ShartimusPrime Biography:
Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

When Hasbro ML figures are $25 and don't come with nearly the same amount of accessories and paint, I think Diamond Select is a pretty strong competitor to Hasbro.
They should scale well with McFarlane figures too, so folks can get their Marvel vs DC on.
Yup they do scale well with McFarlane, my MarvelxDC display is coming together and hoping for a classic looking Iron Man
I am glad Steve became the one super soldier to become Captain America because he is a very great leader by showing so much courage, leadership, and honor to the United States along with everyone else, I don't collect Marvel Select, But this Captain America action figure looks dope especially with the head sculpts and his mighty shield, Overall, Great review on him Shartimus.
Diamond Marvel Select has done an excellent job on this product. Along with MS's Torch, all that is needed is for them to make a Namor to complete an Invaders team.
And a Golden Age Bucky, Toro plus the rest of the Kid Commandos.
There are other Invaders (such as Spitfire) and other Golden Age characters (such as the Whizzer) also I'd like there to be a Red Skull and other villains, from both the Golden Age and beyond
But I doubt that there will be any figures of the Golden Age Young Allies (I'll admit that those comics are something of a guilty pleasure of mine...)

That Shield setup is awesome
That shield functionality is genius! Best implementation so far!
The scales look super nice in pictures, the lighting and natural shadows give them a very comic-like look, good stuff!
This really feels like a first appearance, Timely Comics, era capt. And theres a lot of old school figure vibes to this. They went all out on the accessories too. I really respect other companies trying to go all out with a definitive attempt on a character where as Hasbro constantly seems to cut corners to just do things just enough off to leave some fruit on the vine to return to and do a slightly updated verson or different accessories.

I have to admit I was sitting on the fence first once I saw the screenshots but now that I’ve seen the video it actually looks really cool!!! I’ve always been a fan of the classic Steve and don’t feel the head sculpt on the legends was impressive. Definitely gonna pick this bad boy up

Ah, if only I needed a WW2 Captain America for my Invaders. Unfortunately, I already have 2. One from a 2-pack with Bucky with the triangle shield and detached cowl, the other, the MCU Version in fatigues with Peggy Carter.
I keep going back and forth on this figure. Sometimes the proportions looks fine and sometimes they look ridiculous.

Captain Affordability! Unfortunately he was killed off in the mid 80s.
Awesome review and awesome looking figure. I may have to pick it up. My only note is that they could have lowered his belt a little and made the red and white torso stripes a bit longer. Also, if I could make a suggestion. In the future I would love to see size comparisons between some of the Diamond Select Marvel figures and the McFarlane Multiverse DC figures. Since both lines are 7-inch scale. I'm really curious how that Cap sizes up to Hush Batman for example

Diamond should be commended for the great design ideas and accessories they include, but it's the substandard fine details, articulation, and finishing touches that continue to keep the Marvel Select line from ever being more than an after thought.
I think there is something in their license clause that limits how much articulation they can have. Don’t remember for sure but I remember that was floating around 5-10 years ago.

So they have to make due with that, although like someone else said, that's got nothing to do with their sloppy paint and all of the other issues they have!

My problem with Diamond select is that the figures are all painted so they get chipped everywhere, love how Hasbro is avoiding paints as much as possible like the new magneto for and example has the bicep built in 2 pieces
