For me. I've bought a Kia Picanto 2018 It has a good reputation in my country. Last year it was the best car sold in the segment, and in general, the most car sold in the market. I wanted to buy the Hyundai I10, but the Kia dealership offered more safety accessories (Autonomous braking, mobileye system, LCD screen 7, etc.), an automatic car, 1.25 liters, sold around 23,500 US dollars, or 17,000 pounds.
I just bought a white Hyundai i10 Essential 1.0 MPi 67bhp from 2022 and here in Sweden it is the entry level model but still has all this as standard: 5 years warranty, 8" touchscreen with AppleCarPlay/AndroidAuto, Aircondition, Automatic-braking system, Laneassist, Cruisecontrol, heated steering wheel, heated seats, electric windows, electric adjustable mirror. Unfortunately it does not have parkingsensors but to be honest it is so small that i do not really need it and it was a bargain for €10.200 or £8750 from the dealer. Lightly secondhand that has been driven 13 000 km only. And I am super happy for that car.. Perfect in the city and even on the countryroads. I can easily fit 2 kids in the back 8 & 10 years old and they do not complain about the comfort, even though I am 193cm tall and the front seat is placed for my comfort they still have enough legroom. And it is amazingly cheap in petrol, around 4,5 liters per 100km in average. €40 in roadtax early and around €250 in insurance per year. Crazy cheap to run. It feels sturdy and comfortable. However yes plastic is hard. But so what? I am happy with my i10. I felt like it looked and felt better than the Picanto in some way I can not explain and also ironically KIA is more expensive in Sweden than Hyundai. Perhaps due to the 7 years of warranty but I mean it is the same company so I would assume they keep up the same level of quality both of them and in Sweden I rarely hear anyone complaining about the quality or saying anything bad about the KIA/Hyundai cars here. People who buy these cars are fairly economical people who wants to have a reliable and cheaper car to run and commute with. Kia is really big in Sweden. Kia Ceed sold more than the Volvo V70 once in a while.
I have it and it's brilliant, for 11000euro your ok for 12 years without serious problems, Kia it's value for money , it's true my 2010 Kia Soul know it!!!
i dont. wouldnt buy a car with touchscreen - fiddly and unsafe. these days most ppl have smartphones with nav. with this type of car, get the low spec model
It's not just the 7 Inch screen the trim 3 has rear sensors 15 inch alloys front collision avoidance assist climate control air con and folding mirrors
And you "FORGOT" PANDA! Best selling city car, and it's the most spacious, very cheap to buy and maintain... what it isn't is pretty that's what 500 is for, but 500 is a bit pricey...
Also, there is no trio from VAG, they are all exactly the same apart from the badge. And in this segment Skoda is by far the best deal, as it has all the space of up but without the price tag. 108/c1/Aygo are definitely the most attractive and feature filled.
Commentator541 ive had the Skoda and the engine sounded like a vacuum cleaner. Shame because it was a great riding, comfortable car. Aygo is a winner, it looks great, it handles superb and even though its only a 1 litre, its very quick and pulls like a bigger engine. Also, in manual version its quiet on the motorway and sits at 70 with no fuss, and wants to go a lot faster. Remarkable car.
Yes we agree great car , slow dealership. Paid for one 3 weeks ago , so we ring and ring email and email no reply. What should have been a great time is now turning bad.
I wish cars like this came to the United States...the crossovers that everyone buys here are driving up the cost of cars, and there's hardly anything affordable like this left.
I drive a swift and got a chance to drive a friend's picanto and i must say i was dissapointed. For a car with great reviews i thought the steering, braking , driving position and handling were rather average at best if not poor. It made me realize that even if a product is highly rated , you must personally experience it before purchasing.
Yep, rolls around too much in bends, just feels unsafe. The swift also has issues in other areas. If you want a small hatchback, going french is the best bet. The C1/108/Aygo is the best bet. Japanese engine, french styling and handling... perfect combination.
John Grytbakk Ive had two new Abarths, and I regret selling my last one three years ago. They are so different to anything else, you feel good in one, they sound awesome and feel a lot quicker than the numbers suggest. Superb handling and ride if you get the 595 T Jet version. Turismo far too hard for daily use. Get one if you can while they are still available, and prices are cheap.
The last shape i10 looks a bit better but apparently has rear disc brakes corrosion issues so Kia better choice. Both 1 litre and 1.25 are good on the motorway.
As a swift owner i found my friend's picanto bland to drive and cramped. The driving feel as well as the driving position are not what i expected from a car with such good reviews.
Very True David and that was part of the appeal--great value for money. However I can tell you that great deals are to be had if you push hard. I know someone who shopped around and got over £3,000 off a new one--yes, really!

