From Warner Bros. Pictures comes Matt Reeves’ “The Batman,” starring Robert Pattinson in the dual role of Gotham City’s vigilante detective and his alter ego, reclusive billionaire Bruce Wayne. Starring alongside Pattinson (“Tenet,” “The Lighthouse”) as Gotham’s famous and infamous cast of characters are Zoë Kravitz (“Big Little Lies,” “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald”) as Selina Kyle; Paul Dano (“Love & Mercy,” “12 Years a Slave”) as Edward Nashton; Jeffrey Wright (“No Time to Die,” “Westworld”) as the GCPD’s James Gordon; John Turturro (the “Transformers” films, “The Plot Against America”) as Carmine Falcone; Peter Sarsgaard (“The Magnificent Seven,” “Interrogation”) as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson; Jayme Lawson (“Farewell Amor”) as mayoral candidate Bella Reál; with Andy Serkis (the “Planet of the Apes” films, “Black Panther”) as Alfred; and Colin Farrell (“The Gentlemen,” “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”) as Oswald Cobblepot. Reeves (“The Planet of the Apes” franchise) directed from a screenplay by Reeves & Peter Craig, based on characters from DC. Batman was created by Bob Kane with Bill Finger. Dylan Clark (the “Planet of the Apes” films) and Reeves produced the film, with Michael E. Uslan, Walter Hamada, Chantal Nong Vo and Simon Emanuel serving as executive producers. The director’s behind-the-scenes creative team included Oscar-nominated director of photography Greig Fraser (“Dune,” “Lion”); Reeves’ “Planet of the Apes” production designer, James Chinlund, and editor, William Hoy; editor Tyler Nelson (“Rememory”); and Oscar-winning costume designer Jacqueline Durran (“1917,” “Little Women,” “Anna Karenina”). The music is by Oscar-winning composer Michael Giacchino (the current “Spider-Man,” “Jurassic World” and “Star Wars” films, “Up”). Warner Bros. Pictures Presents a 6th & Idaho/Dylan Clark Productions Production, a Matt Reeves Film, “The Batman.” The film is set to open only in cinemas March 3 2022 and will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.

I love how 10 years people made fun of him in Twilight. Now he's The Batman.
LOL if you only knew what he did to get here. This movie will continue to reflect the LACK of Experience truly needed to execute BATMAN & CATWOMAN. These character are old AF and deserve better! I hope I'm completely wrong and this movie rocks but jeeeze this is looking BAD!!!!

Not great nor bad (except fight scenes), just good. This however, is special. On every level. From cinematography to fights to characters. Soon we will find out if the story holds up

That last shot of him walking towards the wrecked car along with that music is absolutely breathtaking and i can't wait for this movie to come out. I'll always be a Marvel guy but i also love it when DC does get it together and make solid stuff like this.

What does being a marvel fan have to do with this? I honestly cringe when someone comments like this. I have never seen any image comics or DC Comics fans say like this while DC literally have two oscars for acting while marvel has none whatsoever. So where do this smugness come from? I mean MCU literally makes garbage like black widow & guys like you still watch cause marvel/Disney/MCU know they can get away with it as the whole MCU fanbase just needs some cringe corny jokes, some references to their other movies with bare bone garbage plot.

Reminds me so much of the aesthetic in the Crow and just a tiny bit of Tim Burton’s movies. Totally has a 90s noir vibe.

I agree. I just wish WB would establish the same filter like this on all their DC films, incase they bring one of the other characters into Batman or vice-versa, that way Batman can disappear into the background as he does in the comics

But for me these 2 are top trilogies.. Atmosphere, story, lore, actors, music..
That Paul Dano has still been hidden so well just makes me think they know they've got an ace up their sleeve they're just waiting to play. There's definitely some Heath Ledger level untapped potential feeling here.

I like how fluid his movements are. Usually Batman in live action movies his movements are somewhat stiff? Like it seems as though he cant move certain points or turn in certain ways, but this one seems more dynamic. He just seems to have a bit more freedom in movement.
Man these trailers are getting me hyped up big time. I hope the film succeeds at showing an exciting new perspective on the Batman.

Well everything worked out in the end. They found someone who is clearly passionate about the role because my god I can’t stop rewatching this

People saying this trailer sucks seem to have a very strange idea of what a good trailer is. Removing my Batman bias for a second, this trailer still has all the factors that make a good trailer (great soundtrack, great cinematography, proper quotes and transitions, not giving too much of the plot away). Guess the haters are more casual watchers. Either that or they hate darker grittier movies just for the sake of hating them.
All they half to do is not watch the movie im excited for this next year can’t come fast enough.

I’m getting a lot of long Halloween vibes from this trailer.
After allowing a while to watch this trailer again. I noticed what I believe the intention of the trailer (perhaps the movie) might be. It is that what makes this Batman different from all the previous is he is going through a lot of adversity against probably more odds than what the previous movies have addressed (maybe more relatable to our generation, if you take to consideration what bruce had to go through finding himself in that prison in Dark Knight Rises...was not very realistic/relatable IMO) maybe more mentally now but surely him getting fired at gunpoint, him getting blown up, him walking through a barrage several semi-automatic rounds, him looking like he'd been dragged through the murk, and finally him waking away from flames coming out unharmed makes this a bad-ass mf of new sorts IMO. Something we'll have to finally see for ourselves!

Before I watched this trailer I was like 'I reckon that guy that played that guy from Prisoners would make a really good Riddler". Turns out it is Paul Dano lol
I love the scene when Batman slams the guy on the pole and tases him. The guy is getting fried for a whole three seconds. Not two second, not four second but three. Such a desernable difference because it speaks lengths about where his mind is. In that he wants to kill him but stops right before it's too much. You can see in Batman's face he's loosing control and then reluctantly releases him to spare him. Instead of choosing to disarm and move on he wallows in hatred and anger then decides to let him go. But, he doesn't even let him go out of moral reason, he does it because he knows what will happen if he crosses the line. So instead of crossing the line get soo very close. Absolutely beautiful and soo raw. Can wait for this movie!
