And 350f oven. This info wasn’t in his site 😢 i had to rewatch the video to find out the temperature
Thanks 😘
John, just made this. Fabulous. Love the crunchy topping. It was still a little too wet for me so I baked an additional 10 minutes. You were not kidding about the batter; so good.
Same for me. I left mine for a total of 60 min in the oven. I feel its depends on the oven ☺️🤤 so yummy
Absolutely delicious, John! Had three yellow nectarines that needed a great recipe to come along, and yours was amazing! Used turbinado sugar before baking, and powdered sugar dusting after, and served slightly warm with fresh strawberry compote and whipped topping (trying a provide non-dairy) and it was amazeballs! Your efforts are much appreciated, thanks!
My niece and I made this today. It turned out great! Thank you for the good recipe. We made a slight change: 2 tsps vanilla and 1 of almond extract. Next time I will add a half more cup of peaches. This recipe is a keeper! Thank you so much!
Excellent peach cake. Peaches are delicious and in season and the cake hit the summer sweet spot-moist and light. I used whipped cream for serving.
This cake with some ice cream will be divine 😍!
Hello John. I made this cake and it quickly became my very favorite. My husband loves it as well. I really enjoy watching you create these beautiful masterpieces. Thank you for all your wonderful recipes. By the way, I bought your book and it is fantastic!
John cake peach eggno butter no milk no
I made this today. The recipe says peeled however I watched the video like 5 times. I left the peel on. So Delicious.. Preppy Kitchen I’m Baking in 107 degree weather here in Fresno😊.
I want to make this when the Colorado peaches are in season later this summer, it looks delicious!
Thank you! Will make this for my m-i-l to have with her hazelnut coffee tomorrow morning! With whipped cream, of course!
Congratulations for 3M subscribers
Just made this recipe, it is in the oven now! Cant wait to taste the finished product!!!
Made this today and it was delicious! Will definitely make it again
Made it let’s see the result.. i Trieste so è or your recipe and the results were fantastic.. thank you sooo much
Hi John: This recipe looks terrific. I am looking forward to making it. Before I do, can I ask you to please clarify whether you use the peaches with the skin on or peel them first. In the written recipe it says to peel them, but, on the video it appears you made it with the skin on. I want to make it right so will appreciate your help with this. Thanks in advance for taking the time to send a response.
It turns out so perfect and it really looks delicious! I enjoyed watching and I will try to cook your recipe.
Thanks!
I am definitely making this! Thank you John for all of your delicious recipes. They have given me my baking mojo back!! I do have to make everything Gluten Free because I have celiac, just swapping out the flour for GF.
I do have one question: I almost only have Kerry Gold butter on hand (because it's the most delicious), does this make a difference in baking? Thanks again!
Same here! Celiac who loves baking!
I made this recently and it was fantastic!
Beautiful wonderful Lovely ❤
It looks so good I'll make for Sunday
I noticed you didn’t use your cake sleeves when baking this one! Is that because it rises evenly in the oven? I’m curious! Great recipe, John!
John…could you use tinned peaches drained? This looks so good!! 🍑
نعم يمكنك استخدام الخوخ المعلب ولكن نكهة الخوخ الطازج افضل وألذ كما أن الفواكه المعلبة اشياء مصنعة يفضل ان نبتعد عنها حفاظاً على صحتنا
Lordamercy, somebody git me mah fan and glassaicetay! ❤️ Beautiful!
Thanks a lot for your precious recipe
Made this today! Can't wait to try! Thank you! 🍑 🍑 🍑
Literally right at the part that said “try not to snack on the peaches” I had just eaten two slices 😭😭
اول مرة اشوف قناتك و عجبتني اوى طريقتك هاجربها ❤️❤️❤️
Looks so yummy! I just watched your blueberry cheesecake video! And it looked amazing!
Trying it now! Thank you 👍
Wow great job you doing 👏
I love watching your videos. What video editor do you use? Your videos are so bright and clear. TIA
Hi ! Can I put the mix into the fridge, and bake it the next day ?
OMG Drooling 🤤🤤
Delicious 🤤
Thank you! 🍑
Me gustaría que des tus recetas escritas como muchas personas lo asen Grasias
I just picked up some fresh Georgia peaches.... that I slice and freeze to bake with. I have family coming for a visit next week, so I will be making this cake!!💖
John, did you peel your peaches? it looked like they might have had their skin on!
He did not peel them. I don’t like the skin so I’d peel them although it’s messy and a pain.
@@coastalmaine Yes, I peel them too. Although, I don’t know if I can get pretty slices for the top without the skin!
Can we substitute by using apple?
Amazing
Please what can I use to replace peach , because there's no peach in where I live , thank you for the wonderful work you are doing
Any stone fruit would work really well in this cake recipe :)
Just came across this video. Question...the peach doesn't have to be peeled? How did the skin taste once baked? I ask because I've seen many recipes with peeled peaches.
Could I make this cake in a springform pan ?
Is this possible with just a regular whisk?
can i use buttermilk to replace eggs in the recipe?
Hi. Why do you use granular sugar and not caster sugar?
