Any day someone fixes on an old car is a good day and if you can do it for zero dollars it's an even better day!😊👍 Keep those Gems on the road! Great video!
You really made me smile today. Most folks time laps the process or just shows you before and after, but not you... Loved it! What made me smile was remembering working on old cars over 40 years ago. We didn't have zip cutters or mig/tig welders. Hell, plastic filler was new back then! Just wanted you to know just how easy it is now a days to fix up that old heap of yours. Love your channel and thanks for the memories.
1967 I worked in a Ford garage, I remember seeing a local car that I never forgot. A red 65 Biscayne two door post, front end was cranked up, probably with twist in spacers it was a 396 with a three on the tree, loved that car.
This is going to be a good 1 Dan 👍 I still think that you should show it with 3 doors lol would make a great video getting the look on people's faces when they catch it
I cannot believe you do not have more subscribers. I enjoy all of your content and I learn something every time I watch a video. Only thing I could suggest for your videos is maybe a little more affection thrown Dani's way. Take care of your home..................
Well, Dan I see you doing your favorite thing, body work. I just think that you show anyone that it just depends on how much you want to put in to the repair how it will turn out. You do a great job of explaining how you are going about it and what you how to achieve in the end. Thanks so much for sharing. Can't wait for the two door conversion. Have a great day 👋
Yes ! Definitely want to see the two door conversion. There's actually still a fair amount of four doors to be found down here in the states , and there a bit cheaper and generally less beat.
Always a bonus when you can use metal from previous projects. I've got a corner of my garage filled with off cuts for this purpose. Panels have become quite a bit more expensive over the past few years gotta save where ya can. Nice work!
I hadn't done this stuff before recently either. You just start in and do it and you realize how fun and easy it is! Way easier than you'd suspect. Very time consuming though, so you better enjoy it. All it takes is just cutting out a section and tacking a new one in and your confidence will suddenly go right through the roof and the next thing you know, you're patching every rust spot you can find and loving every minute of it. You just have to start. It's all it takes.
Looks awesome from my house Dan. Lol Another good video, as usual. Simple yet functional. Better than rust holes for sure. Totally enjoy the channel Dan. Always makes me look forward to the next video. Keep On Keeping On Brother!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Your metal work is the best. (Pure Butchery at its finest) and that is a compliment. Love it !keep up the good work. I especially like your metal bender. I can't wait to see you turn this baby into a two door.
love your work and low budget way. I know a guy that cut up an old washing machine and made floor panels for his project. I love low buck because it is so creative.
There's no doubt in my mind you can do it. But this was an awesome video very informative and direct hands on instruction. You're years of experience and just plain doing it definitely show.
Also, one thing I love about this vintage or 3-4 years earlier, is that the wagons came with manual trans 283s and up and notched front bench seat for the tall floor shifter.
GOOD MORNING GUYS YOUR SHOW MADE ME MOVE BACK HOME START WORKING ON ALL MY OLD CARS AN BIKES AWESOME MY 1978 OLDSMOBILE CUTTLAS SUPREME AN 1996 CADILLAC ELDORADO ETC MY 1953 PONTIAC PLUS few OLD HONDA MOTCYCLES GOT THEM ALL GOING LOOKING AT REBUILDING THE OLD'S INTO SOMETHING FAST AN REALLY CLASSIC BUT SUSPENSION top of list THANKS DAN KEEP SMASHING IT
I'm literally making a video doing the same thing right now. fixing rusty rockers with rusty rockers for free. stopped for a break and your video was the first one to pop up.
Your videos are incredible. You've really developed skills over the years. Enjoyed following along for quite awhile, finally just saying Thanks for the great videos. I love Biscaynes , I once owned a beautiful 2 door 62. I had to part with it,no room to store it safely. Had to choose my 67 Malibu convertible above it. There's something too awesome about Biscaynes.
I'm doing a 90's Jimmy for a guy at work. True Michigan rustbucket renovation. He gave me old washing machine metal to create patch panels with. Additionally gave me 2 fenders fron 2 completely different vehicles to cut from to patch the wheel wells and lower panels. It took a lot of work, but it looks really good now. Not factory. But pretty darn good. That's how you work on no budget
0 dollars for metal your time 0 dollars 25 dollars for little bit of Argon Solid patch panel priceless. Looks good to me. the pie cut you made and swooping up toward bumper made all the difference.
I had a 1969 VW Standard. The package tray and firewall were Swiss cheese. You could push your finger through either one, and it was like paper. Anyways, I used steel shelving I had salvaged when the shop I worked at was demo-ing a storage area. It was heavier gauge than the VW sheet metal, and it worked a treat.
Hey Dan , idea for the wheel arch ,,, how bout' ya radius the well ,,,,, build a 4dr "gasser" biscayne .,, hmm😎 ..... I know ya just spent $$ on the front suspension , so maybe some different springs in the front just to raise it a little , and a cpl of lowering blocks in the back ....... A family gasser .....sweet
Measure twice cut once with this door conversion it may be a little more to it the the Tri Fives ,But you can make it happen ,can;t wait to see how this come out ! All the best Dan ,go for it !!!!!!!
Awesome videos you do what has to be done without over complicating people think everything has to be perfect and so don't do anything at all keep these great cars on the road great job
Hi it's running Ontario I really enjoy your work and the cars that you work on I like to see old model cars brought back to some kind of stock rather than a hot ride and your work is excellent thank you
The first comment I made was how long before the two door conversion lol, I'm very glad you're doing it brother and i know you're gonna make it look awesome 👍👍👍👍👍✅✅✅✅✅
That's because sedans are lame. Coupes are cool. classic hot rodding 101. Just the way it is. 4 door cars are family cars dude. Always have been, always will be.
Yea man thats gunna be a mean 2 door with the big block. They go for big money when a factory race car. Someones gunna get a nice toy. Im looking forward to the sound of those headers. Good one Dan!
We are spoiled out here in AZ, where rust is very minimal, and panels are rarely replaced. My 64’ Chevelle project has very little rust and I complain about fixing it lol.
Good job dan that's the way I do it to. It just takes a little time. But you will get this is why you are getting more followers because alot of people doing the same way me and you do it. We don't have alot of money for high dollar tools we make it work. That's why people loves your work. A poor man way that's kool as hell dan red Winstead from Mississippi. Love your videos

