Did you ever try anything using an automatic cvt transmission? If you know anything or anyone that has a solution to the belts, I'd like to learn about them.
Will MAPerformance be tinkering with the 11th Gen Civic Si? Learning now that they’re close 10th gen-11th gen but not the same as far as the engine is concerned. Would love to see videos on a stable build to 400hp. It’s a good looking car. If only it can make these power figures to match the looks. What are y’all thinking about it?
Loving this 10th gen content, would love to see further content on the future staged blocks over and above stage 1, complete staged performance part kits available on your website would be cool too.
Unless I missed it…. A good video to put together would be one that shows what combinations of components we can purchase on your website to make 300 hp, 350 hp, 400 hp…. Etc. Many of us have a hodge podge of components we’ve purchased but a blueprint for a reliable daily with these horsepower figures in mind would help us put the monies together and purchase in one bundle.
TL;DW Rods, rod bolts, oil pump and head bolts are the weak links of this engine. If you make a lot of power down low you're drastically increasing the propensity for low speed pre-ignition. That's what does most of the damage on turbo cars. Between 2800-3400 is the LSPI danger zone, after that, piston speed induces enough turbulence to make combustion more consistent.
1:27 is that a hydro brake? How did you guys install that did you just connect to the rear line? I want one to mess around in the snow lol I haven't looked at my ABS module but I would imagine it's 4-channel, so does yours just squeeze one caliper for drag launches and burnouts? Love the content!
Did you say 10,000 RPM on an L15?? You must have some sort of crazy cam because I always see these things roll over power wise by 7000 RPM. Even when holding boost. I haven’t tuned one was a Ported head yet, but I’m sure I will soon enough. I just can’t imagine going past even 7500 RPM on this motor. The only way I can see 10,000 rpm in an l15 happening is progressive nitrous by rpm.
Did you find that you needed a block guard, resleeving etc. to make those big numbers? I'm building an L15A7 at the moment with wiseco pistons and k1 rods, hoping to push around 250hp initially with a td04. i know the B7 is a different head with direct injection and DOHC, but there's little out there for my L15 so crazy to see a 10th gen make this power
didn't get the si because I liked the hatch much more but its the sport manual hopefully one day ill get a motor from y'all and build a reliable 400hp car
so as far as reliability goes how reliable would a built block with around 400 hp be for daily driving? work at day and little roll races and stuff at night typa deal.(1 being grandma driving and 10 being a maniac id say i’m around 6-7ish).
This Wednesday (1-12-2022) My Si is going in for its last engine performance mod. Sadly i have to replace my Maperformance intake which I love for the 27won. It has a 80mm maf which the Maperformance does not that's going to connect to the crossover pipe that's going to connect to the W2-v2 drop in turbo. I just put the E85 on last week & can tell a larger hp gain. My car was sitting at 231hp & 266 fpt at the wheels before the flexfuel add on. This Wednesday thats all going to change. Alex Pagan of Humble Performance will be doing my tuning on their Dynojet. My Maperformance full bolt on exhaust is going to be singing. I still need a clutch. Can Maperformance help with that? Again love these 10th gen videos you all are putting out.
@@maperformance Awesome. Your on phone staff is great & friendly. Never had any problems with you guys. Ill definitely be contacting you when the time comes.
We got into the Honda game with the 10th gen, so no MAPerformance parts for any earlier Civics. We do have some parts from other manufacturers on our site though!
I think the 10th gen civic is cool mechanically, and I wish the 11th gen also had coupes but I can't get over how ugly the 10th gen is, it's like if a middle schooler designed his own "dope car". Kinda like the type R it looks like a factory ricer. So for I like the 11th gen more, it actually looks like something an adult would drive
I would like to see if you guys are able to provide port and polishing service for the L15B7 head. What about a fully assembled motor with head built etc for purchase? Basically ready to drop in? - 1SiKFC3
Thanks for watching!
What other Civic Si content do you guys want to see? Let us know here!

i know in one of your videos you said your running an aem ems 4 for the port injection, a video going more into detail on that would be cool.
Sir which kind and which categories of turbo can increase hp upto 200+

Map, thank you guys . The L15 is a great engine and please keep pushing this engine to its limits and get us more products , and bigger numbers !
Awsome vid, you shoul make one for a 300hp street setup civic👌
Check out this video we did recently! ruclips.net/video/ZYZyoCkJ3kc/видео.html&ab_channel=MAPerformance

Just finished installing one of your intakes on my Si. Love the quality. Safe to say I know who to go to when I need a new motor. Love you guys!

Great video!! Looking to snag a stronger block in the future so I’ll keep an eye out!

always enjoy your vids, thanks guys

What we need is fueling information, and a mpi kit from u guys I have everything but fueling
We are working on it now! Some exciting fuel products coming soon!
Does this info apply for the 11 gen civic as well? Might need a back up engine cause I believe im on borrowed time with my 11 gen civic si

This is lowkey overkill for me aha , I’d like to see a 300-350whp setup !!
Mine is going in this Wednesday to have a bigger turbo put on & intake. Im expecting those numbers after my tuner does his magic.

We look to test the limits with our new MAP Spec block this spring, but the stock block held up just fine at 400hp, so a built one should be fine!
