    A couple of corrections, since not even AR scoring is as simple as we'd like it to be:
    You can only lose a unit without losing score if you have the bonus offense mythic, in this case Eir, on your team. This is true for all tiers. However, in VoH, you gain +10 lift on offense when having a flawless victory, so you'd want to try and not lose a unit there regardless of bonus mythics. That's also the reason why Tachos mergeless offense team scored 190, whereas for non-VoH players the same team would score 180. Should be the same for chaos season, but don't quote me on that.
    Also, if your offense mythics aren't merged, you can actually run only 2 mythics and score the same as if you had 3 unmerged mythics on the team. But as soon as you have three offense mythics with merges for a season, you want to run all 3 for maximum lift gain

      Wasn't there a limit to the AR -D battles you need to win in order to not lose score? Not every team will face the same amount of fights would make this unfair otherwise.
      The 2/3 mythics sounds weird. Do you know the formula that explains it?
      So there is a point using the specific bonus mythic, the offensive at least, like now with legendaries in arena.
      Well, I do use auto create and autobattle is common used when I ran out of tactical retreats. That said I have no golden thrones and I don't think I could get them with auto battle usage.

      @@ghable23 On defense, after a result, you cannot lose lift for the next 20 hours. Any results in that time span will say 'Lift Loss Control Active' at the top. I'm guessing that's what you're referring to, and it's the only other mechanic affecting defense lift loss.
      The formula for offense lift gain is (copied from the feh wiki):
      100 + (#Mythics x #Blessed x10) + #Merges + Bonus Unit + flawless win (in VoH)
      #Blessed refers only to units who have been blessed with a light/astra blessing and in-season legendaries like lyn in the vid (so not mythics). So it doesn't matter if you have 2 mythics and 3 blessed or the other way around, the lift gain from the bracket remains the same. However, having 3 mythics ofc allows you to have more merges spread out on those mythics, so #Merges will be higher. That's why 3 mythics is optimal for most people.
      Hope that explains everything. And if you want to, there's so much great content and guides about AR that could help you on your way to a golden throne. It takes some time, but is definitely possible.

      @@ghable23 The formula is basically 100 + [(blessed/legs)x(mythics)x10] +1 per mythic merge, +20 if bonus unit, +10 if flawless VOH clear.
      So since 2x3x10 and 3x2x10 are both equal to 60, adding a third mythic will only result in a score gain if it results in a higher total mythic merge count
      So in other words, an unmerged 3rd mythic will provide as much score as a blessed unit

      @ghable23 9 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you. I'm just can't deal with AR. Getting flawless victory that many times, 8-10 seems impossible. I think it's possible to get a golden throne if you managed that even without any mythic merges. That I"ll achieve that is unlikely. It's a gamemode where cav lines or flier lines hit you turn 1 and I won't be living that.
      Also, as a F2P I'm wasting almost all my orbs between getting the new legendaries and some fodder so I hardly ever had orbs to get myhtic merges or the new mythic.

    Also, for the less competitive players, the difference in terms of rewards from one tier to another is very minimal, even from VoH and the rest of the ranks.

    Always love seeing guides to Aether Raids as it's such a cool gamemode! If I might suggest a video topic, I was wondering if it was possible to make a video on how to understand/take advantage of how the AI in the game works. Often times, I find myself caught off guard and confused by how a specific unit moves during their turn (Particularly for rally/dancer traps in AR), and when I try and replicate this type of behavior, it doesn't behave the same way. Also arena at the moment is a bit hectic since L!Elinicia's Guidance 5 can make the enemy AI super unpredictable. Regardless, great video Tacho!! Thanks! :)

    Nice guide Tacho. Could you also make a guide on how to build a strong defence team nowadays. This while keeping mind AI interactions with ally units and against opposing units. Like dancers avoiding combat if they deal less than 5 damage.

    • @Jugement
      @Jugement 9 месяцев назад +2

      Well, the short answer is that the two meta comps are :
      Corner balls which run save units and hard hitting nukes, and stack as much drive/start-of-turn offensive support as possible to compress offensive power and make up for the unit slots spent on defensive utility
      Cav/Flier+Charge lines, which atempt to make up for the lack of firepower and defensive utility through raw threat range, while using a wide range of offensive unit/flash/embla to account for as many tank matchups as possible (example : Shamir to account for Godswords, Duo Elise for Corrin and Dimitri, etc)
      These are the only archetypes able to consistently check both HNR and Tanking, which are the most prevalent offense comps, and roughly make up for 90%+ of the typical VOH weekly replays
      Specific units and common layout could be discussed more in details, but AI interactions as a whole are extremely intricate and case sensitive, and are as such hard to break down extensively in a video format. You could have a look at Akariss guides, but they're really not that comprehensive either for that reason.
      Your best bet is rather to test your defense as you build until you get the desired outcome, while using Mia's AI manipulation guide _(which you can easly find on the internet with your prefered search engine)_ to help you troubleshot as you go

    AR is the mode I play the least bc it asks to merge units I don’t care about or even like just to score kinda well and I wouldn’t want to be in the high scoring tier because everyone sweats up there

      You'd think but not entirely. I hear horror stories of T21 and how some whales or evil players just stay there to torment those who want to get into VoH 💀
      Yea, whales and tryhards do exist up here in VoH but you gotta be sweat yourself to see'em or unintentionally meet them cuz one of your fav mythics has too many merges and you score pushes you too high to the point you start getting thrashed by the tryhards(me unfortunately cuz my Altina and Elimine are +10 cuz i like them)
      You can still run into some amateur players or casuals up in VoH tho. Especially since some ppl merely coast in and out. I used to do that but then stupid Chaos season ruined the rotation i prefered...

    • @Jugement
      @Jugement 9 месяцев назад +1

      Well, offense matches are dead easy regardless of your standings and barracks, since we get 7 ladders and VOH is full of coasters whos def can be swept with literally anything
      Defense can get a little tricky at high merge counts if you dont have the right units and spend some time building, but two def mythics and 3/7 def wins are all you need for consistent T38 VOH. And most players have the barracks to build a def with such performances. It takes a little time to set up, but its really not "sweaty" in the long run. You spend just as much time daily.
      All it takes to achieve T38 without dedicating any orbs to it is just spending a little time refining your defense and not taking offense matches with a loss

    I've been using only 2 mythic heroes. I add a third one and my base score with unmerged units still 180. Why is that happening? Yours is at 190

    • @fyetur7996
      @fyetur7996 9 месяцев назад +2

      Pretty sure it’s because Mr. Tacho is in VoH (Tier 31-39) and you get an extra 10 lift for performing flawless victories. So if he was doing an offence match and he lost a unit, he would get 180 as well.

  • @codeman916
    @codeman916 9 месяцев назад +1

    As far as score goes running 2 mythics with 3 blessed heroes is the same as 3 mythics with 2 blessed heroes. You don't have to use three mythics just at least two on offense

    • @tacho9427
      @tacho9427  9 месяцев назад

      Nah, you score higher with 3. But you do need at least one merge on any of the 3 to score higher.

    • @Jugement
      @Jugement 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@tacho9427 Actually you need at least one merge on *all* of the 3 for it to be a score gain
      Thats because the formula is [(blessed/legs)x(mythics)x10]
      And since 3×2×10 is the same as 2x3x10. The only difference is the merge bonus. So if your third mythic has none, a blessed unit will score the same
