Nice reaction! A couple responses to things you said.... First, that absolutely is Geoff whistling live.. (I've seen it many times and this was in 1984..before bands started using backing tracks). In addition to being one of the best singers I've ever heard, he's also one of the best whistlers! 😂 Also, it wasn't that QR wanted to be "more commercial", it was that they weren't happy with the engineering/sound of the first album (The Warning). That's why the next album that they recorded (Rage for Order) sounds so drastically different... but, definitely NOT mainstream or commercial. Anyway, love your honest reactions.

This song is more of a story....someone's Road to Madness. I think you would have enjoyed it more if you read the lyrics while playing. One of their most creative songs, in my mind.
