@@1for4ll so I’m assuming the reason why the value didn’t show at first is just because I needed to scrape the contacts clean with the screw driver? I had issues with the lid staying locked after this too… do you have any suggestions on how to bypass the lid lock?

I put in a new lid lock switch (two actually) and the lid still won't lock, therefore no spin. Need to know what part on the board signals the switch to lock??
There are contacts in there take it apart clean them put it back together and now you have words to this guys video your welcome from Huffs Appliance 😁or he is bypassing the locking mechanism with the spring hard to see exactly what he is doing there isn't much light
Teknisimu, if I did your stretching of the spring, and still get no continuity between that spade connector and the metal piece on the far side of the copper winiding, is the winding the problem (broken)?
My lid locked light is flashing too only this happened before on around Feb of this year. I still had a warranty so a g.e repairman came out and it took him all of 5 seconds to fix the issue. He said it was some computer error saying the lid was locked but it wasn't. I have no idea how he reset it or what he did to fix it but it's happening again and I'm no longer under warranty. So idk what to do. He told me before it wasn't a bad lid lock
@@1for4ll Unfortunately I don't think I can bypass the lid lock because my machine has a purple wire that goes with the two hot wires and it's called a "solenoid" or something and even tho we spliced the hot wires and put them together, it still throws an error at the end of the wash cycle so it won't go into rinse and spin. It's a g.e. gtw330ask3ww

I've got the exact same washer. It's the worst purchase decision I ever made. I will never buy another GE product. Shame, it used to be a quality company.
Nothing to hide actually it was little bit cold the weather at here and i realised the video wasnt clear enough because of my gloves.I 'll make another clear
The weirdest comment ever. Most people work with gloves for safety. Anything could prick a persons fingers at anytime You must have a HAND FETISH & wanted to see his hands because honestly we’re just here to get help with the washer not worry about how someone’s hands look 🤣🤣

I did it exactly how you showed, and now the washer machine works again! This video was a savior...thank you!!
Glad to heard that...the problem only when the coil solenoid doesnt show the value(ohm) machine won't start

@@1for4ll I already took off the latch and stuck it inside the door lock so I could freely open and close the washer…
A few words explaining each step or just shown in caption would have been helpful.
SO TRUE
Words would be so helpful
I'll do for next ,thank you
I think I have this problem, but the video is too dark. I cant see where you are prying or what or where you are taking parts off of.
I was able to follow along perfectly fine. Excellent video friend.
I'm not even sure what I did but this worked. Pretty sure it just had a lot of moisture in there that was causing it to short.
GE updated the lock and latch. Sensing is done without contacts.

Mine fills with door up. Close door it locks, unlocks, locks, unlocks. Then it ends cycle.
I got errors:
