DeWalt needs to come out with a 10" 120V Flexvolt table saw. The 120V flexvolt Miter saw has been out for 5+ years. They are really missing a huge opportunity.
I've been using that saw for a couple of years now. Great little saw to have on the truck for occasional small rips. Saves me hours, even days over the span of a year, not having to drag out an extra extension cord. I tricked mine up a little with a home made T square fence, and a small folding outfield table, which make for an improvement over stock. That said, I have an old powermatic 66 cabinet saw in my shed I use for bigger stuff when needed.
The unique features you are describing here also match the Skilsaw Heavy Duty Worm Drive Tablesaw that I've used for the last couple years, although this one is compact and cordless. The Skilsaw is neither of those things. I'm sure I would appreciate this saw for it's portability. Thanks for the great review, Ron.
Fairly concise review there. Gave me a few things to think about.
I bought mine for a field saw and it works fine with its limitation Ron shared. I like it.
I just picked this saw up a few weeks ago but haven't had the chance to use it as I'm remodeling/re-orging my garage and I'm using my 10" electric saw but I see this being very convenient for doing work in my backyard or at another location. Thanks for the review Ron!
An excellent assessment and thank you for sharing your experiences with the saw.
You bet
Great review of the Dewalt compact cordless table saw. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
Enjoyed your observations on this saw. Cordless has come so far in the last 5 years. Keep up the good work and reviews. Regards.
😎🤙Thanks, will do!
Glad you're doing tool review Ron.
As a middle aged remodeler in a hilly town I understand the attraction of lightweight tools, however, I too have found that the Sawstop job site saw is just too good to not be the " go to " tool .
Keep up the good work , I appreciate it
It looks to be a great saw and well thought out. It would be handy to have as a mobile saw. Thanks for sharing
You bet
I have the corded Dewalt. Bought it when they first came out. It’s been a real work horse, for the size of saw.
I’ll definitely be checking into the cordless version. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing
Great video!!!! 👍🏽👍🏽
Its just the right size, fits in the front or back seat if needed.
I got that cordless table saw. Sometimes I use 1/4 dado blade for making panel cabinets doors. Very handy that baby. Greetings from El Salvador. Centro America.
My corded bigger one sits on the shelf now. Between this and the flex volt skill saw my life is good. Dont need to be walking back and forth setting up and wrapping up 100s of feet of cord. Although I need it for dadoes and mass production.
The more battery powered tools I have the easier it is for me to do carpentry and handyman work....
11:30 speaking of SawStop, what projects (framing, cabinets, bookshelves?) do you do? I'm trying to decide which SawStop model I want for my small workshop.
You forgot to mention the thin-rip feature. Awesome video!
I don’t know about that feature🤔
I'm curious as well
This was great thanks! I had to downsize my shop to a storage shed and said goodbye to my big table saw. I bought all of your plans so I can do most things on the patio with your benches and a circular saw. But I really miss having a TS when I ripped a whole rooms worth of trim with a rip guide on a circular saw. Right now I am considering the 10” DWE7941 or the SawStop. For you, how do the JSPro and 10” Dewalt compare as far as setup/take down on the bench, dust collection, and fence/cross cut sled accuracy. The JSPro looks like a great saw, but at 2x the cost is the added weight/size over the Dewalt worth it? This is 100% for DIY and furniture. Thanks and keep making videos!
Hey Dan,
The JSPro is worth every penny. Remember it is the only saw with the safety stop. It is a beast, but still my go to for most all TS work. Hope this helps, Ron😎🤙
Ron I know this is off topic, but I just had to resubscribe to your channel. I know I was definitely subcribed before. Just to give you a heads up.
You do have to spend some time setting the saw up... blade, fence, etc. But once done, the saw is great. Fairly compact which is Nice ruclips.net/user/postUgkxXh-4_3-ZT1fFWP91ZV7iVqzElr0lEb-a I did get an Incra Miter Gauge which takes some setup as well. The stock miter gauge can be adjusted in the miter slot with a little painter's tape... this tightens up the side to side play a lot.
How did you get your trailer in like that?
The biggest problem is the shaft on the motor is to short
I have model 745 and that’s problem with it
I’ve been debating whether or not to buy a cordless setup, the 7-1/4” mitre saw for quick jobs
I bought one and its awesome... very lightweight...
We need more tools that are both battery and AC for maximum flexibility. I also cringe at the thought of the potential cost for DC/AC tools.
Agree 100 percent!
This was a great saw but I upgraded to the Milwaukee for the simple fact of being able to use dado blades!
The cordless Milwaukee fits dado's?!? Where did you hear that?
@@Sasquatch0251 I didn't here that I actually used the dado blades with the saw my man! Some knowledge comes with actual experience!
@@RenovationsandRepair how wide of a stack will it fit and did you use the 8-in, or 6-in dado set? I have the corded 10-in dewalt table saw. The one that only goes to 24 in, and the arbor isn't long enough to accommodate a dado setup. I didn't know that, until I spent a hundred bucks on a stack from Home Depot and tried to put them on for a project. I know the new corded 10-in that goes up to a 32-in rip, has a long enough arbor, but I had no idea that any of these cordless 8 and 1/4 in size can fit them.
What do you get two cuts with it?
Harika güzel
Apparently the dado issue a European thing re the blade stopping within a few seconds, The mass of the blades causes it to continue turning and violating the EU safty rules
