The First Piece of Music I Ever Wrote! | Piano Ballade in E-Flat Major

Piece History and Basic Information
I started and completed the process of writing this piece during November of 2022, although many of musical ideas contained in this piece were developed earlier in the year. The piece is written in E-Flat Major and ultimately came from my heart, so that's nice I suppose.
The Story of This Piece
Hello person reading this RUclips Description, hopefully you're doing well! Allow me to tell you the story of how this piece came to be! Before I decided to start actually writing sheet music, often times I would just noodle around at the keyboard and come up with melodies, chord progressions, and small, often incomplete pieces of music that I would record on my phone. My process was incredibly disorganized, and I never wrote any of my musical ideas down (I didn't know how to) even if I felt that those ideas were important or noteworthy. Any who, one day I heard a beautiful melody in my head (the one the piece opens with) and thought to myself "Hey, I should get this guy down on the piano!". Then sometime later (perhaps even several weeks later), I heard another melody in my head that I loved (the one featured in the middle section of the piece) and I thought to myself "Hey, I should get this bad boy down on the ole keyboard!". Long story short, I decided to combine these two ideas into one piece and the end result is the piece that played in the above RUclips video. This piece is incredibly special to me for a variety of reasons, one of which being that it was the first piece of music I ever actually WROTE down. In order to write sheet music for this piece, I created a Flat.io account and began notating away until the job was done (keep in mind I didn't know how to read music at this point, so this task was quite difficult at times). Beyond being my first ever instance of written music, this piece holds a special place in my heart because whenever I played this piece for people, I would always get a remarkably positive reaction! People would often tell me that this piece made them think of some sort of story or narrative in their head, one guy even told that the piece made him think of a Lonely Anteater embarking on a journey for love and becoming a better person (or animal I guess) in the process! I could go on and on, but what I would really like to communicate is that this piece is truly special to me and that the reactions I garnered from this piece helped me come to a point where I genuinely started to believe I could be a real composer and potentially make the world a better place through music! This is also my dad's favorite of all my compositions, and he loves this piece dearly, thanks for the encouragement, Dad!
