They played this song live at the 1991 Billboard's Awards (the band won an award for the song "Silent Lucidity") and It sounds practically like the studio version.
Yes, SPECTACULAR is the word! "Rain drops taste tears, without the pain." I love that both of you recognize and appreciate what a super fine band these guys were! How about doing: "Anybody Listening?" Or "Real World" ( written for the movie Last Action Hero.)
There brilliance is having a excellent singing two lead guitarists the switch off leads. Solid bass and top shelf drumming. You keep asking the same question what happened. Geoff can still sing pretty excellently even after singing those E5s but 7 years of 200+ plus date touring always takes a toll. In 97-98 Chris's daughter became his priority. The road was taken its toll on my levels so he stopped touring and became a part time pilot for corps and bands to eventually full time. Still wrote a few songs even then like Falling Behind on Tribe album in 2003/4. The true genius of Queensrÿche is there style changes every album but some people refuse to open there minds and actually listen to the meaning of those songs. I still 40yrs later go see Geoff and the band when they come threw mid west CO NM area. Still both versions don't disappoint the crowds. Salute my friends and Rÿche heads it been an amazing ride the RÿcheCampaign83 lives on! ❤Solid live 🎼🎶🎶❤
This was their last album i followed of theirs.. thou promise land hass a few great tracks on it. Their RAGE FOR ORDER album is my personal favorite. Then the warning... operation mindcrime.. e.p. queensryche.. love them!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍
nice react!! there's a song by Queensrÿche that I really like, called Anybody Listening?, it's a song that has really nice lyrics, without a lot of musical acrobatics! Hehehe
You 2 should consider doing an album reaction to their album Operation Mindcrime best concept album ever the story is as important today if not more so than in 1988
I grew up on Rock N Roll and soft metal from mid 70's and on. Queensryche was awesome back then during Operation Mindcrime and Empire albums, and Chris added so much to Tates vocals. And no, to those out there saying they were underrated. None of these bands were underrated. They made it and ruled the era. Even today their music has not been matched.
Great tune, has one of the best lyric lines in it, so poetic: "Strange how laughter looks like crying without sound, Raindrops taste like tears, without the pain"
Queensryche is a great band , and if you want to hear the greatest band ever . You need to check out Def Leppard's songs Animal , Armageddonit , Rocket , Pour Some Sugar On Me , Love Bites & Hysteria . They are the greatest because in 1984 they released an album & it got all the way to #2 in the world right behind Michael Jackson's Thriller . In December of that year they decided to take a break for the holidays & one of the band members had a near fatal car wreck . The band could've replaced him & kept on touring since they were working on another album . But the other 4 members of the band at the time put their own careers on hold until the other either came to them & said he couldn't do it anymore or he came back . After 3 years they released the album they were working on when their band member had his wreck . That album has done something that none of the Beetles albums have done . The album Def Leppard released in 1987 called Hysteria . Had 6 singles that were in the top 100 count down & the lowest ranked single from that album was the title track Hysteria which was ranked at #10 .
DeGarmo really was the glue of the band. After he left it was just a mess of ego and unfocused efforts. This was probably my favorite on Empire when it was released but I think Jet City Woman holds up better. I would suggest I Dream in Infrared off Rage For Order and the title track of Promised Land.
QR's first 5 albums are each amazing in their own right. But, then Geoff wanted to scale back to a softer sound. Chris DeGarmo (writer, guitar, vocals) decided to leave. The band had some shaky years and ultimately decided things weren't clicking with Geoff anymore so they split and QR got Todd LaTorre to replace him on vocals. With that, they went back to the heavier sound. The past 4 albums have been great. They have found a new groove and their latest release DNA is really good. Behind The Walls, Sicdeth, Tormentum, In Extremis, Lost In Sorrow & Nocturnal Light are my favorites. Enjoy them! They have a large catalog of music with varying musical styles and they often add sound effects to make things extra interesting. 😀

Yes! Queen of the Ryche, was a mind blower for teens back in 83.
...for teens and serious rock music lovers.......
They were the epitome of professionalism.

Only a few bands in my space, can bring it like Queensryche.
Empire is a brilliant album
Empire is a killer album! all of it!
Della Brown is one of their best and this band here is the origional line up.
I think this is the first time I've seen anyone mention Della Brown. You must be a fan.
I feel the heartache in this one!

Try "Road to Madness"..it starts slow like a ballad but it builds..
Glad to see you two again!
Great channel. Please keep it up!
👍👍
Thank you!

Queensrhyche has always been so underestimated. They are outstanding musicians!

Suite sister mary is probably the best work I've heard from them.
The Mission kicks some ass too!
"Roads To Madness" and "Anybody Listening?" are also interesting.

Awesome video guys thanks ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Take hold of the flame
A masterpiece love the melody this cd kicks ass such good production killer band need to do IS ANYBODY LISTENING is a good video
song is a good pick queensryche is such a powerful progressive metal band
The Lady Wore Black..... another great one of theirs. The Live one from this same tour is the best version IMO
I loved them, feel the pain!!!

There's another video of this song in color. Not sure if you've seen it. "Strange how laughter looks like crying with no sound'
We did see there was an alternate version but wasn't sure what the differences were.
@@AMusicianandaJerk Just a little more colorful...lol. some different characters in it. 30+ years ago. A whole other world. Miss it 😞
No rage for order?
dream in infared
Revolution Calling is a great song off of Operation Mindcrime.
The whole Empire album rocks.
It's not dueling guitars. A duel has a back and forth (call & response), these are harmonizing guitars which is way nicer imo.❤✌
Been a queensryche fan for almost 40 years and have never seen this video.
There are actually two.
There's another video they shot, and didn't use
Look up A.R.N. alt version
Empire is my sons favorite.
I think you'd love Walk in the Shadows.
That's some good shit huh?...
Check out the band Heavens Edge the song Play Dirty.
Who is the jerk?
Thanks. Mic issues?
Yeah most have had something wrong 😢

Good music & good vocals but thought the video was below par for a group of this stature.
Try somthing frome rage
The last good Queensryche album.
