Don't worry guys, this is NOT about Rollercoaster Tycoon World. You won't find anything in this video about that death park of a game. This is the O.G. Rollercoaster Tycoon 2. This parody video follows the adventures of Cody W, a real life guest in the park. Watch him listen to cool music, touch real things at Disneyworld, and spoiler: he even drowns at the end. The only thing this video doesn't have is the famous rollercoaster tycoon theme. But you can go somewhere else for that.

I've rewatched this a few times and the thing I love most is the subtle RCT screams and cash register noises in the background every so often.

If I remember right, in RCT, the maximum price guests pay for drinks depends on the weather, going up to $2 when it's hot. Drinks at Disney IRL cost $3-$6. In other words, RCT guests wouldn't even think of buying Disney's drinks, let alone find them good value.

Weather, temperature and happiness all contribute to how much guests are willing to pay.
The happiest of guests easily pay over $4 for some drinks and over $5 for some foods, although it's saver to settle on half that amount to appease most of the guests and keep the park rating up.

When i play this game (Yes i still play it) i sell soda and drinks for 3.00 and burger, sandwiches, pizza and hot dogs the same price. Big earners for the game hahaaa.
$2 in 1999 is like $3.25 nowadays. RCT needs to be adjusted for inflation. Lol

I especially loved the monorail part. Anytime I've tried that in RCT I'm always like "it's free and it's how you get to the rest of the park so just RIDE THE MONORAIL!" Lol

Unfortunately, the way the peeps are coded, they don't treat the transport rides as an actual way to get around the park, so they end up not using them the way you'd intuitively expect. This is why using transport rides as the main, or only, way to get to certain areas in the parks never pans out very well. The peeps treat rides like the monorail as another ride for their entertainment instead of part of a destination path. I really wish someone would make a mod that fixes that. (They don't even use the elevator to get up to things, it's just another ride, albeit with really low stats so almost nobody likes it.)

There is one slight inconsistency with the logic, at least in RCT2/C and Open guests will ride free transport rides regardless of how far below their preferred intensity rating they are. Given that the entry fee was over $100.00 there no way in hell they'd be charging for the rides.
