When the Fire Emblem Fates games launch on February 19th at a suggested retail price of $39.99 each, players can choose to purchase one of two versions in stores or in the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS.
In Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright, players battle a corrupted king by joining up with the main character's birth family.
In Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest, a misguided kingdom must be changed from within. This path of the game offers quite a challenge, with money and experience harder to obtain.
Each path is a complete story and a complete game, featuring unique storylines, characters and gameplay scenarios. Playing both will show players two different sides of one brutal conflict.
During Chapter 6, players will reach a key point in the story that has their main character making a life-changing decision. This gives them the option to continue along their current path or download the other version of the game and experience a new adventure for only $19.99. Players who have already played through one will be able to skip the first five chapters with a new or existing avatar to quickly reach the point of the branching story.
In addition, a third story finds the game's main character not choosing either path. Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation launches as DLC March 10 for $19.99 for players that already own the "Conquest" or "Birthright" version of the game.

I have Selena with aggressor, Dualists Blow, Awakening, Vantage, and Aether. 92 hours on the save and I accidentally deleted it. Luckily my friend has my card so he beat my team repeatedly and got all the units, put them on his team and then I was able to get them from his team. so I have 90 some hours worth of work on a 30 hour save

with eternal seals, you can actually get up to level 99. although its kinda useless, because your characters stats will be long maxed out by then,

Intelligent Systems broke their own game. Probably without realising.
i want to make a note here: you CAN pass down the villager tree. in fact it is the only class tree mozu passes down. so you dont need to pass down aptitude. you can instead go her archer tree and chose something from there.
Even though I know all this, it's really cool that you're making a tutorial vid about skills Abdallah! It'll really help everyone who doesn't know about it yet.

Honestly, I use Serenes Forest every single day. It's an incredibly helpful information resource for every fire emblem game out so far and can help answer some FAQ's! I highly recommend it, and I am glad you're putting the word out there, Abdallah!
Also...the skill buying system in this game is complete nuts, I love it. The best part is if you want to keep it a "pure game", you don't have to utilize it. I've been using it for all the fun, useful skills to pass down skills from parents to children. It saves a bit of time instead of having to constantly reclass units and waste money on eternal seals. I'll be using the skill buying system more for when I've completed all three games.
I realize you figured it out in the video, but you stated that you can set your character to blitz or guard which is right for auto mode settings, but wrong for Streetpass team tactical settings. When creating your Streetpass team you can choose the tactics to be either Attack, Defend, or Hold. The person you fought had all of their characters set to Hold which is why they won't make any movement towards you even when they are equipped with a weapon.
this video is gold and was seriously the most helpful video i've ever seen cuz i honestly had no idea how skills worked or how to go about getting them. now my friends can watch in awe when my units kick their units' butts. thanks, Abdallah!!

People are stupid complaining about hackers with hacked skills. The same basic thing we did in awakening with reclassing till we had the perfect unit. Only people who play the game on a deeper level do skill farming. Everyday players don't need to do this
Hacking is fine, but doing it in PvP is disgusting.
So you want only people to use skill that only units offically get and nothing out side of them?
Sounds like a very bad Pvp base. This is why there is a divide between the casual plasyer base and the competive base

Pvp you get banned for having a + anything yato bro learn to fire emblem.
Also battle seal any one can use a glitch to clone it

Very helpful! I love the My Castle feature in general - obtaining skills like this definitely makes the game more approachable/easier for newcomers but I just love how everyone can give/give back.

I don't get it. How do units get skills that they don't even get regularly? I thought there was a way to inherit a skill for a DIFFERENT unit.

I'm replaying revelations for fun and I'm trying to buy "shadowgift" to my Leo from an online castle BUT the game don't allow me to select "shadowgift" but I can select all the others skills. Can someone tell me why is this happening ?
You can’t get shadowgift because it is a DLC skill and thoes can’t be inherited

Why is everyone so butthurt about the skill hackers?! Its not like you HAVE to inherit the skills. If you say its breaking the game, its only breaking THEIR game. If you don't want that, just don't take the hacked skills.

Is it bad that I am going to sadistically enjoy his playthrough of Conquest mainly because in the first time in like ever he won't be excessively grinding like a maniac.
I kinda wanna see how well he does. In conquest. It will defiantly be a different vibe because he will probably be more protective on who fights who.

This is nice and informative. You missed Replicate and Live to Serve as some of the best skills. Replicate creates an exact copy of your unit, which can move on its own or partner on its own, and when one takes damage or heals the other does as well. Live to Serve heals you for however much your unit heals another, which is actually great on Birthright Corrin and Kana especially because they have access to rods in addition to sword and dragonstone if you stay in Hoshidan Noble class.

Okay, I didn't understand how getting skills online worked thanks for explaining.
This may be a stupid question. But when you use a seal to change class, can you change back? Also with the inheriting skills, when you say "last learned skill" do you mean the last skill they acquired or the last skill in the 6 equipped ones?