Time for an 1.2l AMT GT line picanto review?? Please do mention that paddle shift would have been a great addition to the AMT technology because with tipronic it drives much better when accelerating (mostly like a manual). Always enjoy your reviews. I had ordered i10 initially but at the end I canceled and purchased picanto 2021 instead because picanto looks so much better. I enjoy better it's external and internal looks but also it's better build quality of materials used. Wish I could purchase a paddle shift upgrade kit to my D type steering wheel. The picanto 1.2l 4 cylinder 2021 AMT drivess without engine noise even whendriving at highway speeds. The 16" 195mm tyres look awesome. Always connect iPhone to carplay audio system and the 6 speaker sound is great and enjoyable. Multifunction Steering wheel comes with speed limiter and cruise control.

beware kias are shit, the 7 year warranty is shit, I bought a 2016 kia cerato automatic from kia blacktown nsw australia. withing a few days I noticed the automatic transmission was not working properly, the gears would not change when needed or would slip, going uphill is disgusting, the media unit (stereo, screen) switched itself off often or the volume would just disappear and the only way to fix that was to switch the car off. I don't like the stuffy self satisfied complacent image that German cars have given themselves. In Truth they are some of the most unreliable cars on the planet--I've had them but not anymore.
You get better MPG from the Picanto with a manual box. Manual box is less complex and thus less expensive to repair, something to consider if you intend to keep it past the warranty period.
Kia 3 does not have climate control just air con =. No CD player either, all digital streaming. Bad emission. If only Rebecca had gone to the toilet before hand it would have been more watchable, no squirming and that flat uninterested vocal tone is soul destroying.

I called and wrote again only to speak to a man called tony who lied to me over and over, he said I will investigate and will call you back, he never called me back so I went there, I could see his annoyance, spend a few hours there. now I will be going to fair trading. the service manager at kia blacktown is such a vile creature that he threatened me with the police only because I asked for my car to be fixed. a recalcitrant creature who nearly came to blows. disgusting creature from hell.
VW Up every time for me.
I don't like the stuffy self satisfied complacent image that German cars have given themselves. In Truth they are some of the most unreliable cars on the planet--I've had them but not anymore.
Blimey, Ms Jackson could take me for a drive anytime - she's divine 😊

what she said??
It's the 21st Century. Why put the weakest link, the driver, in charge of changing gears?
You get better MPG from the Picanto with a manual box.
Manual box is less complex and thus less expensive to repair, something to consider if you intend to keep it past the warranty period.

Being in the car business and not knowing how to pronounce Volkswagen is just embarrassing.
Its just a picanto 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Kia 3 does not have climate control just air con =. No CD player either, all digital streaming. Bad emission. If only Rebecca had gone to the toilet before hand it would have been more watchable, no squirming and that flat uninterested vocal tone is soul destroying.
roger bourne it does have climate control in trim 3
She seems to have attended the "Philomena Clunk School Of Hand Gestures" too.........But that's OK..............
I have disliked this and will continue to dislike what car videos with incorrect car year in the titles. Stop lying.
