I'm about to start building a new track myself, trying to figure out how to make more track space in a longer skinny room by creating a second level of track. Have you had any experience with building or driving tracks with elevation changes & transitions?
Not really, but I'm betting those skateboard ramp skills I learned when I was a kid would come in handy. :) post it up when you get done, id love to see it.
Are u familiar with drift smoke exhaust kits? I bought one and I didn’t realize it connected to the balance lead on a LiPo pack. I don’t run a LiPo battery, is there another way to power it?

What’s a good lane width?
Mine are 42 inches because I was still running CS cars when I made it. 36 would probably be good for RWD.

I would just switch to lipo, way easier than coming up with another solution.
Can I buy some curbing
