New= Never ever worked. You have persistence. When that part ohm'ed out in spec I doubt I would have tried another one. Good on you. This is nuts. My dad was an old school Wall Street stock broker in the 60's early 70's. He switched to insurance but always invested. He was really good made multi 7 figures just on investing.Couldn't change a light bulb though. lol He would try to teach me but it just seemed so boring to me. I wish that weren't the case. Thankfully my dads gene skipped me and my soon off to law school son has it. He's already investing. It's so important and I like researching useless things. I would rather watch a country boy fix a washing machine I will never own. Lawd help me! :)
@@scotts4125 yeah pops said hey you might as well try one since you are right there. And I’m glad I did. Because i would’ve looked stupid if i had put a board on. Ive been selling options for a while now. Making pretty good money on the side. Hey a little help now days is a plus. Life has gotten expensive pretty fast it seems. As always thanks for the positive feedback. And same here. I don’t think I’ll own any of these types of units anytime soon. I’ll still to the old school as long as I can. 👍
@@LAapplianceguy I have a friend you actually kind of resemble him. He's from Yazoo City MS. Man can he turn that accent on. Screamer and yeller in court very effective too. Won huge jury trials. He's a pretty sharp atty. He could do all kinds of complex math problems in his head. He's a huge risk taker and did some stuff he probably shouldn't have. Anywho he got really into options. I don't understand any of it myself. He was always talking about puts and calls. He swears his Merrill Lynch broker at the time was in on some conspiracy against him with a family member. Once again I don't understand this stuff so just repeating what I remember. He would leverage himself in something and another person would somehow counter his exacts moves. He would double down and it started to piss him off. Instead of stopping he goes balls deep to the point of being $250,000 grand in the hole. He filed ethics complaints against Merrill Lynch and the broker. I think he also filed bankruptcy. Life happened and we didn't keep in touch so I don't know the eventual outcome. He was disbarred for some other stuff but probably the smartest most fun guy I ever met. I miss you James.
I've tried to get the codes, but no matter how many times I hold the on button and turn the knob 7 times, it doesn't work. The machine just starts on whatever setting it lands on.
@@ausseamore8386 I tried and tried again. And just put one on for the heck of it. And it worked. I have no clue why. I’m still wondering about this one. 😂 those are the ones you wake up thinking about. Why did it test fine but not work. 🤦♂️
Not a fan of these fancy high end GEs, notorious for exploding. Also tend to have more problems than the more basic ages, they also don’t have a proper rinse cycle even with fabric softener and extra rinse on. To do a spin before rinse you have to use the sanitize cycle or something. This is not a good machine. Not a fan of the new Profiles.

Does it have a loud noise in spin cycle?
@@homeguestunton no surprised the gearcase was good on this one 😂

@@SequoiaKC maybe it’s different. Are you holding “power on” or start. It has to be start. Did you find the tech newspaper under the bottom?

@@LAapplianceguy Is that the same as a safe word?

@@coolrobuxgaming 100% same here. Leaves dirt in the drum because the rinse is terrible. Like the Samsungs
So weird to me.
@LAapplianceguy I just went and bought this ge profile .model did I make the wrong pick????
@@ppooz no it will work and do the job. Common issues are lid locks on all these units
@@ppooz Not the best but better than some others. The rinse cycle on these is horrendous. No spin before rinse. Remember that.
