- With the LX/LD Charger ending production at the end of this year, I thought it would be cool to take a look back at the 10 rarest, or most limited, or least produced, Dodge Chargers that exist from the 6th generation onwards. Each car will be shown in detail, including the production numbers, MSRP, features, performance, and more!

Thanks to @nooneymotorsports for reminding me about the 2019 Stars & Stripes Package. It was $1,995 and could be added to the Challenger and Charger R/T, R/T Scat Pack, and GT trim levels. I don't know production quantities, could not find that info, so I suspect it may be rare enough to be in this top 10 but cannot confirm!
I almost bought a 2013 Charger SRT 392 appearance package in billet silver metallic back in 2016 but somebody got to the dealership before me. I settled on a 2014 SRT in granite crystal metallic.
Wow cool, I wonder how many of those 2013s they made in Billet Silver because I don’t see many posted anywhere. Other colors seemed more popular. At least you have the same performance and basically the same car at the end of the day!

I’m surprised the Swinger edition scat pack didn’t make it on here, only 1,000 chargers, 1,000 challengers, each 500 F8 green (auto for both), each 300 White Knuckle (auto for both), and each 200 Sublime Green (manual 6-speed for challengers, 8 speed auto for chargers). It’s a 1 year only car for 2023, and it’s only in widebody form. I bought a charger in white knuckle, and I love it!

i have like 6 computers all can game do what ever just the 3 newst i got 3 years ago would be no sweat. with 128 gb of 4200 ram. at the time the 3 fastest processors in the world. the towers to build is more as my brand new ram. running on a 240 hz samsung screens. that are 5k 49 in curved on 2 set ups

@@MarspeedCarsGood day, well I finally heard back from Stellantis and was surprised to learn there were only 212 Charger SPWB's in Granite with the Hemi Orange Package and similar equipment made in 2022? I guess I would have thought more people would take advantage of the combined savings? Today I finally heard from Stellantis and my Challenger has been built and shipped to the dealer. Wahoo. It took 5 months last year this year was over 6 months. Have a good one 🙂

I have #292 09 Super Bee and the steering wheels stitching is not Orange. I think the 09s were the only ones with out the coloured wheel stitching between the 07-09s. I always noticed that and thought it was weird
Damn those early Charger's have the side profile of a loaf of bread !! Like a brick in aerodynamics
Watching this vid had me thinking, Dodge had a lot of wheel options over the years. Would be a big undertaking to cover em all but would make for a fun video

Appreciate it my man! My charger has been running great am ripping it everywhere I go haha, just been traveling and I live in a busy city so hard for me to film good content these days. I have to get out and do that before winter hits. I will check on the Hemi Orange and let you know! I bet it’s not many though, salespeople wouldn’t know much about it and I figure a lot of people wouldn’t opt for it on an already awesome SP wide body car. Are you talking total since the package came out or just last year (2022)? Also side note is that your Hemi orange in your picture? Looks awesome 😁

@@MarspeedCars Yes. I got everything but the summer tires and now wish I had. The tires on it really throw you around. It's a great car . . . I just received an update from Dodge, my 2023 Challenger SPWB F8 T/A is finally in production. I'll be set for a long time. I've had the Charger a year in July and have 2,000 miles on it, thanks to an 06 Subaru Outback sedan as a daily driver. I'm not really sure how to post photos on RUclips. Lol.

Those 2023 widebody superbees are the best looking chargers out in my opinion. I also don’t see what’s the reason behind slimbody superbees unless they’re gutted and weigh 3900 like the 2011-2014 ones
I have a 2013 SRT-8 Appearance Package in white with serial number 32/392. It's my daily driver and still going strong after 107k miles.
Funny how "Hemi Orange" looks more like copper, on the early 2000s Daytona Charger, or red, like on the 2009 Super Bee. I've seen both cars at varying times in Utah. Another rare Charger is the Dub Edition.
Curious what the numbers looked like for the Octane Package.
I literally just bought a 2014 Charger R/T in header orange, its my first V8 sedan ever and my first car purchase myself, and im very happy i got it now, since they are going away

This is the one I was thinking about and may have missed putting in, but I could not for the life of me find any production numbers. I know they have a Challenger and Charger one and they are so sick but everywhere I look just says "Limited". Is yours numbered or does it have a dash plaque?

