She's very talented. I also heard that she's not an actress and she never done this in her life. She's a natural genuinely talented girl. I saw the new teaser trailer for Hellblade 2 and her performance even there is just Wow. I wish her all the best. She deserve it all 💕💪🏿👍🏿
That actress made this game her acting sent chills down my spine
And she is not an actress... Amazing.
She was actually a part of Ninja Theory team as their photographer and video editor. Then they asked her to perform, she didn't want to do it at first because she's never done it before but gave it a go. Then they were amazed by the test performance so they got her as the actress as well. She even says in the first performances she was very nervous and extreme and dramatic with her facial expressions because she was very nervous and has an introverted personality.
@@Raven_Black_252 Good for her for embracing the unknown. Senua's Sacrifice was an amazing journey and I'm glad she was there in the spotlight. She really helped make the game.

This was all done by an indie game company, and this game is by far the most phenomenal ive ever played
To be fair, most of the mocap stuff was bankrolled by Epic as a tech demo. They provided engineers and outside 3rd party expertise to make it happen.
@@evilbred974 Can you point to the source of that info. What I remember is they had to invent their own mocap stuff to save on money and fit into the tight budget.

@@Zingam They said in the making of video that Epic (maker of the Unreal engine) was heavily involved in the process, and they showed them going to companies that did 3d scanning as well.
It's implied that Epic was a very involved partner in this, likely using Hellblade as a tech demo, thus offering the expertise for free or well below normal cost.

To be fair Ninja Theory has been doing stuff like this for a long time, Heavenly Sword still has better mo cap animation than most the games today. Hey still put the work in and the bigger devs have zero excuses. That's the main point.
This is one of the most underrated games I've ever had the pleasure to play.

The song was by Heilung! Absolutely go check them out. Their stage performance is absolutely insane. I saw them earlier this year, near 2AM at night, after a long festival. It was a transcendent experience, to say the least.

@@pedrosales4096 yeah. Hopefully better gameplay too. Hellblade one was an amazing game but they focused more about how to deliver one part of the game that they forgot the rest. Now with a bigger team they can do both.
I'd be rather scared - producers and their PC requirements to satisfy. More money is does not mean a better production at all. The best example are the plethora of failed expensive movies this year. Overall 2019 is the worst year for movies and games I remember.
Small teams make better games, bigger teams with more money just means more oversight from execs who know nothing besides $$$

This is gorgeous, but the new trailer for Senua 2 makes it look like a toy in comparison. Incredibly how just a few years of progress can improve things so dramatically.

The music in this game is so good , one of my favorite single player games to date. I played this game over and over and over again and my favorite song is from this song track still sends chill up my spine when I listen to it

The most mind-blowing thing for me is that Melina wasn't planned to be the actor, initially she was "just" a stand-in double to test the technology (beside her job as video editor). Then many fans commented in blog posts showing her, almost all recommending her. That's why you should listen to your fan base. I'm glad to see her back in the sequel.

I played this game for the first time last week and completed it, it was one of the stand out games that I played on the Xbox One. Truely a masterpiece in every way. Was damn stressfull to play but seriously amazing.

Okay. Doing the motion capture for characters is one thing. But to be able to do it LIVE AND IN REAL TIME??? This company and the actress herself deserve WAY more credit than what people give them...
Melina was the teams video editor who was just standing in until another actress was found but she did such a good job they kept her on 👌👌

This is my first time watching this. I'm barely getting into Hellblade, but the game is awesome. Especially with headphones. And it looks beautiful. Looking forward for the second one. Will be buying Xbox Series X and this game day 1