Hi. I need some help. Plz tell me why my cake is dense .. it isn't crumbly but cooked . It seems like there is a thick doughy layer at the bottom but when toothpick inserted it comes out clean. Plz guide where am I wrong
Que rico 😋
Almond extract, too???
How about with other fruit?
If i cant find sour cream what can i use instead?
Can I use apples in this recipe?
Oil works fine as substitute of butter ??
I have made this cake three times, as there is a farm right here in the town where I live that has their own peaches this time of year. Everyone agrees, this cake is a total winner! I add 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 30g crystallized ginger cut into small pieces. Amazing cake! Thank you, John! 🧡
Oh, wow, ginger and cinnamon idea is great... I will try....
Girlfriend vegan butter no milk no eggs no
This is my go to recipe
for this summer 🍑❤️
Can anyone help: I made this cake and it came out where the fruit is a little wet. Idk what I did wrong or is that normal. I’ve never had a peach cake 😬
It is a very moist cake, I bake it for the full 45 minutes. Your oven may need a minute or so longer. You could pat the peaches dry before mixing them in, if there is excess juice. Hope this helps.
@@RosemarieWilliams-c8h thank you so much will try it again. 👍🏽
Remember, stone fruits like peaches play well with a touch of almond extract.
Mine took an hour and 10 minutes before the center baked but it tasted AMAZING! Fresh peaches is THE way to go.
I made this tonight for my hubby and he loved it! This is a great peach cake - a simple but impressive dessert. John Kannel's recipes haven't failed me yet! Thank you, John!
May I ask if you bake it in the middle or middle lower of the oven? Thank you!🙏🏻🙏🏻
I’m always not sure about it, seems like it all depends on the cake..
Can this recipe work with apples?
Ok so I must be the only person that has subscribed solely because I want to be near your incredibly warm and loving energy. The kindness and sweetness that you exude fills up a room. Thank you for being your authentic self. It is inevitable that you will succeed in your endeavours.
Much gratitude and love to you.
Totally agreed ! John is such a genuine person who is enthusiastic about what he does !
Seasonal food recipes are the best❤️Thank you for the recipe, John!🙏🏻❤️
SO Glad you like them!
My husband thinks I’m a baking genius (thanks to your channel) John. This was and is one amazingly great recipe! Appreciate your excellent instructions.
My neighbor will be 94 on 8/27/22, loves peaches, and I now know what deliciousness I shall prepare. Cannot wait to make this, JC. THANK YOU!
I enjoy watching your videos.
This one is perfect. Except, I would reduce the sugar for health reasons.
Can't wait to try.
Thank you so much.
Wow! You made it look so simple and irresistible to make🤤, I have to give it a try.. always a pleasure to watch you create these beautiful yummy recipes!!🥰
Thanks so much 😊
If I could buy peaches as fresh as yours I would try to make this cake, sadly peaches in my part of the U.K. are like golf balls and tasteless. Fruit markets have all but disappeared leaving us with supermarkets. 🇬🇧
Hi John, you won’t believe this, I got some peaches the other day, let my husband (who is also called John!) taste some and he said "they’d taste much better in a cake!" So thanks to you I now can! Will definitely make this…..Love your channel John….thank you! Xx 🇬🇧💕xX
You have really simplified cooking. I can do this and I love it! If you had been my math teacher, I bet I wouldn't have had to take one class twice.
6:03 I thought you were going to say “this is a master-PEACH” 😄
baked the cake today..fingers crossed! it's cooling now!!! was a bit confusing to watch your video and see you slicing the unpeeled peaches and it appears from your video that you did NOT peel them, however, in the full recipe description it says to peel them..
Why wouldn’t you ever eat cake batter? That’s almost the best bit…cooks perks!
Raw eggs
I just put one of these in the oven. 1) I forgot to stir in the peaches so I just pushed them into the cake batter, 2) I have no idea where my 9” cake pans are so I used 8”. Other than that, we shall see…
It’s a gorgeous cake! I like the idea of a single layer cake. I just bought two boxes of peaches! I can’t wait to try this. Thanks for sharing this with us!
Yay! Hope you enjoy Hillary!🍑✨🍑✨🍑
@@PreppyKitchen Thank you! I can’t wait to get your cook
book! I just made your yellow cake yesterday for my daughter’s birthday. Delicious! I used to bake all the time & just haven’t been able to recently. You are inspiring me!
I regularly make this cake (using canned peaches) because it's great to take for lunches, picnics etc. It never disappoints & transports well. Definitely a favourite now!
Simple and delicious. Is so Sad that in Brazil is so hard to find peaches where I live. The seasonal fruit here, in Ceará, are mangos. You are amazing John, thanks for the recipes.
I would try it with mangoes.
But you as SO luck you have mangos! They're known as the queen of fruit!
Use mangoes instead. Probably more delicious than peaches especially in Brazil.
@@phillyjourney i will. Mangoes are juicy, and I Love It. When i try, i'll give you my impressions
@@phillyjourney It's true, mango cake must be amazing
Wonderful recipe and another yummy method for my students to learn English while baking a cake. Thanks a lot! 🌺
Oh I love that!! Thank you!