Well said
Cool job !Inspiring me to cut and fuck around with mine!Cheers Geezer
Some of the most rewarding viewing is watching Dan making, and fitting these patch panels.
Check out Carter Auto restyling.
I'm with you
Dan, I think that you and Scott from Cold War Motors should get together and do a build.
2 door--YES-YES-YES!!!!!!
Amazing how comfortable you are doing this work. Looking forward to the next phase, 2-door conversion!! Cheers!!
You are back in the groove, Dan. I live to watch you do metal work, so I don't have to go out and do metal work.
You really made me smile today. Most folks time laps the process or just shows you before and after, but not you... Loved it! What made me smile was remembering working on old cars over 40 years ago. I cannot believe you do not have more subscribers. I enjoy all of your content and I learn something every time I watch a video. Only thing I could suggest for your videos is maybe a little more affection thrown Dani's way. Take care of your home..................
Can't wait to see the 2-door version!
Fitzee would be impressed with your methods

Well you made that look pretty easy Dan. I wish I had your same confidence. Thanks for the video, looking forward to the next one

My '1970 knee Bender is kinda worn out from when I was younger breaking sticks and limbs over it. It'll catch up with you when your older.
Watching you patch panels is what gave me confidence to patch my floor and honestly came out great.
Oil spraying would fix the rust in such places, fluid film etc
This thing will be worth a pretty penny when you turn it into a 2 door it will be a very desirable car You really do excellent work Dan
Solid work Dan. looking forward to the 2-door conversion, that will be awesome.
Dan the machine never stops
Looks awesome from my house Dan. Lol Another good video, as usual. Simple yet functional. Better than rust holes for sure. Totally enjoy the channel Dan. Always makes me look forward to the next video. Keep On Keeping On Brother!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

That's funny, I just did the same thing because that's what I was given to fix the vehicle😂
Awesome 😀👍🏻 it's your project so you can do what you want to it 😀👍🏽😂

There's no doubt in my mind you can do it. But this was an awesome video very informative and direct hands on instruction. You're years of experience and just plain doing it definitely show.
I'm just going on a little D D Speed Shop video wormhole here and I'm enjoying every second of it.
Liking the 2 door conversion idea. Stripper Biscayne 2 door with a big block. Yes please
Also, one thing I love about this vintage or 3-4 years earlier, is that the wagons came with manual trans 283s and up and notched front bench seat for the tall floor shifter.
Zero dollars beats thousands of dollars any day and looks good too ☺️ great video
Ha! You were gonna do a 2-dr conversion from the time you got this!
Awesome Dan, excited to see the conversion.

