This EASY and CHEAP Method is perfect for my Crew Cab Project!!! With this new method, I can finish my truck in a weekend!!! HAHAHAHA Great Episode Mike! Love the "Color Blending" HAHAHA ROCK!
Mike this is old school and too complicated, at A-1 used cars and O-K used cars they just stuff the hole with newspaper put the tape carefully over the holes and painted it, saves a lot more time and no foam to bother with you can be done in about 15 minutes🤠🤠
Worked in body shops… Seen it all. Definitely. Had a 57 Chevy that the bottom of the doors were all built with spray foam like this. Lol. it brought all rot. What a mess.
Well at first I thought you had been watching other yuck tub videos to sharpen your skills. Thanks for the great laughs for this April 1st 😂🤣👍🏼 Sadly this is the kind of bodywork that was popular for used car lots in the 80s
The stiffer metal duct tape across the hole provides a flatter, almost sand free surface, when pulled off. Wading in against it rock hard kitty hair fiber reinforced bondo provides almost structural integrity too. Just peel off the metal tape, when dry and you'll have minimal sanding before you can spray bomb away. A real craftsman will set the L brackets into the kitty hair and let it dry, providing the tabs you'll need to attach the fender. Kidding aside had a friend who did his girlfriend's Tercel's hatchback lid your way and got her through her first degree at uni. For those who cannot weld "we deride you!" Malcolm Ottawa Valley
@@MyKARSShop ha ha. No you're just not a true hack. No welder would use kitty hair the way a true hack does. Had some long rust holes along the narrow door bottoms of a cheap beater DD Mirada more than 30 years ago. On the road for $300.00 including purchase price. Wire brushed and naval jellied the door bottoms( not the outer skins, they were fine). Then metal duct taped the bottoms, reached into the doors(panels off) and stuffed the marglass into the holes from above. It dried in half an hour. Ripped off the metal tape, leaving a perfectly smooth surface. Light dusting of undercoating and the mechanic(salt country)gave me thumbs up and my safety approval. The repair didn't re rust the entire time I owned it. Ain't proud of it, but nobody sees door bottoms.
@@malcolmhamilton5200 You gotta do what you gotta do. At the end of the day, as long as we’re not trying to pass it off as a show car. If it works… Can it Really be wrong? Lol I did similar things 40 years ago.
As good as new. That was good, but anyone who knows your work ethic knew you were having some fun right off the top. Thanks for the laughs and get some rest.
The car needs to be color sanded & wheeled so I wasn’t concerned. L O L but I appreciate your observation. Thank you so much for watching, I hope you’re enjoying the channel. There is a whole Lotta content here.
😂😂😂. Thanks so much for watching. There definitely is a bunch of real serious fabricating & repair stuff on the channel. But I was in the mood to have some fun.😂
Dr. Blast approved ? Inquiring minds want to know...good one Mike
Dr Know-it-all would've dry ice blasted first. That's the only difference. 🤣
My guess is this work was done with too much perfection for him to comment on. 😂😂
And surgical precision!!
@@markparker5788 you know doing the stuff doesn’t have to be like pulling teeth
Similar to the old newspaper and bondo technique I used back in the 80's! Happy April 1!
We all did stuff back in the day…
L O L necessity was the mother of invention. 😂😂
Perfect. I think I "got it" long before the "big reveal," but it was still satisfying to watch!
😂😂😂

April Fools to you sir. Nice instructive work!!! Cannot wait for the next class to post.
My next one will be hard to paint any car with a paintbrush for under $20. 😂😂
Bro had me questioning my own knowledge up until the end 🤣
😂😂 thanks for watching. It was a fun episode to do.
The #Aprilfoolsday kinda gave it away instantly 😆.
You would be one of the very few people that actually read the hashtags or pay attention. Lol
Super glue on the bottom of the fender would keep it cleaner. No screw heads show
Superglue. That’s a great idea. I was thinking about just putting a bungee cord from the bottom of one fender to the bottom of the other. 😉
I know this woman who tried to use drywall mud for Bondo trust me it doesn't work
😂😂😂
You really could have done that right, if you would have media blasted it😂😂😂😂😂 that's a good joke for ya! Lmmfao
OMG!!! 😂😂😂😂
You just made my day brother. 😂😂

Hahaha haha!! I've seen something like this done somewhere before I believe.....nice work Mike!!!!
Think we’ve all seen this kind of work

You got that right. I’ve seen more than my fair share of this kind of stuff. It definitely brings all the rot in a couple of years.
LOL good aprils fool gag!!
When I saw the foam I knew it was a fake that stuff absorbs water like a sponge!!
LOlo thanks for the laugh!!
You’re very welcome. Thanks so much for watching. 😂😂
Hope you enjoy the channel. 😎

Metal duct tape! Of course! What was I thinking. Once again I’m just settling for mediocrity. 😂😂

I would have done it exactly the same way except I would have used rust converter before foaming. L.O.L. April fools!
😂😂😂😂
Sometimes we just have to look at it as weight reduction 😂
Absolutely! Better for racing. Faster, better, stronger… We can rebuild it. 😂😂