@@PreppyKitchen best teacher ever! 🤩
You would never eat cake batter ..?
This looks soo good. Ive had a No Oven Rule since its been 105⁰ near everyday since June. But I think I have to make an exception 🤤
I use a good toaster oven in the summer! It saves energy. I bake/roast almost any food, roasted veg, cakes, scones, fish etc.
@@nancygreen3962 thats a good idea & my birthday is coming up, im going to give some not so subtle hints to get one 😆
Lovely recipe, delicious and succesful just like all of your recipes are, dear John. As an European, I really appreciate your inclusion of metric measurements, it makes everything so much easier. I expected the peaches to be the star of the cake but I am quite astonished by the tastiness and fluffiness of the cake itself. My only mistake was baking this in a ceramic dish -it took over 50min to bake, and I was too impatient to wait for it to cool down before flipping it, so the cake broke apart 😂 my fault for not using baking paper. Either way, thank you for sharing these foolproof recipes!
So you don’t have to peel the peaches? Or did I miss something?
I love you channel so much!!!! Yum. I want to make this! You have inspired me to start baking! I am a kid and I love baking! Thank you for this amazing recipe!!! 😀😃
You are so welcome! Happy Baking! 🍑✨
Looks great John! The peach cake would be great to take to some gathering. 👍😄
It does transport VERY easily! Thank you! 🍑✨🍑✨🍑
Anyone else having a almost burnt top following the same recipe and time and temp? Or do ovens get hotter as it ages?
You explain things so nicely ❤️❤️❤️
Easy Recipe, Beautiful Cake 🍑🎂🍑
Don’t not take this out the pan before 30 minutes. I could not wait, lol. I did and the bottom was a little crumbled. But, once you sliced it you didn’t know. This cake was so delicious, it was perfect, thank you.
We made this and it's now our favorite cake. It's really the best cake we've ever had.
It looks so delicious looking. I love peaches 🍑. Any advice on getting the perfect peach? Could you make a homemade whipped cream for the cake? Please. Thank you for sharing and keep on caking 💜
Ooh, homemade whipped cream on top of this cake sounds delicious. Thank you for sharing your ideas! 💜
I saw your video and was making this cake in a minute. Our plum tree was over abundant this year and I needed another way to use them. I’m sure my guests at dinner tonight will love it. I’ve never been disappointed by a John Kannel recipe
My suggestion:
On top of the same amounts,
ADD ½ A CUP of almond powder
Plus 2 table spoons Cognac or Brandy. Peaches just LOVE brandy!
And the almond would lift up the volume and texture
I ADD 1 teaspoon of baking SODA as well
The batter looks too moist, but it sets beautifully
45 to 55 minutes baking.
Happy cookin'!!
Mm
So good! Perfect time of year for this!
It really is! LOVE Peach season!!! 🍑✨
Perfect time of year! Yum! I love peaches!
So good!🍑✨🍑✨🍑✨
Amazing indeed! My whole family loved it so much, and it was devoured in two days. Fluffy yet dense, an incredible recipe! Thank you John!!🍰🌺
I love watching you make all of these amazing recipes, especially the cake recipes. Thanks for sharing your skills with us.❤️
I bought 2 cases of fresh peaches for canning & jam. I made peach crumble last week. Making this cake Tuesday for a special friend coming for tea in the garden.
Update: I've made 3 of these cakes. They are amazing. The cake itself is marvelous. Much thanks for this recipe.
Amazing and delicious 😋, thanks for sharing! You are great! Really enjoy your videos! Big like 👍🏼 from Spain 🇪🇸 🤗
You little sweetheart! My Mama, God rest her soul, used to make peach cake. Thanks for the recipe and all those wonderful memories. Big hugs to you and your family. ❤
Hi John…about to try this recipe as we have a peach tree. Just wanted to say I’m amazed how perfect all of your meals and desserts look. Here’s hoping my peach cake doesn’t look like a second-grader made it. 😂 🍑
Thank you John for taking the extra time to explain how important butter consistency and temperature is, to the outcome of a cake. Some people seem not to care about this step, but I find it really is the difference between a good cake and a GREAT cake.
I agree, thanks. I made a crumble last week with too soft butter. It just kind of melted into the fruit. Gross. Will try this peach cake as an easier alternative to peach pie.
A Keeper, made a double batch yesterday and it is so delicious.
I made my own sour cream using yoghurt, heavy cream and lemon juice, also I let the peaches rest in some sugar before as they were not so sweet.
Thank you, John, lovely recipe and you are right, the cake itself is delicious
This cake looks delicious. I would serve mine with a dollop of creme fraiche. I wonder if it would be as nice if nectarines were substituted for the peaches, or a combination of both? Thanks John
It works great with slices of peeled apple too!
Went peach picking a few days ago and was looking for peach dessert recipes. Well, I found this !!!!! I made one yesterday and another today. DELICIOUS !!!! I did have to bake an additional 15 minutes. This recipe will be in my favorite folder.
45 minutes and cake is definitely not done in the middle. Will add another 15. Thanks for suggestion.
Preppy John makes - everything he bakes - satisfying and delicious!
