Huge addition. I love it. Still not as good as some stand alone trackers but we needed this and it can only get better. Thanks Dylan for putting this together.

So freakin useful
Glad you liked it brotha! 👊🏼
I'm wondering whether the tracking is up to doing a full shape mask. So define a bezier shape mask for the first frame, and FCP tracks the boundaries... automatic rotoscoping basically. I don't think this is yet possible, but if you know otherwise, let me know!
That would be incredible. So far, I haven't heard of it working though.
i must admit i was excited until I learned that scale doesn't work as well as AE tracking. Also I would love to see them expand their video playing within the video with tracking .
Ya it’s really not all that great haha. After playing around with it a lite more, I’ve found such inconsistent results. MTracker3D from MotionVFX is a go to for me
Sweet
👊
Great tutorials, setup and presentation is on point. Quick question if you dont mind, Im working on a project that requires a screen record and I really like how you present your screen record. Mind sharing some tips on maintaining resolution when zooming in and the smooth effect when scaling in to see details?
Thanks so much! 🙏🏼 sure! So I record with QuickTime in the max quality and for that smooth zoom in and out is the plug in RT Punch Ins. It’s applied in post.
I like your confetti effect I was looking for one. Did you make it yourself, can you share me the details
Hey! It’s through a VFX site called Production Crate. I have the link in the description of the video if you’re interested.
@@dylanjohndickerson Thank you, Dylan
thank u alwayss
You're welcome Bruno!
Having a lot of trouble with these a year later. Transform box doesn't show tracking. Items don't want to clip onto video inspector half the time. Can't connnect text to what's analyzed in the screen. Ugh.
Great
Thanks!
Finally an update lol
Thanks for it Bro😍
Of course man! Happy editing! 👊🏼
Is there any way to use this tool for locked-on stabilization effects? Or a slow zoom into the tracked object?
Hey! So you’ll need to use Motion to achieve that.
I would be excited if I used FCPX
It’s a definitely a dope new feature man. It’s not 100% but it’s nice to just have a simple tracker built in
@@dylanjohndickerson if I end up with an iMac or Macbook, I'll probably go back to FCPX
