Because you basically have to go “okay, so what did this guy do that made it sound good?” And then do the opposite. Also some parts, like the drum Megalovania would definitely require a lot of backtracking to make sure it works as they wanted it to. Tldr is that to make a good sounding piece, you follow music theory. To turn said pieces into this, you have to both follow music theory AND find the opposite.

yes. However, for some reason the high D is hard to notice: in some plays I could hear it and in some I couldn't.