FCA told me my 2021 Dodge Durango RT with Tow n Go , Blacktop, F8 green, leather interior, HK 19 sound, Cargo Group, and black Brembos, was THE only one built to those exact specifications. I ordered it like that in Nov. 2020. Would that be considered a "rare" model? or are we looking at only packages?
Yeah I don’t consider those a rare model just a more unique build, because if you get into those specs most vehicles will be a 1 of a much smaller amount because you opted for this or that option. Truthfully, if you customized the car when ordering then it will probably be max 1/100 or less as not everyone will order sunroof, brembos, packages, even you could get racing stripes which im sure they didn’t do much of.
I just considered vehicles that had a limited production run (so Dodge says we won’t make any more than this) with the exception of the 2017 SRT 392 which takes into account the entire trim level for the whole year since it happened to be the lowest produced year of any Charger SRT model since 2006.
I think the dodge charger SRT8 2011-2014 models are the best looking mopars ever.
People forget and also don’t know SRT-8 was independent. They actually rode and handled different. Like AMG of Dodge basically

Can you do hellcats based off rarity in color I have a Jazz blue charger hellcat 1 of 36 made in 2015 this color only came in 2015 and 16 and they didn’t offer it as a come back color with the last calls
i have a 2013 SRT8 392. with the appearance package..in plum crazy purple..i see it is pretty rare..do you know how many of these were sent to Canada and how many were purple..if not would...you have any idea on how i would find this info

Good video as usual but you missed a pretty rare special edition. So rare in fact I only just found out about it a few weeks ago myself. It's the 2007 SRT Plum Crazy. Apparently for that model year there were only 400 vehicles made in the Plum Crazy color and much like the other special editions it comes with the serialized dash plaque with your vehicle's unique serial number.
Yeah thanks for pointing that out, I actually just decided from the beginning that a color couldn’t make the list on its own without being a special model (like Stone White but it’s a Daytona, Hemi Orange but it’s a Super Bee). Reason being I already did a rare colors video and it leaves me open to doing an updated one. So like the 07 SRT8 is identical to every other SRT8 aside from the purple, whereas the Super Bees lets say are different even if details are small.
The colors are also difficult to track down. They also usually bring the colors back as well. From my data, 2007 they had 300 Plum Crazy SRT8s and 1,520 Daytonas, but there were also only 152 Plum Crazy’s on the 2013 SRT8s and just 48 Hemi Oranges (hard info to find though as some of these may have been Super Bees but I can’t find that out conclusively.) And I want to say Jazz Blue was the rarest 2015 Charger color (131 across all SRTs and Hellcats) simply because nobody wanted to order it 😂.
So yeah the colors make it tougher and I decided not to do them here, gotta have rules or else the video would be difficult to do. I had no idea they had serialized plaques though that’s new info to me!
@@MarspeedCars Any info on how many 2012 - 2014 Charger SRT8s were produced with that dark blue (I don't know the specific name of the color) and with caramel interior? If you need an example look for the video "Dodge Charger SRT Review" by EverydayDriver. That combination seems rare as hell, or maybe people are just hanging onto them because they look so good.
I find it amusing that all the other cars were broken down by number except for the 2013 392 in 2014 392. I'm trying to find out which color was the most rare for 2013

I recently traded my 06 RT for a 07 SRT8 PLUM CRAZY PURPLE charger.. i heard only 300 were made that year im #23 i thought i had something rare😮 I've always liked chargers now i know what to look for when i buy my next one

That Plum Crazy Super Bee is one of the most beautiful cars Ive ever seen (Dodge biased of course 😅) congrats! Question if you know, how was the take off with the Mopar ‘11? Only factory car from Dodge to have 3.92 gearing, heard great to takeoff but not the best on highway acceleration?
@@MarspeedCars The 3.92 rear was very quick off the line and the auto stick was fun. It had the super trackpack suspension as well. I upgraded the exhaust it was a beast. It was my daily. Had 2016 and 2020 widebody’ as well. The superbee sits in the garage. My daily is a 21’ Ram 2500 cummins limited.

I have a 14 R/T Classic in Plum crazy bought new its been junk from day one. It by far over qualified for CA Lemon Law and it's 1 of 36 I see why now.

I have a 2018 Charger R/T and the only things that make it unique are I checked every box (Except Engine block heater; I really wanted the upgraded suspension and brakes which put it on par with the 5.7 Daytona) and its color which is F8 Green. I got in touch with PLMCRZY a few years back for the breakdown of R/Ts and they built 136 in that shade. Guess people don't like the color as much as I do

Almost had a Chrysler 300 mopar edition. The car lot sold it a day before i came in with the money
I have the mopar 22 edition Durango in white. Only 250 made 200 for US and 50 for Canada. I also believe out of those numbers only around 75 are white

I have a 2018 Dodge Charger Daytona 392, still not sure if it’s an SRT or RT? The dealer described it as having everything they put in a Hellcat that same model year, with the exception of the supercharger. It’s done in the Yellow Jacket color, 1 of 73 built.

U said the mopar 15 with the extra 18 hp would have 488 hp. In 2015 the 392 had 485 already not 470.
I said 388, that Mopar ‘15 is an R/T only with the 5.7L Hemi

I would say it’s more like a Hellcat with all those features and just the 6.4 Engine. Scats now can be way more barebones (like cloth seats or just Alcantara if you upgrade, no adaptive suspension, smaller brakes, etc.)

These aren't Chargers, well they have the nameplate and performance but none of the looks and beauty that's for sure. This 4 door euro trash looking can would have been great as a Coronet, but not a Charger
