    One of the most consistent bands ever in my opinion. The majority of their catalog is amazing. This band is the real LA Guns .

    Great interview, you know how to give space. That first album was so full of energy and attitude. I was lucky enough to see them on the first tour opening for Blind Tiger, I mean Def Leppard, in the round in the Dean Dome in NC and they hit the stage on fire like they’d just escaped from prison! I looked around and the entire crowd was singing the chorus’ because they were hooks with attitude. Always my top workout album when I need motivation. Happy New Year 2025 to you and yours from east Hawaii 🤙🏼🤙🏼🌋🌴🌊🏄🏼🏝️

    Met many of the members over the years. I think Phil is the greatest, I think Tracii is the greatest guitarist to come out of the 80s! Now his personality left me a bit disgusted but it may have been the times. I haven't seen them in many years because they only recently came through and there was not much promotion for the show. Then there was the time I drove 2 1/2 hours and their drummer never made it to the gig so it was canceled. I would still go see them because as many said their fire live even today! The revolving door blows but it seems to be the case for many of the bands that came out of the 80s. Love to hear them kick a great tune they did way back. Believe it was a Japanese release. Ain't The Same Without You was a great fucking song even with the horns but I'd love to hear an updated release of that one. I have some great stories. Like I said met many of my idol's and peers. The three I can say were the best were in order John Corabi, Phil, Mick Mars and I'll slip Vince Neil in there too. Nikki was ok but kind of a bullshitter. I actually spent 4hrs with Crab and I'll never forget it greatest guy in the world considering the life he lives. Phil most generous guy great personality. Mick was quite but extremely generous with his time considering his health issues. Great great stories that I'll never forget. I met Page and Plant but as you can imagine getting time with them nearly impossible. Robin Cosby was also a great dude but very intimidated by fans. Tom Keifer also a decent guy.

    Some Drummers feel they have to make up in different ways because theyre not song writers ... So they become a pain in the ass in other ways ... Such as management, artwork, choosing material and most of all engineering and production !!! In many cases besides the drums they have no business being involved in these issues ... I know it all too well ... Im a Drummer Lolol

    Phil is so talented. Unfortunately, he seems to come off smug and so critical of others. He's had such a great career and it's still going, so it's always a bummer to listen to him talk sh*t. ....not necessarily on this one.

    Why don't you ask "honest honorable" Phil WHY he blatantly STOLE Paul Mars Black's music (with help from Tracii Ulrich-Guns' help of course) and then proceeded to change some lyrics and call it his own. The band then used majority of that stolen material to create (and sell loads of) their first album. But that's not all. Phil continues to this day to badmouth, run down, and demean Paul Black's artistic talents, his singing ability, and his so called "reason for being kicked out of L.A. Guns years ago", in the media. To this day, this guy Lewis is sooo insecure and ungrateful for what he was literally handed on a silver platter, he can't help himself from discreditting the guy he replaced and stole music from. Phil wasn't satisfied with just stealing Black's songs, his vocal style, and his place as lead singer of L.A. Guns. That wasn't enough. He actually has the audacity to criticize Black (unprovoked) for years everywhere in the media. Paul's life, his career (being buried in lawsuits for years over the stolen songs cost him any chance to further his musical way with later bands), his everything was destroyed by L.A. Guns, and specifically the band's label,Tracii, Phil, and even Steve Riley later on. These guys are as dishonest, disrespectful, and pathetic of human beings as you can ever find. Yet their "fans" gloss over all the bands' shortcomings and act as if they are some class act. This band has had absolutely NO integrity or care or respect for other musicians or human beings in general. And I am only making reference to thir horrible treatment of Paul Mars Black. L.A. Guns has hurt, mistreated, and betrayed MANY other musicians/artists over the years. But hey, they must think that their rewriting of their own history/past/bio will cover their asses for all the horrible things they've done and all the people they used and hurt over the years...>

      Curious why Black would go back to LA Guns if he was treated so badly around 2008??? Any insight?

      One interview with Paul and you can see why….

    • @joylane2960
      @joylane2960 24 дня назад +1

      @@jimmyagates Because Paul to a fault is a forgiving and trusting person. Tracii ended up screwing him over YET AGAIN back in 2008 and that is why that so called "reunion" went down the toilet and he disappeared. Tracii actually cooked up a scheme to get Paul in another country filling in with another band and then tried to act on social media as if Paul betrayed LA Guns and left them for no reason. Tracii refused to talk about it or respond to Paul in anyway during this whole issue. Instead he literally hid from Paul. And just like he always does lied to everyone around about what was going on. He tried to turn their then label and supports against Paul again and this was Tracii's way to, like always, abort and evade a band he is with. He did this because he was trying to steal all the money from the "2008 reunion" situation and Paul saw it and would not allow him to do it. Tracii has turned his back on and walked away from so many other musicians and bands over the years, including his own band LA Guns on a few occasions...> Just avoid these guys (Tracii, Phil, etc) like the plague because they are a cancer to music...>

    This is a band i could never get into. Tried a few times. Just not feeling it. I like the song "Never Enough" a bit. I always kinda thought they were one of the bigger poser bands of the eighties. I have to hand it to them though. I never thought for a second that they could still be around all these years later. To me just another faster pussycat. Definitely jumped on the Crue band wagon.
