Thanks coach Julia. This video was really helpful. I have been attempting forward half swizzle pumps last Sunday and today, and not getting it quite right. Your detailed instruction is wonderful. I look forward to using all I learned here for my next practice. You explain so well. Thank you ❤.

I love how coach Julia breaks down the skill into steps in a very detailed and clear way and also reminds us of those easily made mistakes. I've learned so much from her videos which help build up my confidence too. Thank you so much!⛸

Big fan of your videos here! Thank you so much for the beginner lessons. Really motivate me to learn the basic skills and posture maximally before I start taking one on one coach sessions (planning to take it in about 3 months from now).
I'm an adult around 140lbs, have been skating casually in rentals without any proper technique before finding your channel, and I plan to learn ice skating more seriously. I'm currently wanting to buy my first pair of ice skate and considering between Risport Antares and Jackson Freestyle. I visited 2 skate stores in my city and the ice-techs gave me very different suggestions. The first specifically said not to go with JS Freestyle and instead suggest me to take JS Artiste/JS 500 instead (but I find her hard to trust since a lot of people say that Artiste aren't built well for adults and JS500 is even worse). The second said it'd preferable to buy JS Freestyle because my weight is around 140lbs and need more support as an adult skater. May I ask your opinion on this? Is it a good idea to start with Jackson Freestyle considering it might last a little longer and has the necessary support for my weight, or is it safer with Risport Antares which I learn overall good for beginner adult but might not last as long as JS Freestyle as I continue to learn new skills?

@@geetho1548 without having met you and without seeing your skating, it is hard to give a perfectly accurate recommendation, so just keep that in mind. I do however think that the Jackson Freestyle seems like a good choice for you. Heavier skaters need a boot that has more support so that it protects your ankle and also doesn’t break down as quickly. (Not that 140 is heavy in real life, only in comparison to kids! 😉)
