Girl thank you for taking your time. My wife isn’t always with me and I end up cooking. I am grateful for the in depth steps, now I know how to cook rice. THANK YOU
Awhile back I got an instant pot, I watch the video about what accessories to get and not get. ( I have also some other peoples videos) and decided to go through my collection of 60+ years collection of cooking utilities plus inherited from my mother and grandmothers and have found I have a lot of things that will work with instant pot, maybe not pretty but useful. I also have combo Cuisinart toaster oven that I also found that I have useful utilities for. I bought you cookbook cooking for one. Thank you
Thank you. No matter what I did, I always ended up with a significant portion of my rice stuck to the bottom of the pot. These ratios and times left me with perfectly cooked rice that removed cleanly from the pot.
Thank you, this is an ideal reference video. I love rice, but haven't cooked it in the IP yet. Now I have the confidence and information to know I'll be able to do it right. I haven't found another video that covered so many different types of rice. I mostly use brown basmati rice as my everyday rice, but I do like to eat other kinds of rice, too.
I have the instant pot pro. It has a dedicated rice setting. A lot of people recommend just using the pressure cook setting. What do you recommend? It sounds like you recommend the pressure cook setting based on this video.
Hi thanks for this video. What's the difference quality wise between high pressure vs low pressure cooking of rice. There wasn't really an explanation why one is preferred over the other. Thanks in advance. I bought the rice rinser because you recommended it, cool accessory, we cook rice everyday.
Hello! You know that by now, rice cookers are almost an ubiquitous item in almost every college apartment kitchen in the U.S.. W/ the Instant Pot taking over successfully the rice cooking duty, would you recommend college students get Instant Pot for their dorm kitchens instead?
The instant pot is nice because you can use it to saute, boil, brown meat, bake a cake, hard boil eggs, all sorts of stuff. We couldn't use our oven or stove for a few weeks and I ended up figuring out how to make all sorts of things in it.
I just bought an Instant Pot but it hasn’t arrived yet (thanks Amazon… ), and have no experience cooking with one. I’m curious why you don’t use the “rice” setting instead of relying on the “manual” setting as in your videos.
6:46 pst All Asian should know the water to rice ratio, no matter how much rice. No measuring utensil involved. 😊😊 Jo Koy on How Rice is Everything: ruclips.net/video/bZRTt6vxJF4/видео.html After washing the rice until the water runs clear empty the water. Add water. Place the pad of your middle finger on top of the rice. Add water until it reaches the first joint line on the palm side of the hand. Works every time.
My original instant pot cooked everything perfectly for years, we finally needed to get a new one after our original started failing continuously. Our new one gives burn notices on ALL our tried and true recipes. It is so confusing!
I refused to use my ip for rice because making it on the stove is so easy but I finally started it this way because I don't have to pay attention to it at all until it's done. With little kids interrupting me, I have to worry about it boiling over or burning on the bottom because I got distracted by a minor emergency.
Hello. Love the Channel. You got me to buy a insta-pot, so your my follow. Sorry to ask a question here about your cook book. 🥰How to I double the recipes for one to 4. Thank You. Keep doing what you do
Why do the Instant Pot recipes on RUclips vary so much on time? One recipe says 2 minutes and another will say 35 minutes for the same food. How do we figure out which one is correct? I still haven't had a good chicken from the Instant Pot because of this. Thank you.
You know .. just too confusing. Too many variables. Takes too long. Too fussy. Noisy.... get yourself a rice cooker or just do it on stove top. Yes, I've tried all 3 methods. I'll stick with a dedicated rice cooker.

Per your recommendation of the rice washer, I received mine today. It's pretty nice and feels pretty durable. Thank you.
Oh thanks so much! I followed your instructions and my rice came out perfect!
An excellent video, thank you for the tips

Was just talking to my Hubby about mastering rice in the IP. Perfect timing for this video!

You have an awesome channel! Thank you so much! 😊

Great video! I also have this rice washing basket and I love it!

Where can I get your rice paddles?
Love your channel ❤👩🏻🍳 I use long grain parboiled rice. How much water and time should I use?

Thanks for the video. Do your cooking times apply to the 3qt/lt Instant Pot too?
Your videos are always informative and helpful. Do you have one for pot in pot rice?
What's npr and how to do it? Do you mean leave it in the pot without opened it?
Yes, that’s what an npr is.
Can instant pot duo 5.7Litre cook 2kgs of rice at once???
If you’re adding stock or broth is that in place of the water or along with the normal water to rice ratio? Thanks!
In place of water. More flavorful.
What's the time for medium grain rice
I have been using the 'Rice' automatic program of the instant pot, is that okay?
Yes, also steam or pressure/manual works too.

Ease of use.
Thanks for this video
My question is how to keep rice nice soft and moisture for next day? Thanks
Steam the leftovers.
what is the best way to reheat rice

Which instant pot do you use?

With 10 mins warm up, 3 mins cooking and 10 mins release time, doesn't this take longer than doing it on the stove?
I thought the same thing until I made rice in mine…best rice I’ve ever made even over my smaller rice cooker…

3 mins high pressure, 10 rest. 1 cup rice, 1 1/4 water. Thanks

Use recipes from people who actually cook. If you tell me the type of chicken, I'll tell you the time. Tip : Less is more.
Doesn't matter time , washing , lube ,or fluffing the rice always sticks to the pot unless you spend $200 on a kush rice cooker
Here's a hard Question: Why does Instant Pot give a Pre-Set Rice setting if No one uses it or it's a wrong setting ?
so dont use the RICE button on the pot?
Same question. So confusing to see the RICE button but telling us to press the pressure button.😂😂😂
Bacon fat instead of ghee and butter
this video gives an impression that rice is not fast to prepare.

Oh geez!
Agreed. I haven't been able to make instant pot rice that's nice and fluffy like even the cheapest rice cooker.
