i mean you can still do it without it but aside from Conrad (8% RES grwoth) and to a lesser extent Genny (5% RES growth), you can also reset scum where you'll reset any levels that aren't +4 but that'll take way too long

At the Astral Temple, enter the last room, exit it and enter again, this way there will always have five small pots and one medium pot waiting for you!
One tip: During the process of getting the astral shards use mercenarys because they can level up indefinitely so there is next to no drawback of them getting not-so-great level ups

Wait so is there any way to do this without the dlc or do we have to get it if we want to get the shards?
The Inner Sanctum is by far more efficient once you learn how stuff spawns, the limits of their spawn range and how to lure away enemies. The room have more entrances giving you more options compared to Astral Temple with only a single entrance per room. Yes the enemies mean almost certain death if you accidently engage them but there are more and larger container with better drop chances.
Also I understand that some people dont like to play this way. Fine, dont. But I paid for the game just like you did and how I enjoy playing the game is just as valid as the way you do.

@@mymindbecomesacomicworld9969 I think you need to talk to the hermit specifically in Inner Sanctum (not the Astral Temple) to forge it but Im not positive. Other than that just make sure you actually have 1 of each of the 12 shards (Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces).
I'm glad I saw this video! Just bought the season pass DLC and was able to grind for 2 Star Jacinths before actually starting the game. Stat growth here sucks without it. Thank you! :D

Abdallah I just wanted to say you can get infinite dagon fillets by going to zofia harbor and going to the tavern and talking to the skilled angler. Once he's gone, exit the village and just walk back and forth a bit then come back and repeat. This is too short to do a video about but I still wanted to get that out there. Thx for the amazing content!

Good tutorial. im not sure if I'll going to be able to get the Inner Sanctum doc or if I want to buy it, but it may be worth it. Looking forward to seeing more episodes of the LP. I beat the game 2 days ago so I don't have to worry about you getting ahead of me & seeing spoilers. Going to start a second play through on Hard mode.
When I break and see a shard on the floor before engaging enemies it remains there, but if I don't thr pot has dissappeared.

AbdallahSmash026 It's not "fast" and "easy" if they have to cash out and buy the DLC barely anyone wants to purchase. It's very.........clickbaity??(Is that even a word) to make a video telling people and easy way out of grinding only to get slapped by a paywall because they thought you were gonna tell them something useful that likely didn't require money, only to have that not be the case.
There's a broad spectrum of people that really don't like you cuz of stuff like this, but I'm sure that through all the hate messages you've gotten, you probably figured that out.
That's a lot of things to keep track of especially with all of the grinding. But its worth it for those growths in stats!

Is there a way to max out without DLC?
Right now I am at the part where I free Claire, my question is when should I level up my villagers? Do I level them to the cap or to a certain extent. Thanks in advance
+Mar Mar Just level them to promotion, then promote, unless you're trying to MAX stats.
Nice guide! But... I have no money XD do you know if there is any good way to grind to a good level without DLC? I'm stuck at Jedah on act 4 and I feel it would be just a little bit easier if Celica's units were at a a reasonable level. Lul

About what Level I can fight and survive enemies in the Astral Temple? I just start the game so I just have 4 Villagers Lv5 :P

I farmed 3 Star Jacinth before leveling any of my characters, should I try to get +6 stat lvl ups from the start with my villagers? or wont I need to use them that early?
+Alex Cheung Don't waste your time with levelling up villagers. Just do it on final forms.
I kinda settled on +6 level ups, or +4 or 5 if I roll a res. At lvl10 My Lukas is much more powerful than without using Jacinth. Got the turnwheel so I can test 3 units at the same time and pick which level ups I like. What are final forms like? Is there like 3 ranks for each character? so 60 levels
At lvl11 Fighter Alm already has 20 ATK, my chracters are already so OP XD
yoo I spent about two hours farming for all the shard but only got 11 of them...taking forever and it wont drop that last one.
So basically to max out your resistance even with the Jacinth you would still need to soft reset on every level up until you got a res level up from the beginning on all non male villager/mercenary characters.
+Steve The Wizard Don't waste your time with that.
I might just do this for a playthrough, so I can use units that otherwise wouldn't be viable like giving the libra shard to Luthier. It's one of the best mechanics that sadly only exists within a few different games in the series.

so basicly u keep your pt members in their first class so no reclassing get the Star Jacinth equip it to them get them to 20 i know the grinding is long and reclass them with the Star Jacinth still equipt so if you get no +6 stat boost when lv up rewind time and try again for the + 6 if not work soft reset
The Aquarius shard is always the LAST one I find! Last time I was grinding for shards, I can't tell you how long I spent looking for one. UGGGHHH.
Let's say that all my units (or almost) are around level 15 of their first class, will I be able to cap?
Well, I started farming my Kliff with a star jacinth ever since a level 5 Myrmidon.
After reaching level 20 of Yasha, He only had 33 ATK.
@@astra8815 Theres no way to guarantee capping stats. The star jacnith just raises growth rates, or the chance of a stat going up
Cancer, Taurus, and Scorpio are rare in Alm, while Cancer, Taurus, and Sagittarius are rare in Celica. But I get abundance of the others. But the drop rates are suppose to be the same. Holding onto 10 Aquarius just on Alm, and 12 Virgo on Celica
I have not finished the game because I love grinding and max'ing stats
i always feel bad for spending money on dlc but fire emblem echoes gives you new 4th tier classes i think their called and a lot of good and useful items and ways to grind so yeah fire emblem was one of the only games i bought dlc because they are actually pretty usefull
The starsphere shards bring back bad memories. I had a hard time with them in both the SF game and the NDS remake.

