    With the two new versions of the RAM and all the new features in design and technology these trucks are already going up in price. Combine that with the interest rates high, the price of this strike rolled into it and vary very few people will be able to afford one.

Very disappointing but I had doubts about them being able to get the outputs for anything approaching reasonable cost for the gains. Definitely a downer. Well you have to start somewhere. When we were switching from horse and buggy to ICE vehicles there weren't gas stations everywhere either. The gasoline industry was very immature at the time and over many many years it was built up to what it is today. This is why it's a transition and not just a dead switch to EV next year or the following year. We will get there and the infrastructure will be built up to support it just like the gasoline infrastructure was for ICE vehicles. Within the next 10-15yrs it's gonna be a lot more EV based like it or not.

    So the Chrysler 300 is really gone?

    • @DWH300
      @DWH300 7 месяцев назад

      I purchased a 2020 300C 5.7 and yes. The 300 is gone after the remaining 2023 inventory is sold. Stellantis is killing off Dodge and Chrysler one vehicle at a time. If my counts correct. Currently Dodge is selling the final run of the 2023 Challengers, Chargers and Durangos with the imported Hornet, leaving the Hornet as the only vehicle remaining until Stellantis decides on their replacements. With the Chrysler 300 also ending production. Chrysler Currently has only the Pacifica remaining until Stellantis finalizes Chrysler's future. The same thing happened to Plymouth who gave us the Roadrunner, Barracuda and GTX. I guess we'll wait and see.

    Nothing but bad news. MOPAR is screwing up by ending their Hemi line. If Ford and GM can continue their V8 lines, so can MOPAR. I think Stellantis is screwing Dodge in the you know where on purpose. They can make both POS EV's and V8 Hemi Chargers and Challengers, but I think they are too lazy to do it.

    • @overlord6815
      @overlord6815 7 месяцев назад +2

      It costs Dodge too much to continue making Hemi engines, the fines they have to pay are eating them alive.

    • @CTripodi1965
      @CTripodi1965 7 месяцев назад

      @@overlord6815, I have read that, but still Ford and GM are having no problems still making V8 engine cars. No excuses for MOPAR to stop their production of muscle car V8 engines.

    • @DWH300
      @DWH300 7 месяцев назад

      @overlord6815, Both Stellantis and GM fines were based on government mpg numbers. Ford has the Mustang Mach E that helps the Mustang with fleet mpg. They also have the F-150 lightning that helps with fleet mpg. Then include their PHEV suv lineup and they have room to build V8 Mustangs and the limited number of Raptor Rs. Most of Ford's vehicles (SUV and Pickups) use their 3 cyl, 4 cyl and 6 cyl EcoBoost engines.
      Regarding GM who also paid a hugh Government fine. We know they are dropping the V8 Camaro with it possibly returning as an EV SUV leaving only the performance C8 Corvette which released a decreased amount of only 23,381 models in 2022. And the limited production Cadillac Blackwing. Not enough to effect the fleet mpg. Include their upcoming EVs and their current Bolt EVs and PHEV SUV. With the end of the Camaro. The C8 will soon be their only main, but still limited V8 vehicle with the hybrid E-Ray coming soon.
      Stellantis US brands like Dodge and Chrysler have yet to release an EV of any type with the Ram REV Pickup projected to release in 2024. A little late to the EV party.

    • @ducktails1695
      @ducktails1695 7 месяцев назад +6

      For a very short time...don't get your hopes up. Sure maybe they extend the V8 life a couple more years but it will not last long. They cannot afford it. The entire reason why Dodge isn't producing V8 engines anymore is the enormous cost to the government with CAFE. GM and Ford currently have the fuel efficient vehicles and EV's to offset their carbon emissions and lower MPG vehicles all Dodge has is big V8 low mileage vehicles so it's paying out the ass for CAFE credits to keep selling these vehicles to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars and its getting more and more expensive for them every single year. This is also why you kept seeing price increases of the Scatpack and Hellcat models...to try and offset some of that cost but the customer cannot afford to pay the majority of it and Dodge cannot afford to keep picking up the tab for the rest.
      This is why vehicles like the Dodge Hornet is great for you folks yet you just shit all over it because it's not a HEMI powered V8 vehicle. These vehicles help your cause so you should want this vehicle to succeed like crazy. If Dodge had more vehicles like the Hornet Dodge could probably keep producing at least some of the higher powered V8 vehicles in some capacity for a couple more years. Remember Dodge wasn't always a big V8 only company and it survived just fine. Just look at the late 80's and early 90's where it was mostly 4cyl vehicles, turbo 4 cylinders and some higher powered V6's and they were producing some of the best selling vehicles in the industry. It can do it again with the right strategy going forward. There is a market out there for Dodge where people do not care to have a HEMI powered V8 vehicle. Believe it or not, the big V8 vehicles weren't Dodge's best selling vehicles. They made the most headlines but they certainly weren't their best selling vehicles, not by a long shot.
