Okay: this needs to be an actual playthrough. I need to see Kagero delete everthing in castle Krakenburg
My favorite actually useful meme build has to be marrying Orochi to a Samurai and befriending Oboro for Vantage, LnD, and Lancefaire Bolt Naginata sweeping, with Quixotic to fix her accuracy. Originally it started as a crazy scheme to get Kana the same build, but Orochi carrying with a non-tome was hilarious enough to stick in my brain.

It’s builds like this is why I love fates so much. I’m currently doing a Malig Knight Mitama build with Azura as her mother. I had her inherit Rend Heaven from Azama (Hayato Friendship) and Voice of Peace and she’s an absolute demon with the Bolt Axe and Horse Spirit!
As someone who has never played FE, these vids are so interesting and so complex that I had to take the plunge into Fates. Having just started, i see why so many people like the game
You know, I play Fates very often and still I realise exactly why it's both loved and hated
It 100% was not the point of the video but now I really want to do wyvern Effie with Corrin marriage.

addendum: before anyone asks (since I can't reply if they do, youtube is cruel like that), I know this is a birthright video, I simply plan on using this to learn the mechanics better and as a bit of inspiration for making my own builds

I would love to see you guys actually doing a playthough with these builds in mind, I kinda miss Balk gameplay videos. I also like these kinda of podcast / discussion videos but it would be nice to see in pratice sometimes what has been told.
I don't recall who it was but I remember watching someone do a FE3H with a similar concept of taking off-meta builds for everyone through the game. I have looked up and down for one for Fates since because I'm not good enough at the game to do it but I've tried in Conquest with things like Maid Camilla and Kinshi Effie.
Ever since the sakura video ive been a fan of paladin sakura. My only complaint is with cavalry class outfits for women. I absolutely love how well she does with a kaze backpack now.

@@theleftfootedsultan if you play on emulator, there is a mod that provides an accessory that lets you retain your character's base outfit. Doesnt help much with f kana in the battle panties department, but its still an option.
@@stickytim64 Oh, that’s cool. I have a separate mod that changes Nohr Princess/Noble, so it would do the trick.

As a incredibly minor nitpick, it’s worth noting that the classes passed down to children are not done in order of base -> fixed parent -> other parent, but instead base -> father -> mother, this being the reason why Jakob!Shigure inherits Wyvern Rider from Sky Knight parallel class rather than Cavalier from Jakob.
It's so nice to see people trying to be creative with builds instead the usual mindset of how to approach FE games. Nice job!

I just can’t decide how to get her there yet, also that Sakura Set Remind me of the General Azura build I keep hearing about, I love it XD
I generally love Sol Maid/Butler better than Ninja because of staff utility & the support Auras, I like to imagine it leads to better attack stance moments
Overall, that does genuinely make me want to theory craft more!! After my current run I think I’ll Build with this video in mind, definitely keeping an eye on the Sakura build X3c

I like to put Kana in Master of Arms. If the kid is going to suck no matter the pairing, the least I'm getting is access to the full weapon triangle and damage stack through life and death.
All the cool Fates videos I've been watching inspired me to return to the game and give Lunatic a go. Your Birthright content is especially great cuz that's the only one I have on cart and I lost my SD card that had the other routes
In my current br run which I decided to do because of your videos, I have a maid hinoka and paladin sakura. Mechanist takumi and ninja silas are probably less meme but they're still reasonable effort picks that I'm using and I guess after that my main wacky build is basara corrin bc I went merc talent before remembering levin sword isn't in this route so I got diviner from orochi marriage lol
More on the support side of things I've gotten a bunch of rallies on shigure and I'm currently trying to get a third seal skill on shiro for the lols

i remember in an iron man playthrough of conquest elise died and i needed a healer really bad so i made charlotte into a maid and was shocked when she was actually like incredible
This is fun and an interesting way to play and i may try this but different way then this.
This reminds me of when I used to grind Birthright - I put 550 hours into Birthright alone grinding every character, getting all the skills available to every single one. I didn't use any EXP dlc maps (I did make use of getting skills from other My Castles though most were quite useless.) So I would always grind those extra maps, which was tedious. Ryoma with Takumi's Shinai was my goat who gave exp to poor needy little units like Master Ninja Orochi who could only deal like 7 damage. Also the time I desperately wanted Gamble on Takumi so I started a whole new play though just to marry him and partner seal him into learning it then buy it on my main file 😂 I miss the passion and drive sometimes. Creating different builds and finding things I liked about the characters was definitely the best experience I've had with Fire Emblem.
Partially why I like to pair Rinkah and Kaze because Midori gets Elbow Room from Kaze and Salvage Blow from Rinkah. Midori’s Lucky Charm adds another 20% chance to activating Salvage Blow. So higher chances for Econ!
I love to imagine that if I clip the Pairing and Inheritance part and send it to the past, it can sound like actual parent philosophy.

In my most recent playthrough I did Kaze/Rinkah for salvage blow Midori, as that is luck based. Although she will get profiteer first.

i unironically used Oni Chieftain Orochi to get Death Blow (after marrying Hayato and promoting into Basara for Rend Heaven), and the results were some really great player phase while having decent enough bulk to survive on enemy phase (courtesy of Oni Chieftain), but it doesn't mean shit when she got crit by a Berserker and died smh

I played through BR recently using the gay fates mod (which adds both additional gay and hetero pairings, and that answered the question of why Scarlet can’t marry Ryoma. Turns out Trample, Astra, Lancefaire Shiro as a Wyvern lord is insane. Still, Corrin or Camilla marriage (in rev) could achieve the same thing.
Why is it better to kill Kaze
If I had to guess, it's because Kaze requires at least an A support rank with Corrin to survive chapter 15, and these videos tend to emphasize playing at a more fast pace, making it harder to get your support ranks up that high by the time you get to chapter 15. It also probably doesn't help his argument that Kaze is considered to be the worst of the 3 ninjas because of his strength being the lowest
it's a lot of effort for a pretty mid unit. but if you do save him I guess the dragon herb you get from midori's Paralogue.
@@cloudy978you could just do midori’s paralogue before chapter 15 tho, kaze joins early enough that it’s not an issue