Getting the Star Jacinth and giving them to Mycen and Nomah helps them to grow more since those 2 characters have terrible growth rates.
Lies I maxed the stats without dlc you don't need the dlc to max every units stats I don't know why people say that about every fire emblem game on 3ds

The second DLC for all of them. For example, the second DLC of Astral Temple is Inner Sanctum.

I would say Lords of the Grave. Band of Bandages takes sooo long because the enemies keep fleeing that you're better off fighting on the Thieves' Shrine.
That's... THE STARSPHERE!?! Dang, that item is always OP! In Shadow Dragon, it prevented weapons--including Tiki's Divinestone--from wearing out at all! It was also required to recruit Tiki in New Mystery of the Emblem (JP Exclusive Game), but why wouldn't you go out of your way to get it! IT'S FREAKIN' AWESOME!!! And if you think that's not the Starsphere, you had to collect all of the Zodiac Shards to reassemble it in New Mystery of the Emblem too (it was broken when Gotoh made Starlight in Shadow Dragon). I should also mention that the Shards either boosted stats directly, or affected growth rates as well. Sadly, we never got New Mystery of the Emblem in North America, so all I know about that game comes from hours of lookin' stuff up on FE Wiki.

I've never played the game, but I read that various thieves and other characters are holding the shards and you need to kill them before they escape.
I have four of each, except for Sagittarius. Not a single one...

With the Star Jacinth some characters have a 100% growth rate.
I grinded the back out of Gray now he he maxed stats except for resistance of course
with no dlc tho

I actually have 3 star Jacinth for each team.
But wait this is how to get max stats but what if when your units hit level 20 and cannot progress any farther? This seems more like an explanation on growth rates but not fully towards max stats im just curious what would be a good way to get max stats since yes we can use this method but it is still based on Rng luck.
If your unit is level 20, then I guess you are screwed.
Only the dread fighter can reliably get maxed stats easily because they are the only class in the game that can reclass to villager at lvl 10 dread fighter. I guess if you wanna start over, set everyone on your team to mercs then reclass them late game into other classes. Only works for males lol and females with the fork
As one reply states you can use the dread fighter loop but there's also DLC for overclassing which is another 19 levels to work with. Max stats range from 37 to 43 and a lot of units have around 38 levels to go through, before overclassing, for mages and 57 for the other classes. villagers get an extra 19 making it 76 levels and finally with overclassing the maximum possible amount of levels to go through is 95 which even starting out with 0 in a stats and having 45% growth rate you should be able to max your stats except for res because that never had a chance to start with.

If you do this and level exclusively with the Star Jacinth (I made two so I could back up the main unit Im leveling without worrying about accidently giving the back up unit a level and losing out on stats) most units will be near max stats even without overclass dlc. Pre-promotes may require overclass to max out but even Mycen and Zeke will be pretty formidable with this strategy. Use Inner Sanctum though and once youve cleared out all the containers evacuate Alm/Celica to save yourself farming time. If you do Inner Sanctum just remember to avoid enemies like the plague as they will likely destroy you if youre doing this early as you should be if youre trying to get max stats.

tip for the first dlc. the last room actually can be looted twice. but that would mean two battles UNLESS you go into the loading screen of the last room, directly back out and go back into the room. in the chamber with the pots you will now find alot more but only one group of enemies.
once you did. dont run out of teh dungeon. you can evacuate Alm/Celica and your on the dlc list
also I never had items teleport randomly not even if I hit enemies with the same attack I destroyed the pots with

i dare someone to begin a new classic hard mode by only starting the inner sanctum and grinding till you have a star jacinth for each character before battling any enemies on the map on both beginning routes you will eventually learn how to outsmart the enemies in the rooms also once you can survive a hit or two you can just retreat on turn 3 should neither of your units die damn brigands and their 20 atm +15 weapon might
Well... I started the game and went straight to farm star jacinths.
I have 11 now, And i still haven't engaged in any battle on the world map.
I farmed my Alm to level 20 in Band of Bandages and Lords of the Grave.
I have 2 killer bows, 1 mage ring, Uncountable amounts of brave swords, lightning swords and blessed swords, One prayer ring, one speed ring, and one angel ring. and also an uncountable amounts of blessed rings.
I'm farming for the Astra sword.
I almost maxed out my stats for my units by leveling up all of them to lv 20 then class them into the next class and by doing this, by the time I got to duma my overall rating was 4000+ within the fight
edit: the fight was easy especially with the villagers all of them are op compared to everyone else.
Yeah. Because the game isn't meant to be beaten with 20/20 stats. Only reason you would do that at all is if you were going for act 6, final boss ROUTE challenge.

Winning four stat points used to be quite normal in fire emblems pre "Fate". Now they've lowered the % and made a DLC to have it back to normal again. Gotta love that sweet content. Plus maxing stats isn't really worth it in Echoes because there's no real challenge besides the Thabes Labyrinth which can be cleared with characters far from maxed out.
+Krondor It depends on the player, dude. People love maxing stats regardless.
To be fair Gaiden was like this too. In fact, it was rare to get more than one stat per level up for most characters.

So I have all 12 astral shards(multiple of them actually) and two black pearls. Yet Hermit refuses to offer to make the jacinth, his only dialogue is telling me about the astral shards ! Its DLC is actually the hacking system of the game. You get what you want from it.
It's not fair how you can grind your units stats up to the green yet in all that grinding you'd be lucky if their resistance stat rises even a single point!!
