I tested a 2012 pearl white with the designo and executive package and it was the best interior I've tested to date. It had a wine color leather, piano black wood, and anthracite grey alcantara headliner. 😍
@RJBbass2000 Hey i thought the CL63 Had a top speed of 186 and the CL65 155 MPH (Electronically limited) to be correct in Theory the CL65 has a top speed of 200MPH.
@RJBbass2000 Your still missing the point: The cars are in two totally different leagues....it's like comparing an LS460L to an CTS-V...similar in price, but totally different in purpose. People who buy the CL obviously want comfort, so to them comfort is everything...wtf are you talking about?
@RJBbass2000 A) The MTM S5 is not as comfortable, spacious aor as prestigious as the CL, which is what buyers of these cars want, B) $90k is still not a bargain and when you can afford a car for that much, opting for a $120k car is not that much of a stretch
Yet the M113k motor in the previous generation is more durable.. And even though the 5 speed transmission is a little slow, the pros outway the cons.. They're both awesome vehicles..💪🏾
@igotwhips That's a good thing if you're in the market for a good well maintained used one. The person who bought it brand new though definitely will have taken a hit though since they probably paid near $100k for it brand new. I know that's a deal I'd jump all over lol.
Actually 492 isn’t far off, MB underrated the M278 heavily for marketing purposes and so AMG customers stayed AMG customers. I just parked my E55 Kompressor for an E550 4matic Biturbo. Both are rockets and the latter sips gas
Are you kidding me?!! I'm pretty sure you messed up the models "dude"... CL550 is the base model equal to the CL500 in Europe and usually slightly detuned because US regulations. And the 4.7 V8 M278 engine is 435 bhp in Europe if I'm not wrong you get it as 429 bhp in US - but there is no such think as 492 bhp! You also missed up the acceleration 4.4 sec is the time of the "smaller" AMG CL63 which is improved to 4.3 sec with the optional AMG pack! 4.4 is also the time of CL600 which is V12 over 500 bhp monster (510 to be exact) the CL550 gives 4.9 or 4.8 sec depending of the souse - probably again the AMG pack gives slightly better time!!! men... you should get better preparation for those videos...
Better, there are a few cars as exclusive as the CL Even today, 2020, how many do you see on the road vs. other models? On my end, that's what I like, a beautiful car that is not surrounded by 50 others just like it at a parking lot.
Sweet. Finally affordable now, in 2023.
Lol that’s what I was thinking too

This is my favourite generation of Mercedes benz, I had a 2007 s550 lwb. This generation just felt so special.
Those engines had balance shaft issues.

On my 2nd CL best cars in tha world!
18MPG for a 430HP four wheel drive luxury coupe?? Man that is really good. My 2008 E350 4matic gets 19MPG right now
A trick: watch series on flixzone. I've been using it for watching loads of movies recently.
@Decker Fletcher yea, have been using flixzone} for years myself :)
@Decker Fletcher Yea, I have been watching on Flixzone} for months myself :)
My favorite CL chassis, after the W126 560 SEC AMG.
the 2007-present Mercedes-Benz CL-Class is assembled in
Sindelfingen, Germany
TheCarArchives nobody cares
People dO care tho
@reevsaj
It may not be as practical cause it only has 2 doors... but admit it, large coupes are very stylish.
Yes, the inverted the HP its 429 not 492 but its will nice, not CL 600 nice but nice just the same!
The CL is gorgeous
Kev199117 thank you

Great to look at but I prefer you'll show something that we can buy.
netman88 6 years later now they are cheap lol
Bought my 2012 in 2016 with only 21,000 miles for a fraction of the 125,000 sticker price! Still own it and it’s a joy to drive ❤️
@@Jayarea510 - 12 years later and they're even cheaper.

If it wasn't 4matic it would have ABC suspension and there wouldn't be any body roll.
These aren't slalom cars. They're grand touring chariots.
Ray dononvan
Just a less practical version of the S Class. Nice that it comes standard with 4 Matic though.

429hp 492hp what does it matter where the fuck are you going
Marcus Dockery It matters when you're on a red light light with another fast coupe.
@motorweek its 429 hp not 492, please fix your video, you are giving out false information,
WorldStar no you are
@@ragnarlothbrok6324 no you are. It's 429 bhp or 435 Hp as we call it in Europe
Its 429, I have one.

The 2000 to 2006 model was much better made car look at interior pictures and it's very easy to see.
Both the 5.5 and 6.2 N/A equivalents were way better
On which way?
nope
@@cranehermit Yep!
You can say that again 💯
this thing looks like a 2006 honda accord. try harder Merc Bnz
If you saw them side by side in a parking lot, you wouldn't be concerned.
hideous steering wheel.
