pattern is right it would fit but the look might be slightly different

what's up bro I own many Mercedes-Benz is my best luxury car ever but they have issues cl55 CL550 are great cars but you have no idea what the maintenance is on cl600 S600 they have the most smoothies running engines I have owned a S600 Engine holds 9 quarts of oil terrible on gas but very powerful fast as hell but if something ever go wrong with the engine like a misfire get ready to spend a lot of money 1 core pack will cost you $1,200 initial control module six hundred bucks the hydraulic suspension ABC titanium pumps will cost you $2,000 at the dealership hydraulic shocks cost $1,600 a piece so bro if you think CL550 expensive you not ready for no s600 s65amg or cl stay away unless you have a lot of money but I like you videos. Keep up the great work
half the people missed what I was talking about with the videos, I have the money to fix it, can buy a 65 if I wanted to. But the repairs are stupid with such low miles not that it's expensive to me, i had a e320 which I fixed the gas pump which was 1100, and other similar problems, it's not the money its the pain to go to the shop for every little repair, I had this car over 2 years and I keep it running great, thanks for the comment

It definitely is, but the thing that’s scary is watch out for the abc suspension, they can fail at any moment, especially on the older ones, try asking did they ever do any suspension work and have the service history

no, just had to replace the lower control arms

Well mine was just a hose and it was about 1,200 but if it's the actual system failing I think its like 2000 and up depending on what else broke

How the wind noise when cruising on high speed?
U can't even hear wind noise it's real isolated and quiet, unless the windows are slightly open

He put more money down tho but I want to get my payments to 400 ish. Right now its upper 600. This was my first real car that cost over 40 grands so the banks didn't really trust me so I had a high Apr but I can get a lower one now
Eventually you will get the payments lower, because as long as you make the payments on time; You can lower the payments and afford the car. So congratz brotha, on the S550. God Bless, man.

Bought one off Ebay for 600 and got it installed for 200 at an aftermarket Mercedes only repair shop. From the dealer the Amp is around 2000.

500 are the older ones and the european market ones but I would go with the 550 because the newer ones are better in terms of reliability from what I hear with people with the 500

You buy one of these cars, its supposed to have two keys. I only got one key with mine. You can only buy the key from the dealer, it takes three weeks, and its -wait! - $450. For one key. Yeah, seriously.

Like the little annoying things that fail unexpectedly? Over engineering just for expensive maintenance repair doesn't gaurantee loyalty but ticked off customers!!!

I just know a lot of people with used Mercedes/BMW that act like they got it new and bully non-luxury car people, then they turn around and ask people for a personal loan.
