Yes omg I’ve searched for exactly this video in the past and there was no good video specifically for beginners on how to get into SD ty tacho
Commenting for the algorithm, hope this helps people out for SD.
For me as a F2P player, all the SD modes were really fun the first couple of months right when it came out, but I couldn’t keep up with the meta units as time went on, so I stopped taking the mode seriously. I do keep up with the max favor rewards since I managed to get a decent character (Brave Edelgard) to max favor early on. Also only do one match for SDR and SDS for the rewards.
Power to those who take the mode seriously.
Its not that hard tbh, you don't even need to keep up with the meta _that_ much to have success in the mode, either. Everyone's barracks are going to look different. There are team comps that are very beginner friendly and also don't require crazy merges or skill investment.
There's a lot of resources out there for f2p. There's also the issue of choosing bad people in banners. I always go for the support units. The new robin and sorin seem to be amazing support for old units as it makes old tanky infantry and flyers into near/far saviors. It's all in planning. I recently gave myself a limit of 50 orbs to try and get tea lysithea to up the mileage lf my SDR teams and I got her in 30 orbs. It's all about opportunity cost and resource management. Yeah IS sucks so much at balancing shit but compared to all the other gatchas out there, FEH is SUPER generous. It's not like it's Riot Games or Blizzard.
@@sammyiel9626 Yeah focusing on supports/debuffers is always a good idea, because they just help make your strongest units better.

The difficulty I find in SD is team formation. Making a team isn't the hardest but the formation. Thanks for the video

Okay yea this one is gold, Summoner Duels is definitely harder due to the split second decision making you have to do. Having that countdown there makes it much more anxiety inducing.

For this mode, why did they make the rewards tired to using the same character? I don't want to use the same unit i did a year ago, but i have zero inclination to grind a new unit to 3.5k favour
Same problem here, wish I picked a support as my main unit since they'd age better
Yeah I agree with that too. Favor should just be your player rank instead of character rank

I noticed that none of the example teams, with the exception of the one with Soren, do not have any save armors in it. So, I was wondering if saves are even still worth using. From my experience, they seem to get one shot by almost everything, but at least they redirected the attack away from another unit who potentially could've gotten a kill. Thanks for the very helpful video!
Save armors are kind of a gamble, they can be either really helpful or a complete waste of a team slot. One downside is that they require heavy merges and investment to really get the most out of them, so they aren't F2P accessible. You can have great success in SD without using saves at all and going full on offense too, so there's also that to think about.

Can you put rules in Summoner Duels. Like lets say rules that don't allow some of the more problematic units to participate?
You can in favor battles, but not in the ranked modes. In SDS you can veto 2 of the 4 enemy teams if you see problem units that you don't want to deal with, but since they can do the same to you it makes it a little harder to deal with players that have a more varied barracks roster than you.
