I go here regularly. I have visited many other parks and coasters everywhere. But NOTHING. No steel coaster, or other coaster will EVER be better than this. I have ridden this about 15 times and it seems to surprise me every time. Never gets old.
I rode this yesterday in the back seat. When I tell you i was speechless and out of breath. I was. I could not even talk after the ride and I could not stand. One of the best I've ridden ever.
One of the longest, fastest, tallest, and best wooden coasters in the world! And it also has 25 seconds of airtime! that's what I call extreme! at the top of my list of coasters to ride!
I love how the terrain does not provide a trustworthy point of reference. The midcourse brake run looks to be about ten feet off the ground. You'd probably be thinking, "we won't have enough steam to make it back to the station." But then you go through ten more hills, three more tunnels, and a helix at OMFG speeds. Genius!
This is some old footage. Looks like it was recorded during the 2006 season when the coaster opened. Theyre going to have to get an updated pov of The Voyage for 2015 now that Thunderbird will be weaving through it.
It uses the terrain, especially in the tunnels since that alone dives into the side of a hill. Something nobody notices until you partake in a walkback of the coaster.

There are 4 roller coasters like this one - voyage, el toro, beast, shivering timbers but this one stands out. It is the most impressive to look at. The best name. The best experience. But for me the best woodie on earth is the thunderbolt at Kennywood. On paper and in pictures it dosent look great but it is the best.

This coaster is the real deal. It is blinding fast and will beat you like a rented mule. I cannot believe a wooden coaster goes this fast. I have ridden it 3 years in a row. I question my decision every year.
I think I went into this coaster with expectations that could never be met. I expected the best coaster in the world and I was sorely disappointed. Hell, I thought the Raven was more entertaining, which is a shame because I know its reputation and how many people love this coaster.
I know right? For the longest time, I wanted to go on Shivering Timbers, but once I saw Voyage, I was like HOLY S***, that looks like one long lean mean mutha. Talk about a 'twist' on the traditional out and back coaster. Needless to say, the trip to go on Shivering Timbers has been canceled. Given that Holiday World also has Raven and Legend, I think that will be my next stop.
You can tell the difference the timberliners make on these things. Can roller coasters made by the gravity group have timberliners? Or could a GCI coaster have them also?
I rode this yesterday for the first time and It felt like I was being thrown off the side of a cliff. It felt like I was not even buckled in. I have bruises all over my legs now from holding on so hard haha. I have never been so scared in my entire life.and I am a roller coaster enthusiast and ride anything that scares most people. Only ride this is you are insane and have a death wish LOL
If you stop at 1:56 and if you see at the top the one box looking thing right under the roller coaster, they fixed that because of once when they went up that high hill, IT STOPPED true NO LIES I was in the wave and saw it happened. they were stuck for bout 20 min scary!!!!
What is the average speed of this coaster? Also, are the tracks at the furthest point away from the station on higher ground? I could never get my mind around how the coast is still able to go so fast and still go up high when the ride is almost over.

I rode the Thunderbird this weekend. The Voyage is still my favorite coaster at Holiday World.
I love this coaster it was the second best at holiday world.
Been on it in every seat, gotta say the middle is the best place to sit. Loved every second of it.
The Voyage is a insane ride I rode it and it was the best rollercoaster I've riden so far.