1. Yes you can change back to your previous class through Heart Seals
2. Last equipped skill of the 6, not the most recently inheireted

I have a Takumi with Astra, Deathblow, Aether, and Vengeance. Dude is an absolute monster when he initiates combat as well as countering.

First happened upon your channel trying to find out what happens at the end of Birthright, my friend accidentally saved over my only save where I was on chapter 23 and I didn't think i had the patience to do it again, and watching it i saw the power of your units and desperately wanted the same. Then i watched this video and it cleared up all of my questions on how to do that, thank you this video was VERY helpful.
on another note imagine this, you have an op character with galeforce, for instance Corrin, give it replicate. Buy a Einherjar of it, and boom Ridiculous power that has no repercussions for sending it off to it's death or if it dies, since Einherjar really don't pertain to your characters at all. If they die it means next to nothing, just like prisoners. Because that's essentially what they are. I had a prisoner i got from mokushu forest that i made a ballistican to use in the sea chapter with all of the flying units, little did i know he just made it harder. Once i dealt the damage they flew away to the corner by the falcon Knight with the sun festal. As soon as I made it over there I was swarmed and lost a character, therefore forced to restart.

The system makes things easier, in my Revelation file I literally passed about 30 hours of only Lv. grinding for skills, I managed to get some skills form the characters I currently have for my castle defense, but if you want to get the skills you have to prove yourself or PM me to unequip them to make things easier.
i had a question that i couldn't find an answer to, whenever i go to another castle i see they have more than one food resource, iv seen people with all 10 and 12 resources so i was wondering how is that possible, is there a way to get more than one food and mineral?

Hey Abdallah! I know this is kind of late but, I still play Fire Emblem Fates and what I'm trying to figure out is how you can get Hoshidan Unity and Nohrian Trust on different units. I see that a lot of people's units have those 2 skills on for example, Hinata, and I was wondering if you can tell me how I can get those 2 skills on different units. +009090 You get access to your castle after completing chapter 6. As soon as that happens, you can start visiting other castles and buying skills (although it will be very hard to afford them that early in the game).

Hello, sorry if i did something wrong, but i'm playing on a Relelations save, and on my character, I am A rank with most of my people, but it doesn't let me use my Frienship Seal. Am i not supposed to be evolved or something? Or was there a patch for the game that messed with something?
It has to be an A+ relationship if I'm right.
You can't use a friendship seal with units with potential s-rank supports.
sammi Corrin can't get an A+ support level with any male (which is kinda bull)

I would love it if Abdallah played Genealogy of the Holy War
but you can only promote units at level 10 right but then how do they get their level 5 skill in their advanced class if they have already passed level 5 from their base class?
You can soft reset by pressing R, L and start or reset, so you don't have to go back to the home screen
I like how they made it so not all lot of units could get gale force and made it less broken and more of a challenge
This is certainly helpful in the future.
at 7:15 he explained it wrong. you have to get all 4 skills. so if you don't have the first classes 2 skills as well then it takes 4 levels. So if he were to go to kinshi knight sense i'm sure he wasn't an archer or sky knight at any point it would take 4 levels the first 2 get darting blow and camaraderie then its air superiority and amaterasu
I know i am late but the skills that you adquired only the avatar can learn them right? i wanted to pass charlotte a skill
So, let's see if i completely understood here, using Kaze as an example: I promote him to master ninja, then wait till lv 5 so he gets lethality. Then I use a heart seal to reclassify into sword master, and in three more levels, lv 8,he'll get astra. Then, because he is paired with my avatar and her secondary class is hero, a partner seal and three more levels, lv 11, will get him Sol. Then, being best buds with Silas, use a friendship seal to make him a great knight, three more levels,lv 14, for Luna. Then master seal (?) to get him back to master ninja. Is that right?
TMNTno1fan You need a Heart Seal to go back to your original class, not a Master Seal.

In Awakening I had a Marty with arms thrift, luck up and 48 base luck, unbreakble brave swords and other good swords

just a question my saizo is a lvl 3 master ninja tht learnes Sol from someone else in castle battle i want my avatar to have Sol how can i get the Sol from saizo to my other character ? thank you in advance
+angelius david than you'd have to buy sol for avatar too because only class skills can be transferred normally
Something I found charachter like Selena who have Aether but i cant buy it. Is that mean is like a hacked castle? or she became vanguard or something and return as a mercenary?
Also i wonder how you return to the previous class after having the skill you want? is it with the heart seal?
+M07 they most likely promoted her to a dlc class. any skills you get from dlc classes cant be bought like the regular ones, you actually have to reclass the character into a vanguard or whatever dlc class it is to get them.

Are you sure a friendship seal is an A rank, it says A+ in my game, I got my Takumi and Hinata to A rank and the partner seal isnt even registering as usable

I need to watch this again because I'm still blurry on the whole reclassing stuffs and gaining skills back from it lol
but really, my favorite skills from awakening are Galeforce, Luna, Counter, Aegis, Pavise, Lethality, Vengeance, and Lifetaker and it's great to see it comeback in Fates although Galeforce's limited, Countermagic and Replicate are promising by the way.