Dan, thanks for the video, I’ve had a rough week and this made my day.
Lol. :) Thank you for sparing me months of therapy and counseling by painting the metal first, 😆, I love it man, hahaha!
I'm literally making a video doing the same thing right now. fixing rusty rockers with rusty rockers for free. stopped for a break and your video was the first one to pop up.

Definitely better than buying quarter panels. And free is always in the budget! Thank you for sharing Dan !
Buy the patch pane for the wheel arch. The fender patchers were low budget perfection.
Turn that crew cab ito a 2 door.

You make it look easy:)
Looking good, new metal for old . Rock that Impala
Hi it's running Ontario I really enjoy your work and the cars that you work on I like to see old model cars brought back to some kind of stock rather than a hot ride and your work is excellent thank you
Great video. It's how I did the quarters on my 62 Comet. But only because they don t exist. Turned out ok. Nothing a bit of Bondo can't fix.
The first comment I made was how long before the two door conversion lol, I'm very glad you're doing it brother and i know you're gonna make it look awesome 👍👍👍👍👍✅✅✅✅✅
Great episode! Thanks for the tips, looking forward to the rest of the changes. Cheers.
Man this is one I was hoping would stay a 4 door. I had an old 4 door nova and loved it so much. Miss that car more than anything. 4 doors get no love
That's because sedans are lame. Coupes are cool. classic hot rodding 101. Just the way it is. 4 door cars are family cars dude. Always have been, always will be.
Very good job partner looks good great video man your friend and biggest fan North Georgia Mike 🇨🇦🇺🇲👍
FWIW- I had a '69 Biscayne and L60-15s fit nicely inside the rear wheelwells.
You give hope to new car restorators...Great job!
Yea man thats gunna be a mean 2 door with the big block. They go for big money when a factory race car. Someones gunna get a nice toy. Im looking forward to the sound of those headers. Good one Dan!
Flair out the wheel wells
I’m sure it’s a little worn out by now. 😀
Dan, 2 door qtr skins might be a better way to go. It would take care of the rust and welding in the back doors. They might not be that expensive.
I literally just did this on my 66 4 door Caprice. Rear quarter, c pillar, trunk, front door and the entire lower window chanel. Nice work.
I have mid 50s versions of that tool. ;-)
Can’t wait to see the two door conversation.
Yes please! A two door conversion sounds perfect!
I just love how you make things work .thumbs up for the both of you.
Those hand made panels are art.i love making my own patch panels .something almost spiritual about it lol
We are spoiled out here in AZ, where rust is very minimal, and panels are rarely replaced. My 64’ Chevelle project has very little rust and I complain about fixing it lol.
11:01 if you look closely on the spot he's working on it looks like an art project I see a mustang 2+2 fastback lol and a few more cars
Hey man your the king of 2 door conversions, i say do it, itll look way better afterwards
2 door is always worth more money even cloned. You go big man I’m still watching. I do the same things, build and drive. It works and pays.
Worth more perhaps if the vin tag says it was a factory 2-door. Clone a GTO and see if you get genuine GTO money.
Convert it . Can't wait to see it!
Excited about another 2 door conversion
Dan you make it look easy. Inspiring.
2 door conversions are your thing. Can’t wait to see how it comes out.
Dan is out of vacation mode and back to jamming 🤟💪 good stuff brother can't wait to see the two door conversion and the motor build 👌
Always down for a 2 door convertion lol. Good stuff keep up the good work in the heat
Your a wizard Dan, very inventive and budget friendly! Gonna be cool for sure when ur cruisin a 2dr big block....nothin finer!!!!
That sure is a sick looking welding helmet looks like something you'd see in the video game Halo
I want to see you chop this thing up, go for the 2 door conversion. I'm sure you'll make it look much better than it does now.
Nice job on the patch for the old chevy
Will be ok for a back yard hotrod
Can't wait to see the 4to 2 door work !!
