Tracii is A true legend for creating the mighty LA GUNS ,But Lewis definitely brought that extra magic the band desperately needed .....Guns and Lewis lethal combination
Half correct, Paul Black was the drummer for the Mau Maus (Rick Wilders punk band after Glam / proton punk band, Berlin Brats) & drummer in The Joneses. Jeff Drake is the lead vocalist / guitarist in The Joneses. Nicky Alexander was also the drummer in earlier L.A. punk band The Weirdos before The Germs.
Yup! All of what Jarrett said...and Don Bolles was the drummer for The Germs (and Celebrity Skin if you remember them). Anyway...The Weirdos were waaay better than The Germs anyway. They are my all-time favorite SoCal Punk band.
Phil Lewis came from London, UK & sang in GIRL (w/Phil Collin/Def Leppard) & sang in TORMÉ (Bernie gtr. who's Tophat & riffs def influenced G-n-R). I was at this show! 16 yrs old & so in love with Paul! My favorite band then. I took pictures & audiotaped every L.A. performance. Still have them. Even named my first car "Little Guns". Hope Paul is well!

I think the lineup is Robert Stoddard - guitar / Mick Cripps - Bass / Nickey Alexander - Drums / Tracii Guns - guitar / Paul Mars Black- vocals . I was at this show, I remember that being the lineup, I could be wrong.
Yeah...that is the line up. Paul got fired because he was a junkie and nodded off in the room as they were signing their record contract (according to Tracii)....then they flew Phil Lewis out from the UK and the rest is history.
