Are you serious? Your knees were acres from the seat in front of you. And the head space wasn't too bad either
He has a good two or three inches and plenty of head room, stupid comments but unsurprising.
My 6 foot son sat in the back confortably for 80 miles on the motorway!
He’s 5 foot 4, so he’ll complain for the people that are taller because he can’t for himself.
Hes just over 5ft 10 and has plenty of space, wtf lolol its an amazingly spacious back seat for such a small car.
Oh come on. There is plenty of space on offer, especially if you consider the competition. And anyway, you can't expect from a car this size to be as spacious as a VW polo. It simply can't ...
I got a sense of deja vu when he mentioned the steering being nice, light and direct with good feedback in contrast to the i10 for the second time in the vid.
To be completely honest as an overall package the picanto is probably better then the vw up/seat mii atlist in everything that comes to design, practicality and value for money. The only advantage the up has is its tsi engine. But how can i as a costumer trust a manufacturer which give me only 2 years of worrnty? It seems as if vw dont trust themselves that their cars are reliable... Its a big issue no one talks about in car review's
He mentioned it in the Range Rover Velar video last week if I remember correctly. I guess it's only mentioned if the Brand does poorly on their driver power surveys

you are reviewing a compact budget hatch do you expect it to have rear leg room of a limousine .There is so much leg room for this class for car .
'My knees are brushing against the front seat and headroom is tight' then shows he can fit his hands between his knees and seat plus showing loads of headroom.
Used to like your reviews but you seem to chat some rubbish recently. The Kia Picanto seems a decent car!

I purchased the GT Line S model in white and I am really pleased with it. It has loads of big car features, great build and really fun to drive. I have the 1.25 manual and it goes well if you do lots of long journeys it could do with some more power but short trips and around town its perfect. My last new car was a Golf GTI also in white and it was never noticed but everyone loves this car.
Why keep repeating the term city car? not everyone who buys a small car lives in a city. sometimes they buy a small car because that is all they need.

and the picanto has an impressive mileage capacity, you can easily travel with it.
I own this car. The stereo has 4 by 4 inch cones , which is unheard of, as nearly all cars have 6 inch cones. There are No tweeter speakers at all. I had the amplifier and speakers replaced and the car is appealing. The stereo fitter was impressed at the joins between the panels and said that the car was not made on the cheap. In Australia, the car has 4 stars safety as the pedestrian safety is only 4 stars, and Australia awards the same stars as the least scoring category. The car drives sure-footedly. The spare wheel is undersized which is a slight problem in the vast distances of Australia, where the spare limit speed of 80km/hr will cause stress on the highways. The steering wheel does not telescope out or adjust, so unless you have boxer length arms, the position may be a problem. All that aside, the car is a real surprise, and having replaced the audio amplifier and speakers, I am very pleased.

Rather have this then a crappy VW UP! Had a Seat Mii and it was absolutely shite in the winter.
Why are people are so obsessed with 'in car sat nav' you prorably pay 600 more for that thing which does a worse job if you could just buy a phone holder and install android auto on your smartphone .
Gooby Dolan I know what you mean but often the sat nav option brings a much improved screen/interface that can really lift the interior appeal.

I haven’t driven a picanto since I hired one on holiday in Spain like 8 years ago and it was the older 1.1, never driven one prior and being new to left hand drive it was quite nice to drive even on their higher speed roads to travel to other cities and at that time back in England I owned a 1.8 mg sports car so was a big change, was a pretty nippy car and very economical, never been in these new ones, but the GT-Line looks really cool, probably not suitable for 3 kids, but I wouldn’t buy a 2017 plate one due to tax increase, need the one from last year where it’s £20-30 for the year.
At least it doesn't have pop out rear windows like the up.

He's wrong about the auto 'box. It's a PROPER torque converter unit. Far better than the robotised units he recommends!
I would consider buying one with the body kit on it.I would want to wait for the 1 litre turbo engine though.

Back seats looks very spacious for a little city car. Boot space fantastic too. Not sure you know what you're talking a about.
I wish they would sell 3 door versions with no rear seats, just a large boot and perhaps more movement on the front seats.

tight for space?!I wonder if Kia have missed of bits of kit because their customer base claims not to want it (eg new Nissan Micra and lack of rear electric windows). Or in other words, penny pinching.The traditional automatic gearbox will prolly outlast a twin (or single) clutch automated system (eg, vw DSG or ASG).

Most grown-up Picanto to date, less lifeless than an i10, seems like a winner.
All the reviews use the GT Line which does not sell as it has very jostly 16" wheels and vinyl seats - yuk! And the styling is awful. Go for the 3 spec, which I have in automatic. Its a proper torque converter not an automated manual or dual clutch nightmare. Just great.
what's with the 16" wheels? I thought people love larger wheels?

Hi James I'm sorry that I was a little bit hard at you last time I comment. This time the review was soooo much better. I still think you are one of the better presenter. It could be that you take the car for what it is, if it is a cheep car you get alot of plastic ☺ and I agree that the 1 liter 3 cylinder turbo charge petrol engine is the right choice for any city car

Are you seriously going to say that your knees are "brushing up against the seat in front" ?! Name ONE car in the class that is more spacious that the Picanto! And even if there is, for the love of God, what do you expect?? It is a bloody CITY CAR. You really should be more realistic...
You can put all the racy body kits on it you want but at the end of the day, it's still a kia picanto.

Just had a 1.25 gt line as a rental, gearbox is a light slush box, steering is so light it’ll go on full lock if a feather lands on it and has zero feel. So much of this review doesn’t make sense after I just spent 24 hours and 200 miles with this thing.

I got the X Line and I am loving it. A bit pricier, true, but definitely worth the price.
No I prefer the 2 spec. The 3 has a touchscreen and bigger wheels that degrade ride quality.
